I keep seeing people say that Pilot Alastor is a better character, and just glazing the Pilot in general, and I don't get what everyone sees in it.

Let's start with why I think the Show is better than the Pilot. First off, the Show is gorgeous and the Pilot's art style is far worse. 2nd, the music is FAR better in the show. 3rd, the plot was so cliche, and the characters were much more shallow in the pilot. 4th, The Hotel is a much more fitting environment in the Show. Finally, I just don't think the voice acting was that good, especially when compared to the show.

Now Why I think Series Alastor is better than his pilot Version. 1st, his voice acting. I know a lot of people loved the voice of Pilot Alastor and all of his little sound effects, but I have never been a fan of either. The Alastor we get in the show has my favorite Voice performance amongst the whole cast. 2nd, The Red Magic Effects are far worse than the Green and Purple we got in the show. Finally, my 3rd and biggest reason why I believe Series Alastor is the better version is because he is a F#CKING CHARACTER. Pilot Alastor was cool and had his charm, but he was also far too shallow for my tastes, and even if he got the plotlines of Show Alastor, they fit his personality way worse. Show Alastor is so much more complex and layered than his pilot Counterpart, and that makes him far more enjoyable to me. His Belief that he was untouchable was great, but watching his realization that he wasn't, and subsequent Work to try and ensure that he truly became untouchable is so interesting. I love how he comes off as a hypocrite when speaking to Vox, because he used to be Like Vox, so he knows how to get under his skin. Alastor and Lucifer bantering is the highlight of the show for me, and we wouldn't really get that if he had his Pilot Personality.

Note: I Still Think that Pilot Alastor is a Great Character, it's just that Series Alastor is constantly going Back-and-Forth with Jax for my 3rd/4th favorite character in all of Fiction.

Ok so I’m new here. The only thing I knew going into this show, and also the main reason I wanted to watch, was that I’d heard Alastor was one of the few canonically asexual characters in media. And I’m aroace myself so I’m happy for any representation 😭

So I just finished season 1 ep 5 and let me tell you, I seriously love everything about this character. He’s always lurking creepily and looking like he has ulterior motives going into every interaction. But then with Mimzy in this ep she’s like assuming he doesn’t actually care about the hotel and he just says well if you want to be redeemed feel free to come in 🤷 I loved that.

Very excited to watch the rest of this show. It’s all interesting but I am just here for Alastor

For any Bisexual Hazbin fans here, would you say Charlie is good Bi representation? As a straight man irl, I’d say she is. She loves her girlfriend, but she’s also dated guys before and she’s happy.

With Angel back with the Vees, I’m wondering if we’re going to get deeper into the nature of his contract? I guess it’s possible he just signed up because he thought Valentino was hot, but here’s my theory:

Angel killed his father, who presumably was some kind of mafioso and therefore also ended up in Hell. So while it’s possible that his dad got on the wrong side of an Exorcist, I think that Angel’s contract is some kind of protection racket to keep him from encountering his father down there.

Now this is really stretching Charlie’s competency, but I suspect the contract can be unraveled by getting Angel to reconcile with his father. That’s a stretch, but Hell is Forever so it’s on the table.
