Does anyone recognised Game of Thrones is not longer available in UHD Dolby Vision? Am I the only one?

I gave my girl my HBO max login so that she can use my account but she’s having an issue. When she goes to click on the HBO MAX app, hoping that it opens up and it will allow her to put in my email and password..this screen pops up asking for a code. We have no idea what code the HBO MAX app is wanting and/or where it could be bc she hasn’t even got to the part where my account would even generate a code for her to plug in BC SHE HASNT EVEN GOT TO THE SIGN IN PAGE. She’s doesn’t have the firestick, like myself..so she’s going through Roku to access HBO MAX. If anyone has some helpful feedback for me that would be very much appreciated🙏🏽

Long story short, I had the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN bundle through Verizon, a standalone Hulu Premium subscription (for no ads), and a standalone HBOMax subscription. About a year ago, I received an email from HBO, indicating the HBO plan I was on included Disney+ and Hulu. Completely ignored it, but it percolated through one day and it clicked that I was essentially paying for Hulu three times, and Disney twice, for more than a year. So dumb.

I cancelled the Verizon plan and cancelled the Hulu plan. The Verizon plan disconnected immediately, the Hulu plan is in the cancellation window.

When I login to HBOMax, I can see the link to activate the Disney/Hulu perk, but when I click it and follow the prompts, it sends me to an error page, indicating an issue with a third party email. Only option is to click the "OK" button, which then sends you to the Disney/Hulu viewer.

Under the "MyDisney" login, it shows I'm linked to the Hulu Premium subscription, which is in the cancellation window (content available through Oct 27 ~ two weeks from now).

From the research I've done, it appears the issue is that there is a third-party block on the Disney+ side, related to the fact that I use the same email for all services. I called Disney support to see if they could resolve, but it took them 15 minutes to get through the first step that I had already done in 15 seconds. The rep was in over her head, couldn't understand the issue, and was overall not helpful. At the end, she said try contacting HBO, since that is where the new bundle is through.

It's my understanding that Disney needs to release the third-party block, but they're telling me to contact HBO. Has anyone been through this? If so, how was it resolved? I would prefer to keep me email addresses the same, as they link to the content profiles. Is there a painless way to have Disney release the block, or do I have to wait until the Hulu cancellation window ends to re-link the account? Even if the Hulu cancellation window ends, will I even be able to re-link the HBO bundle using the same email?

Edit: I contacted HBO, spent an hour and a half on the chat, going in circles. I was instructed to contact Disney/Hulu again, and request an immediate account cancellation, rather than the pro-rated cancellation. I did that, and saw immediately that Hulu was cancelled. Trying to login to hulu now takes me directly to the mydisney account page, no subscriptions shown. Tried the activation link again through HBO, still giving the third party email error. I'll wait 24 hours and try again.

Edit 2: Contacted Disney/Hulu because the activation link still wasn't working. The Disney/Hulu rep indicated there was no active subscription, the activation link should work. It obviously didn't which is why I contacted them. They suggested using a different email again, which I refused because I didn't want to lose my viewing history, but more to the point, it shouldn't matter which email I use if they are showing no active subscriptions. It was going in circles again, and eventually the rep suggested I cancel HBO, and sign up for the same plan from Disney. I hard stopped there, and told them it was shady and unethical to suggest that, as the block I was experiencing was coming from their side. The Disney/Hulu rep insisted there was no block and there was no active subscription tied to the email. Then the activation link should work, right? But it doesn't. The rep then suggested I contact Verizon, to see if they cancelled the previous plan. I told him the Verizon plan was cancelled, and it was cancelled immediately. I told him I knew the Verizon plan was cancelled because, ready for this, I had no access to Disney/Hulu. I pushed back appropriately, and made it clear that I'm paying for a service through HBO, of which Disney/Hulu is a partner, and that Disney/Hulu was preventing me from accessing that service. Not HBO, not Verizon. Disney/Hulu is where the error is and it needs to be corrected without forcing me to call other providers that can't fix it.

They were "unable" to fix the issue, and suggested that I wait until "after the Verizon cancellation goes through." This obviously irritated me more, so I told him to clarify how that would help. If Disney/hulu is showing no active subscriptions, how would waiting on an unrelated third party correct a login link between two separate companies? I made it clear that I was done with them redirecting me to other companies and they needed to resolve the issue. Disney/Hulu was still unable to correct the login issue, but activated my subscription for an interim period, based on their assumption that when the "verizon" issue clears, everything will work again. The date they gave for the "verizon" issue clearing up had no correlation to Verizon billing, but was oddly the exact day the pro-rated hulu cancellation window would have closed.

I will watch VisionQuest tonight and be happy. I have pushed the balance of the fight to the future and will update accordingly.

I have to say, I am really enjoying the new addition of Howard Stern. I had not listened to the show in many many years. I couldn't stand the fact that he was only on three days a week, now he's only on one day a week. All he would talk about is his guitar and his art. And just bitch and moan being worth hundreds of millions of dollars, having the most lovely wife inside and out, and general pain and suffering.

But they take the show and re-cut it up like the glory days of the show where you were being entertained by interviews, jinx, arguments, etc.

If you are an old-school fan of Howard Stern and missed those days, this will give you a good taste. Check it out.

Just finished The Sopranos and loved it.

I just finished Boardwalk Empire. The Sopranos was my favorite show ever, and I loved The Wire and OZ. I'm looking for more great series to binge. I'm a stay at home mom and have lots of time on my hands. Someone sugested Warrior, so I'm on episode of 1 of that. What else is great on HBO? Thanks in advance!

Loved it. A show I actually did nothing but watch.

Didn't brush the dog (he's a golden. Given a choice of 5 years prison time or being released when all the hair is brushed out, take the 5 years. It's quicker), browse reddit, do my nails, or take a party-sized bag of vitamins. Nothing but watch and pay attention.

Can't wait for the next season.

I live in a city about an hour and a half from my parents. I mooch off their streaming services. Got a screen today saying "you've marked your account as traveling too many times", so can only watch HBO on my phone now.

I'm not ridiculous in saying it's awful watching movies and long shows on a tiny phone screen, right? Wanted to watch The Long Walk this evening and also start Lanterns this week but I guess my plans have changed.

I’m just getting into my Halloween horror movie run and started with Polergeist (1982) which totally holds up and you should watch if you haven’t. I love that it seems like HBO has all of the popular horror movie franchises cooking right now. I came across the Evil Dead movies which I’ve never seen. I'm watching ALDS Game 5 on HBO Max, and the volume difference between the game and commercials is ridiculous. Every commercial is drastically louder than the actual broadcast.

I have the Premium ad free plan, and I completely understand commercials during live sports. That's not my issue. It's the absurd volume increase every time an ad comes on.

I'm in California, and I thought there were laws against this by now. If this is widespread, I wonder if there's grounds for a class action lawsuit.

It seems there is no workable app for HBOMAX in the UK! I’m paying 45£ a month and anytime i go in the app store i can’t find it and if i find an external link it says can’t connect to the app store despite having perfect wifi and fully updated ios devices. Does anyone know why this is or if there is ant update on when we will get an app in the UK?

Hola, quería consultar si alguien sabe como cancelar definitivamente una suscripción a Hbo max anual, quería una mensual ya que solo quería probar por un mes pero no se que paso o no leí bien que no vi que decía anual y me suscribi😭😭, la cosa es que ya lo probé por unos días y no me ha gustado porque no tiene nada de mi interés pero cuando fui a cancelar me aparece lo siguiente...

Que mi plan caduca recién el año que viene y que hasta entonces me van a cobrar y la verdad es que no quiero eso. Así que, alguien sabe que puedo hacer para cancelar definitivamente y que no me estén cobrando en los próximos meses?
