A Very Haunted Renovation - E5 (Spoilers) Spoiler

You have to be joking.

SK made an ugly white trellis that doesn't match anything, that would have to be torn down to fix, with a tacky little vinyl saying on it. The only compliment she got was that she chose black mulch (because there's SOOOOO many mulch colors out there....).

Meanwhile, dude made a whole swing, upholstered it, created sick hanging things, neat book holders, cup holders, great floor color, etc. Only thing he got knocked on was picking the wrong table, which could easily be replaced.

TL;DR:

- SK: Feature project bad, mulch color good

- Logan: Feature project great, table choice bad

And they send him home? Are you KIDDING me?

I just watched yesterday's episode. It involved an expert flipper (Joshua) who had purchased a home for $980,000 and was planning to invest $140,000 and list it for $1,360,000. Then he got Alison involved. Spoiler Alert - Alison convinced Joshua to increase his budget and give her 30% of the profit once the house sold. He ended up investing $218,500. Per Zillow, the house was listed for $1,599,777, went through nine price changes over two months before they got an offer, and finally sold for $1,400,000. That means it cost the flipper $78,500 to make an extra $40,000 (not counting the extra carrying costs because the house was originally over-priced and the 30% he had to give Alison). The final sales price was not disclosed in the episode. I wonder why.

"Must be close to a Therapist" is the episode title.

This is a fucking joke right? These aren't real people. The dude with the worst hair cut ever did not just say he needs to be close to his barber... and his "job" is making YouTube videos for his 7,000 subscribers.

Please say these are paid actors.

House Hunters International episodes with couples who hate each other

My fiancee and I love watching House Hunters for the drama between the couples.

Lately, we've been working through the International episodes, and I was wondering if anyone knew of some specific episodes with couples like this.

Hometown - The Heirloom update?

Living in the UK I have only just been watching the makeover for the hotel and hearing about the fire was shocking! Do they have to restart the whole thing or is any of it salvageable? Are they still waiting on the insurance? Can they not do anything until that comes through?

House Shock S1 E3 Baby Onboard, Reno Underway

Did you like the kitchen and dining room renovation? Did the banquette make the small dining room more functional in this home? What did you think about the designer moving the refrigerator to the dining room far wall about 20 feet away from the stove?

When the husband came home to the camera crew in his renovated kitchen do you believe that he felt free to react honestly to the surprise changes?

House Shock TV Show

I know that Aerial is the designer and Steve , is the contractor on the show, but it seems like he does the majority of all the work and all her designs always consist of blue , green or brown colors in everyone's home. As a designer , I thought that she would have a little bit more diverse with her designs and colors. Rating, I would give Steve a 8 out of 10 , and I would give Aerial a 4 out of 10.

Looking for House Hunters episode with  a husband excited about finding a home with a bathroom phone.

I’m trying to find an episode of House Hunters where a husband gets super excited about a house because there’s a phone next to the bathtub.

The house had an older style, possibly from the ’80s or ’90s. I can’t remember much else about the couple or the episode, but the bathroom phone really stood out to me!

I’ve tried searching with a variety of different terms, but I haven’t been able to track down the episode. Does anyone remember which episode this might be, or have any suggestions for finding it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Seeing this week’s episode and Charlie talking about his cancer diagnosis really elicited empathy from me as a three time cancer survivor. I’m sending prayers and positive thoughts to him and his entire family. You got this Charlie! 💙💙💙

Did you get a chance to watch the first episode of this new season? The homeowner seemed to be thrilled with the outcome. Do you think she made a huge improvement from what the space looked like before?

Alison Victoria shows are guaranteed to have a lot of drama. What’s your opinion of the drama level for this first episode?

(I must confess that I often watch renovation shows just for relaxation and also to get some design ideas for my home but that’s not what I get from her shows. I mainly watch her shows when I can’t find anything else to watch. I certainly don’t find her shows to be relaxing.)

Does anyone else wish HGTV had more gardening shows?

I’ve gotten really into gardening lately after finally moving to a place with my own yard and wow I had no idea how expensive it could get as a beginner. I’m constantly learning little tips and tricks from other gardeners and finding new ways to save money. I wish there was more of that on HGTV or stuff you can actually try at home. It’s also just a nice escape. Sometimes I want to turn something on, relax a little and learn something while I’m watching.

Anyone else? And if you know any good gardening shows, I’d love recommendations! 🪴

It started out rough for me but this show has actually grown on me. I hope I’m not alone. Charlie is character no doubt, right? Idk. I’m watching the latest episode and I like him and the show. The cancer diagnosis was a bit of a shock but I appreciate the honesty and wish the best for him.

HGTV Season 8 New Format

So, I just heard that there will be a season 8 of Rock the Block. I really love the concept of taking identical homes with the same interior layouts and being creative to add value.

For seasons 1-3, I felt like they were on par with the added value aspect. In past seasons, I feel like HGTV has been losing the core theme: added value. How about a new twist: the homes should be a reasonable size like the first 3 seasons (more so like season 1 but a tad bigger), kept identical, and feature blind judging, with the twist being that the interiors are completely empty. I feel that if they do not add any interior walls, it will allow the designers to shape how big or small their weekly room challenges are and decide where to put them.

This would also showcase their space planning skills, and we could stop seeing the same things over and over again. This show needs to turn it up a notch.

What do you guys think?
