Question Karadec and his endless patience with Morgan: Why, how far... and will she ever see it?

Discussion Does anyone else see Morgan and Karadec as autistic?
I'm autistic and HIP myself, with an IQ of 134 and this show makes me feel so fucking seen! So many things that happen in Morgan's brain are ultra familiar to me, like the fact that she literally can't let things go until they're solved, and she needs to fix a mistake if she sees one. Also, her trouble with social norms and her dislike/distrust of authority she doesn't respect. Don't say she doesn't respect or listen to authority at all because she listens for the most part to Selena and Karadec. It's also just how she spirals in that one episode, and how she finds patterns that would be a stretch for neurotypicals. She also is just very abrupt. With Karadec, it feels like police work is his special interest and he seems to have trouble showing his emotions in the "regular" way, something I have trouble with myself. It's also the fact that he seems to hate germs and always wears a suit when the others don't have to, which to me is him following a social script. What do y'all think? Am I on the nose or did I completely get this wrong?

Discussion Soto's work children
Who she loves deeply but also at times finds them annoying. Especially Morgan.
If Morgan asks about something, she will still answer even if she doesn't want her bothering her.
That one episode with the kidnapped children and the look she gives oz when he's describing a suspect.she was so done with him.
She's like a mother that's like go on sweetie 😘.
If something is up with someone, she will find out what like Oz and his dad's headstone. Or Karadec and Lucia coming back, she is his wing woman.

Question The Morgan-Karadec Trust Asymmetry: Why Is He 100% Transparent While She Hides Everything? Spoiler
If you look at how the writers handle honesty between Morgan and Karadec, the double standard is glaring:
When Karadec makes a mistake: Morgan called out Lucia's criminal behaviour, and Karadec initially rejected her take due to his feelings. But when Karadec arrested Lucia, Karadec goes straight to Morgan's house to apologize, face his blind spot, and show complete emotional vulnerability.
When Morgan holds the cards:
- The Rhys Lie: Karadec is literally the only person who still believes Morgan slept with Rhys. She knows this, yet she has never bothered to set the record straight and say: "We didn't actually go through with it."
- The Wagner Secret: She hides the kiss with Wagner and conceals her emotional attachment to him.
And what happens if Karadec inevitably finds out about Wagner in Season 3?
If Morgan remains linked to Wagner and the truth comes to light, what is Karadec supposed to do? Stay silent again? Be the "understanding guy" who just swallows another secret and accepts being kept in the dark?
When is Karadec allowed to have some self-respect and dignity when it comes to Morgan?
Karadec is forced to own his mistakes and offer 100% transparency, while Morgan is allowed to hide her romantic entanglements and let him believe false assumptions. They cannot be written as true equals until Morgan is required to show the exact same honesty.
Thoughts? Would Karadec swallowing the Wagner secret ruin his character, or does S3 need to give him back his spine?

Question Character race/ethnicity confusion
Full disclosure, I'm a basic white lady, and apologize in advance if I'm super ignorant.
I was caught off guard in S2E14 when Morgan and Daphne referred to Ava as Black; I had assumed from Roman's last name that he was Hispanic/Latino, although I'm not sure it's ever been specified. Does this mean Roman is Black? Or is he Latino and that is conflated with being Black? Or is this supposed to be ambiguous?
In any case, I liked how the show allowed Daphne and Ava to have that conversation about race, being minority women, and how it is perceived/reacted to by others -- it was a nice moment between them, highlighted a real and important phenomenon in the world, and added some complexity to the characters.
It also makes me wonder if this will be explored any further involving Karadec, since the actor is biracial, but his race/ethnicity has not been highlighted or discussed on the show (as far as I know). It could be an interesting point of connection between him and Ava as well.

Discussion Morgan’s Safety Net: What Happens If She Chooses Wagner? Spoiler
Hypothesis, since the season ended with Wagner injured: if Morgan and Wagner had actually started a relationship, I think there is one major consequence that hasn’t really been considered or discussed, at least in my opinion: what it would mean for Morgan’s relationship with Karadec and Selena.
Morgan still doesn’t seem to fully understand how much Karadec and Selena function as her safety net.
Karadec is Morgan’s work partner, but he has also become something much bigger in her life. He is the person who understands how she thinks, supports her when things go wrong, protects her professionally, and is willing to put himself on the line for her. With Rhys, he even lied in his report to protect her.
But if Wagner became Morgan’s boyfriend, Karadec would lose that role. He would no longer be the person Morgan naturally turns to when she needs someone to understand her, defend her, or fight a battle for her. Those are precisely the kinds of things that would now belong, at least primarily, to her romantic partner.
Karadec couldn't realistically continue being Morgan’s personal protector in the same way. The emotional and professional closeness would have to change. He would have to step back and let Wagner occupy the place he currently occupies in Morgan’s life.
And I think Morgan might not realize how significant that loss would be until she experienced it.
Selena would be even more complicated. She isn’t simply Morgan’s friend; she has her own history with Wagner. He obtained the captain position through family influence, taking the position Selena believed should have been hers. So Morgan dating Wagner would not just involve Selena accepting her friend’s boyfriend. It would mean watching her friend become romantically involved with the man whose position represents a very real professional grievance for her.
Selena could remain completely civil and professional, and still stop being the person Morgan turns to in the same way. Some things would simply become Wagner’s to deal with.
So Morgan could gain a romantic relationship while, without necessarily intending to, losing part of the safety net she currently has in Karadec and Selena.
And that is a consequence I would have wanted the show to explore: not whether Morgan was attracted to Wagner, but whether she understood what choosing him would change in the people who are already there for her.

Discussion My Season 3 wishes
SPOILERS
1) Now that we know that roman Is alive, I don't want them to make that case more complex. I have seen it happen so many times. They make the main long term ongoing case complex for mysteries but the climax never lands. Plus if it goes for too long , viewers will lose interest. So it's better if they show roman in the next season.
2) Slightly change the show's pattern. Seeing the same way every episode is unfolding gets repetitive and boring. The show had some really good cliffhangers and twists. So if the pattern changes even a little, it's gold.
3) I don't know why but I think when roman comes back, they are going to make a proper love triangle between karadec, morgan and roman. Even though morgan doesn't feel anything for roman anymore, Ava is clearly interested and excited. So maybe for her sake morgan will try to rekindle the relationship. ( I don't know, sorry I am reading too many fics I guess).
4) As I previously mentioned, they had a good cast they should use them. Not only as a supporting cast but as an ensemble cast.
5) I want to actually see morgan and karadec fall in love slowly n slowly. It's a slow burn for a reason. They became strangers to best friends way too quickly. In only a few episodes, karadec was changing because of morgan and karadec became morgan's no. 1 trustworthy person. They are different people with different personalities. And they became work spouses in the middle of season 1. Right now it feels like they are just good friends, so the journey to lovers should be beautiful.
6) No more weird blue eyes filter for morgan. She is a beautiful woman with beautiful natural eyes. Keep it like that. The close ups with the extra blue eyes filter are just scary sometimes.
These are just my opinions and wishes.

Question Why is S2 worse than S1? Let's talk about it (and why I'm #TeamKaradec) 🧐 Spoiler
First of all, a quick introduction: this is strictly MY personal opinion about what I didn’t like about Season 2. This is not a criticism of anyone.
And I want to make it very clear that I’m 100% Team Karadec.
Why?
NOT because I’m super romantic or looking for a Cinderella-style fairy tale, but because I genuinely believe that a guy like Ludo or Karadec is a much better partner in real life. They’re respectful, kind men who genuinely complement you, and Karadec has ALREADY proven that through his actions, even if Morgan has barely noticed it yet. And I’m sure she would still be Morgan in every sense of the word. Even better.
In fact, this perspective is perfectly reflected in Morgan’s panic attack scene, which, to me, is the best moment of the entire season 2. For me, someone who offers that kind of stability is worth so much more than a Rhys or a Wagner.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I feel like most of us agree that Season 2 took a step backward. In my opinion, the show gets tangled up and loses its way in these three main areas:
1. The whole Rhys storyline: These two filler episodes frustrated me so much, and they made me look at the other episodes differently from that point on. Maybe it’s an overreaction, but seeing Morgan like that genuinely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Morgan is portrayed as a MILF with a teenager’s attitude, completely losing her agency over a guy who just wanted to sleep with her. All her subsequent actions in 2x08 stem purely and exclusively from that attraction, including the final scene with the flowers, which causes her to let Rhys slip away.
2. Wagner and the endless Roman loop: Wagner shows up in 2x03, taking the place that, according to him, should have gone to Selena. He’s sent by Wagner Sr. and Willa Quinn with orders to shut down Morgan’s investigation into Roman. At first, he openly dislikes her, humiliates the entire team, and acts like a complete dictator.
Then, all of a sudden, toward the end of S2, he gets more screen time, becomes more affectionate, and Morgan completely forgets how he treated her. She gets hooked on the toxic, controlling guy all over again (just like with Rhys), turning it into a highly passionate romance.
On top of that, there’s the Roman plot: we’re already 31 episodes in, and this storyline keeps resurfacing every three episodes or so—like Red John in The Mentalist—just dragging things out to push everything to the end and leave us hooked for S3.
3. Lucia being forced into the storyline: They introduced her way too quickly. Karadec loses control because of her, which leads to that incredibly melodramatic finale: Morgan crying practically in Wagner’s arms, while Karadec is being held by Lucia, receiving the “love” of someone who has clearly deceived him.
If you don’t feel like writing a long response, that’s totally fine! A simple list is enough:
1 -
2 -
3 -
Short lists, even with just one word, are perfectly fine, but if anyone wants to elaborate, I’d love to hear what you think.

Discussion Theory about Wagner, Roman and what the S2 finale might actually mean Spoiler
I’ve been thinking about Wagner’s behavior throughout S2, and I’m starting to wonder if we’re looking at his relationship with Morgan completely backwards.
From the very beginning, Wagner seems unusually focused on Morgan. He keeps asking about her, gets involved in what she’s investigating, treats her terribly, tries to get her out of the precinct… and then, suddenly, his whole attitude changes. He becomes romantic and starts pulling her in emotionally.
At first I thought this was just the show setting up another complicated romance for Morgan. But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if Wagner was actually inserted into the precinct because of Morgan’s investigation into Roman. His goal may have been to interfere with her investigation, control what she knew and, ultimately, get to Roman.
And the fact that Wagner eventually gives information that helps locate Roman makes this even more suspicious.
The romantic turn could therefore be the final part of the manipulation. Wagner realizes he can’t simply push Morgan away from the case, so instead he makes her trust him. Morgan is already emotionally vulnerable to him because of the bizarre push-pull dynamic between them, so she ends up believing that he has genuinely changed.
Which brings me to the park scene.
We’re apparently meant to interpret Wagner changing the meeting time from 9:00 to 9:30 as him trying to save Morgan because he knows there’s danger. But what if that’s exactly what the show wants us to believe?
What if Wagner changed the time because he was setting something else in motion? And what if Roman was the one who attacked Wagner because he realized what Wagner was doing to Morgan?
That would completely change the meaning of the finale.
Roman could actually be living exactly as we’ve been told: he has disappeared, built a new life in another state and has his own family. He doesn’t want to come back into Morgan’s life. But when Wagner’s family/operation gets close enough to threaten Morgan and Ava, Roman intervenes one last time.
Not because he wants Morgan back. Not because he wants to restart their relationship. Just because, despite everything, he still protects them.
And then he leaves again.
Honestly, I think that would be a really good ending for both storylines.
Wagner could be completely exposed as someone who manipulated Morgan, so there’s no lingering “what if?” or romantic nostalgia. Morgan realizes that the relationship she thought she was building was part of the deception.
Roman, on the other hand, gets the opposite kind of closure. He’s already moved on with his life, but his final action shows Morgan and Ava that he never simply stopped caring about them. He saves them, they understand what he did, and then he goes back to the life he chose.
That would also make Karadec’s role much more interesting. He wouldn’t be “the guy who replaces Roman.” Morgan wouldn’t have to choose Karadec over Roman. Roman’s story would simply be finished.
Morgan could finally move forward because she has closed both doors: she discovers that Wagner was never what she thought he was, and she accepts that Roman is no longer part of her everyday life.
So maybe the big twist isn’t just “Wagner is secretly bad.”
Maybe it’s that we’ve been encouraged to believe that Wagner is protecting Morgan from Roman's investigation, when the reality is that Roman is the one protecting Morgan from Wagner.
If that’s where S3 is going, I think the 9:00/9:30 detail could end up being much more important than it looks right now.

Discussion The drama is kind of ruining it
I am new to the sub so I apologize in advance if I've said something repetitive!
I just found this show a couple days ago and fell absolutely in love with it immediately. I'm already on episode 10 of season 2. So sad to have to wait for another season.
That being said, I think season 2 is much weaker than season 1, at least in terms of enjoyment. Season 1 was a bit more lighthearted, with a good balance of crime and comedy. All the characters felt cohesive to the plot.
Season 2 has felt a bit like a soap opera with all the drama. I personally think it really takes away from the fun of the show. Also, is Wagner supposed to be likable? Because he pisses me off to no end and every time he's on screen I just want to roll my eyes and skip it. I personally think he adds nothing to show and nothing to team either. I feel like he's not even that helpful besides having connections?? He also just got Morgan fired so I'm hot off of a rage watch.
I am not sure about this but I also think that the formula for season 2 has been a lot more repetitive. The episodes start and end almost always the same way and crimes are always solved in a predictable manner.
I'm hoping season 3 will bring back the more enjoyable aspects of the show. This is not a hate post though I actually have loved watching this show and I adored season 1, just expressing some frustrations I have had with season 2.

Discussion I Think Morgan Deserves More Respect Than the Show Gives Her until now Spoiler
I think the discussion about Morgan's love interests is getting at something that bothers me about the character in general, but I don't think it's simply that "every man wants her."
In fact, other posts demonstrates the problem I'm talking about: Morgan is being discussed primarily in terms of how desirable she is to men.
And I think that's partly because this is how the show itself has constructed her.
Morgan is supposed to be a brilliant, chaotic, unconventional woman who doesn't follow rules. She is also attractive and sexual, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But the show repeatedly seems to frame her through her sexuality and through the kind of men who desire her.
It's not that she has romantic relationships. It's how those relationships are written.
With Tom, she has what feels like a one-minute conversation, gives him her number, and after a stressful situation he's suddenly living in her house. A few days later he's out of her life, with barely any emotional weight to the relationship.
With Rhys, she almost immediately throws herself into the possibility of sleeping with him, and the only thing that stops it is the scar. Then she becomes so captivated by him that she is willing to compromise Karadec and potentially her own career. Even the flowers add to this feeling that she's completely enchanted by the glamorous, dominant man who has walked into her life.
And then there are the comments about wanting Morgan to "fall" for a Thomas Crown/James Bond ancient type. That doesn't make the writing feel accidental to me. It reinforces the idea that this is supposed to be part of Morgan's character: she sees this kind of powerful, sophisticated, hyper-masculine man and simply falls for him.
Wagner takes it even further. Their relationship is toxic, and then suddenly, with only a couple of episodes left, Morgan is supposedly falling for him. He has already crossed a boundary by trying to kiss her, and the story eventually reframes that as something she actually wanted and encourages him to try again.
For me, that's not empowering sexual representation. It's objectification disguised as female sexuality.
Morgan is allowed to want sex. She is allowed to be attracted to men. She is allowed to make impulsive romantic decisions. None of that is the problem.
The problem is that so much of her sexuality seems to be written around men wanting her and Morgan being overwhelmed by a certain type of man.
And that is why I find it denigrating. Not because Morgan has sex, not because she dates, and certainly not because she's attractive. It's because a character who is supposed to be exceptionally intelligent and independent is repeatedly reduced to her body, her desirability, and her reaction to powerful men.
There is something particularly frustrating about seeing a 40-year-old woman written this way. She doesn't have to be prudish or emotionally restrained. But I'd like her relationships to show an adult woman making choices, developing genuine affection, being attracted to someone because of who they are, and sometimes making mistakes for reasons that actually tell us something about her.
Instead, too often it feels like the show puts a very conventionally attractive man in front of Morgan and says: look how irresistible he is to her.
That's what makes me sad about the character.
I genuinely hope the new showrunners keep Morgan's sexuality but stop making it the lens through which she is constantly defined. Let her want people without being reduced to wanting. Let her be attracted without being dazzled. Let her choose without constantly "falling."
I don't want less Morgan. I want more Morgan, and less of the object the show keeps turning her into.

Question Does EVERY male who works with Morgan have to make a move?
Seriously, it's so unnecessary. Alright, we can be OK with her being infallible, unnecessarily combative, and wildly inappropriate. But the desire of every man who crosses her path? I'm honestly surprised they haven't thrown Oz and Daphne at her. Rhyse was the final straw. Oh, you mean the rich, tailored suit wearing, supercar driving, globe trotting, art expert, with a sexy accent, and a great physique wants to immediately hook up with the \checks notes* 51 year old single mother who insults him while dressed like Tammy the daytime hooker (seriously, rewatch "My Name is Earl", it'ssuch a great show). OF COURSE HE DOES. WHY WOULDN'T HE?*
I'm not saying she's ugly. I'm not saying don't have a love interest for her. But did it have to be her partner, a random nurse who was way out of her league, the jet setting art investigator/James B9nd stand in, captain Wagner(What the literal fuck?), and then Karadec again. Right after he broke up with his ex-fiance/recent girlfriend turned accessory to murder. It'sso frustrating and weird. Just solve crime

Discussion The repetition is…. Meh
I started this show after seeing a clip the first episode on TikTok. I braided my hair and binged multiple episodes. I am now on S2 but I find myself turning it off or not watching for a while. The repetition of every plot is being too predictable and unoriginal 🙃🥲 it feels like I’m watching a Disney tv show, the ones with the repetitive plot.

Question What Do We Actually Want for Morgan’s Future? Spoiler
I’ve been thinking about Morgan’s future, and I’d genuinely like to hear some honest opinions rather than turning this into another shipping war.
What do we want for Morgan — or, more importantly, what do we think Morgan wants in the long term?
Do we see her eventually having a relationship, or being single with occasional encounters that become less frequent over time and potentially leave her alone?
And when I say “relationship”, I’m not talking about Cinderella, a conventional romantic relationship or some perfect fairytale. I mean someone with whom Morgan can be happy, be completely herself, remain independent, and still have some stability in her life. Someone who fits her. And someone who remains that person rather than becoming somebody else just because the relationship starts.
For example, Wagner.
I can absolutely see why Morgan would want him. There is immediate attraction, months of sexual tension, his persistence, and eventually the kiss. To me, Wagner represents intense sexual desire. I can see that becoming a sexual relationship or an ongoing sexual adventure.
But if we are talking about Morgan’s long-term future, what do people actually see with Wagner? What does their relationship look like once the sexual tension is no longer the main story? What makes them fit as partners beyond that attraction?
That’s the distinction I’m interested in. I’m not asking whether Morgan wants Wagner. I think she clearly does. I’m asking what people who see him as a long-term partner actually imagine for them.
Then there’s Roman. He comes back after all these years, and he was supposedly the great love of her life. Could Morgan and Ava forgive everything, rebuild their relationship and be happy? Sure. It’s a possibility, even if it would be a complicated one to explain.
There could also be someone completely new, introduced from outside the existing story, like Tom — someone the show would have to develop very quickly. That’s possible too. But just because is not a coworker outside her life right now.
Or there’s Karadec.
For me, Karadec represents the person who fits the future the show has actually been building for Morgan. He isn’t invasive. He is stabilizing. He already knows her life: her children, her chaos, her responsibilities, and her dynamic with Ludo. He has been seeing all of that for months and has already accepted it.
And with Karadec, sex would be part of the relationship, not the thing the relationship is primarily about.
Even Ava has already looked at him as a possible future for her mother — someone who could bring a certain amount of stability and peace into Morgan’s life.
I have no doubt Morgan and Karadec would still fight, clash, get angry with each other and drive each other crazy. But I also think they would keep coming back to each other, because that is who they are.
But that is my interpretation of what the show has actually built so far.
So I’d genuinely like to hear other opinions:
What do you think Morgan actually wants for her future?
Not just who she is attracted to now. Not just who has chemistry with her. What kind of person do you actually see beside Morgan in the long term, and what would that relationship look like?

Discussion Morgan & Ludo
Talking about Morgan’s S2 “love” interests has gotten me thinking about her relationship with Ludo in contrast. We don’t know a ton about it besides that they agreed they were better off friends toward the end, and maybe (am I making this up?) that the kids were oops babies? I’m curious if anybody has any headcanon about:
How/where did they meet?
What attracted them to each other?
Were they ever in passionate love, or was the relationship just kind of there and safe for all those years?
What were the issues with each other that culminated in the breakup?
Which one of them initiated the breakup?
Obviously not the most important or interesting thing in the series, but I have many casual questions.😬

Discussion Does Morgan Romanticize Men Who Sexually Pursue Her?
I know this is going to be very uncomfortable, and probably get me a lot of downvotes and maybe even insults, but here goes.
Honestly, I find it deeply degrading that, in 2026, an intelligent woman’s sexual desire is still being portrayed through this kind of dynamic.
What if Morgan is attracted to sexual persistence precisely because she finds these men irresistible?
In S2, with both Rhys and Wagner, there is a pattern: sexual persistence → Morgan feels intense attraction → she responds sexually → she then gives the relationship a romantic/emotional meaning.
With Rhys, despite his sexual pressure, Morgan eventually initiates a sexual relationship with him, and then the relationship gets framed in terms of him being a good man. And maybe a future sexual or even romantic relationship.
With Wagner, it's even more striking. He's her boss, he humiliates her, she rejects his first attempt to kiss her, and yet when he tries again while she's vulnerable, she accepts. The show then presents that kiss as the beginning of something romantic.
There may also be an older fantasy at work here: a little Fifty Shades of Grey fantasy, where the sexually dominant, persistent man who pushes boundaries is nevertheless imagined as a potential romantic partner. Or even the old Sean Connery-era James Bond archetype — something I honestly thought had become obsolete.
And then there's the contrast with Karadec. Many people rejects the possibility of a relationship with him partly because of the “we're coworkers” boundary, while the story seems perfectly willing to entertain a relationship with Wagner, who is also her coworker. And her BOSS.
And the comments around the show seem to reinforce this reading. Olson has said that Morgan wanted Wagner from the moment she saw him. Daphne's actress called the kiss “HOT.” Olson has said that Morgan accepting the kiss isn't just a fling, but the beginning of something new and romantic.
I'm not saying Morgan shouldn't want these men. She can be intensely, even irrationally, sexually attracted to them as a pattern. The interesting question is whether her attraction makes behavior she would normally consider inappropriate feel exciting when the man is the one doing it.
Maybe Morgan's specific weakness is that she likes sexually aggressive, persistent men when she finds them irresistible.
And what's particularly strange to me is that some of the women involved in the production seem to validate exactly that interpretation.

Discussion Wagner as Levi in recent Netflix's Ransom Canyon
Currently hooked onto this new show & it gave me a similar vibe like Virgin River kind if not the same.
Kind of found it funny that Steve Howey is all over and killing it. I mean I started binging this show like today, was checking on the cast names and their whereabouts in the middle, and bam ! There he is again 😂
Felt like has he been getting similar kind of villain-ish aura/vibe giving roles MORE lately post HP? He is playing one of the protagonist's younger brother Levi in this new show, but - it was good to see him. Again. Lmao, ngl !
Gives me a reason more to somewhere hold on to what's coming next here for Wagner (and 🤞as much as I hate to admit but this silent crush & sudden shipping him and Morgan, hope he is not dead dead the next thing we see in HP - & the story gets to see something interesting for both, and ofcourse MorDec).
Okay enough of it now. Did anyone catch up to Ransom Canyon and found Wagner there?
Let's hear you all. Its been a while.

Question Karadec and lucia
SPOILERS
Is it only me or does anyone else also think that karadec and lucia seem really happy together. And lucia should have been there longer. This being in on a crime is a very lame excuse to throw her out. And morgan and karadec are slow burn but they became friends/ partners pretty quickly. I want to see how and why and when karadec and morgan became so important to one another. I don't have a problem with morgan and karadec but their relationship should be something more than a regular partnership. Which it is currently....
Morgan has been saying she is not good at relationships, so show us how and why karadec will be different. Plus their chemistry has to be up and intense. Right now it just seems like a typical partnership/ friendship. They both are good people ,who care about their loved ones , so how morgan is different for karadec and vice versa. Then it'll be interesting to see...
