How do you guys deal with storage problems when living in Hong Kong?
Because of work, my wife and I need to settle down in Hong Kong. However, living space here is really limited, and over time, we've accumulated more and more stuff at home. Storage has become a real headache.
I've already bought quite a few storage cabinets for our home, but there's still not enough space. So, I've been renting a mini storage unit. I even chose one relatively close to my office in Central so I could drop by after work to pick things up.
However, the rent isn't cheap either. Even with a prepaid plan, it costs around HK$1,300 per month. Whenever I need to get something, I have to make a special trip after work. Working hours in Hong Kong can be pretty long, and I sometimes have to work overtime, so it's not always convenient.
I'm wondering how you guys deal with things that don't fit at home.
Do you just continue renting a mini storage unit, or are there any cheaper and more convenient alternatives? Any storage tips for living in a small apartment in Hong Kong would be greatly appreciated!
