Looming right behind the outfield is the illuminated reconstruction of Osaka Castle, offering one of the most unusual backdrops in professional sports history. The stadium served as the long-time home field for the Kintetsu Buffaloes before being demolished in 1997.

I was born in Osaka. I've seen the castle many many times, but I've never seen this picture. Absolutely incredible.
