Cis Woman Need advice on Estrodiol patch side effects
Hi, I am a 53yo F, surgical menopause in 2022. Doc didn't advice HRT after surgery. Started estradiol patch in mid-2023 for 2-3 months, then dropped after bloating and breast tenderness. Gap of 1 year with no hrt, then went to HRT pallets. Did that for year, didn't like the surgical insertion every 3 months so stopped cold turkey. Went another year without hrt, and now back on hrt because of head pressure, dizziness, anxiety. 2 months ago started with estradiol daily gel, and switched to patch after a month of gel - 0.037mg for 2 weeks, then stepped up to 0.05mg. But this time, patch is leading to extreme fatigue, dizziness, nausea, balance issues and emotional lows that come and go during the day. I find myself bawling and feeling hopeless all of sudden.
Need advice - are these expected side effects? I am confused if I should be stepping down back to 0.037mg patch or stick it out because I hear this is an adjustment phase that can run from 4-8 weeks. I need some real world advice from women who have been through this. Thanks in advance!

Cis Woman Testosterone impacting Duavee benefits
I've been on Duavee for over 6 months. It's helped my mood tremendously and took away the hot flashes and leg cramps. But I'm just utterly exhausted on it and for the first time ever my thyroid panel is off, albeit slightly.
So doc suggested trt. After just a couple weeks my hot flashes are back, I can feel the legs tingling and cramps around the corner. Also, I have a slight burning on one of my shins. What the heck.
Is testosterone knocking down the benefits of the estrogen?
Doc denies exhaustion could be from Duavee or that the burning sensation could be from testosterone. Anyone experience either of these effects?

Cis Woman Switched from patches to gel and getting night sweats again :/
Using for peri and been on hrt for two years. It’s been about two weeks since the switch and I’m having sweats every night. Apparently google says that’s normal when you switch and can last a few months. I can’t take anymore nights I’m running out of tshirts and sheets! Any advice from those who’ve switched? Taking half a tablet of the pregnisone (bad spelling) everyday along with one pump.

Cis Woman Feel like I’m going mad
Hey everyone … as the post states I feel like I’m going a little bit crazy . I’ve recently started micronised progesterone with evorel 50 . I’m also on ryeqo doing the whole chemical menopause because my body hates me so dealing with adenomyosis and endometriosis. So …. I’m on my 2nd night with the 200mcg progesterone and I took it at 10pm , it’s now 1am and I cannot sleep .
Everytime I nearly fall asleep I’m startled awake by what I can only describe as hearing a voice in my ear and instant panic anxiety . I feel on egde and ache like mad . Is this normal and does it go away ? Should I continue and give it longer ?? 😬🫣 as for the estrogen , amazing stuff ! I thought I was entering perimenopause before all this palaver because I was feeling hot and sweaty all the time and that’s disappeared which is very nice . But urghhh progesterone 👎🏻 not enjoying that 😓

Cis Woman Heavy periods after starting HRT?
I’m a cis woman on estradot 37.5 (recently increased from 25) and cyclical micronized progesterone (200mg for 12-14 days) for early perimenopause. I’m on my 4th period since beginning HRT and it is ridiculously heavy. Like bleeding through a pad an hour with large clots for three hours, having to leave work to change my clothes kind of heavy. Prior to starting HRT I still had regular, short-ish cycles that were getting lighter. I’ve previously been told I have adenomyosis and a fibroid but have been asymptomatic. Did anyone experience this? Did it normalize after 6 cycles or so? Did you have to adjust your doses? I am happy with how my other symptoms are responding to HRT, but I don’t know if I can deal with this level of bleeding each month.

Cis Woman Unethical to take HRT in shortage when symptoms are mild?
I just started HRT not realizing there's a shortage. My perimenopause symptoms are on the milder side. Should women like me stop because others need the meds more? Or by even posing the question, am I pitting us against each other by creating a hierarchy of need, when systemic issues are really the cause?

Cis Woman Advice on keeping once weekly patches on the full week?
Hello, I searched the sub for once weekly patches and didn't immediately see anything so I was wondering if anyone had advice on keeping the once weekly patches on the whole week. It seems no matter where I place them the edges lose adhesion and then water gets under when I shower making the whole thing fall off. Or I sweat them off (they're so large and thick!)
I was on the twice weekly patches which worked a whole lot better but all the pharmacies nearby that my insurance will cover don't have them in stock.
