Housing What’s a good budget for a studio apartment in Heidelberg?
I’m looking with warm rent I want options, I have minor OCD, that’s why I would prefer to stay alone, cuz I like to keep every detail tidy.

Depends on the size. I used to pay around 850 ten years ago for around 45 m2. The next one i moved into was similar in same size and already a hundred bucks more expensive. I guess these days you would pay at least 950€ for 45m2 and up.
But the area matters too. Begheim and Bahnstadt are pretty expensive. The further away from the city center, the cheaper it gets, i imagine.

Where can I search to get these, I’m not in Germany, what websites would you recommend?

I used ImmoScout24 app for all my appartments. Unfortunately, the number of available appartments/studios are so limited these days, that in order to even get a shot of messaging the owner, it's best if you pay a short "membership" for immoscout+, which will allow you to contact the owners right away. If you only use the free version, your messages to the owner are delayed by 3 days and that's often enough time, for the owner to have received enough messages by plus members, that they take the listing down.
It's really difficult to find a place, so good luck, and if possible, be as early as you can, because it can take months to find a good place.

You should probably try the Wieblingen area first, since that's where the SRH is. I never lived there, but i'm assuming it's already a little cheaper than Bahnstadt for example. Pfaffengrund seems close, but doesn't have the best bus/tram connections (it will take you into the wrong direction first (into Bergheim) and takes 20-25 minutes). Same goes for Handschuhsheim as far as i remember.
My suggestions:
1. Wieblingen, 2. Bergheim, 3. Bahnstadt (expensive, but for me, worth it because it's a very new area with lots of young people, good coffee places, a nice promenade area, the Halle02 for events/concerts), 4. Weststadt1

I’m not so concerned about the public transport, I might buy a car when I get there so that’s not a issue or rent a car

Look into leasing or Stadtmobil (car sharing service, has cargo vans).
I am vacating a furnished studio for 950€ warm very close to Bismarckplatz, 30m2 but in reality bigger since it is under a roof. Unfortunately this is around now…1

That makes sense. Although parking obviously costs an additional 100 bucks if you rent a parking spot in a garage and for some (probably most) areas (such as Bahnstadt), there is no free street parking.

If I’m renting a car, it comes with parking yea, or is that just public parking and I’ve got to get private parking for my accommodation to?

I'm not sure what rules apply to rental cars, but I know for sure that if you want to get a parking permit (valid only for the area you live in, so not valid in any other area of Heidelberg, around 120€ a year), you need a car that's actually registered in your name (or permission by the owner of the car). Otherwise you will have to pay the ordinary parking fee, which will be very pricey long term. So the easier solution would probably be to rent a parking spot in the garage of your appartment building, which is also pretty expensive though.
There is some carsharing parking available, but i'm guessing that can only be used if you actually rent your car with their service. I don't think that applies to other rentals.
There are still some areas where you can park your car for free (Rohrbach for example), but availability is also a bit of a problem, especially if you use the car everyday and have to move it a lot. It's overall a bit of a nightmare when it comes to affordable parking around here. You should probably expect an additional cost of 100€ per month if you bring/rent a car. But I get it, i don't rely on public transportation either. I do everything on foot, or if it's too far, also by car.

Well I’m so use to driving around my car in Dubai, that if I don’t have one there I will feel empty🤣, maybe I get a car sharing I’ve seen apps like (miles) maybe I use those whenever I need them, or what’s a good site?
Also appreciate your reply loads, dinner on me once I’m there🥂

Depends heavily on the area. Altstadt / Oldtown? Bahnstadt? Weststadt? Boxberg? Emmertsgrund? :D
