I grew up with an Xbox 360 and guitar hero 3 was one of my favourite games when I was younger. I would often search about many games I played online and try to find cool easter eggs and secrets about them. One day I stumbled upon a video that mentioned a secret in guitar hero, I'm pretty sure it was guitar hero 3 but I cannot be sure. Basically it involved going into practice mode, putting the audio settings to a specific number and that allowed you to hear someone screaming; I was a child at the time, so I was too scared to even check if it was real. Recently, I randomly remembered that moment, and went to search about it, and I found nothing. I remember pretty vividly seeing a video about that, so now I don't even know if it ever actually existed. I'm sure it was a hoax, but I would still like to know what that video was. If anyone remembers anything similar to that, or knows abou it, please comment because now I'm curious and I want to put this silly childhood mystery to sleep
I just joined the discord but it seems like I can’t talk in the servers, or they aren’t active? Not sure but just wanted a place that was easier to see if others were online playing!
Just picked up this lot of 163 Guitar Hero and Rock Band items. It has guitars (obviously), drums, microphones, DJ hero, 2 Dance Red Octane dance pads and some more stuff I have yet to go through. Definitely going to be a project sorting through everything and testing it all out.
I played guitar hero at an pub with my friend and we both adored it! I want to know what the best way to play is, or like any specific games that have a good library?
I have a Ps5, Xbox360 and then a not awful laptop.
I’d love to play at home and just wanted some advice on what to get
Got wiitar thing Working and my wiitar/remote connected. Got clone hero all loaded but absolutely no controller input working. Im using an OG guitar works perfect on my wii. Im using a Msi claw 8ai+ just will not work one but any advice is appricated. Thanks
So I recently purchased a ps2 slim and the USB ports work for charging my phone but when I plug in my Guitar Hero Dongle it doesn’t power it.. am I missing something? Dongle works great on my PC. Is this common for the Slim? They worked on my fat model.
I modded my PS2 Guitar Hero guitar with mechanical keyboard switches. It's definitely not the prettiest mod, but the fret buttons don't get stuck anymore, and that's what matters
I had recently gotten Guitar Hero: Metallica from a guy off of Mercari for a pretty nice price. It had also came with Rock Band and The Beatles Rock Band. Both games were running fine, yet Metallica is the only one giving me problems. I can’t even get past the start up screen without it freezing. Ontop of that, the fans on my 360 completely stop. The disc doesn’t have anything scratching or anything to make you think it’ll not work. Plus I have a 500gb hard drive, so it can’t be that I’m out of storage. Can anyone help out? I’ve been waiting to play this game for years.

I wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else experiencing MIDI dropouts with the Alesis Nitro Max on Windows 11.
🔴 The Problem
My drum kit worked correctly when connected to my laptop via USB, but after some time, it would stop sending MIDI notes.
Windows still detected the Alesis Nitro Max.
MIDI-OX stopped receiving notes when I hit the pads.
Programs relying on the MIDI signal stopped working properly.
Disabling and re-enabling the USB device using pnputil temporarily restored functionality.
🧪 Solutions I Tried Without Success
I tried several things before finding a solution:
Changing the USB cable and trying different USB ports.
Reinstalling the USB and AMD chipset drivers.
Uninstalling Armoury Crate.
Updating the BIOS.
Reinstalling Windows MIDI Services.
Restarting MIDI services.
Trying different MIDI-OX configurations.
None of these steps permanently fixed the issue.
✅ The Solution That Worked for Me
1. Disable USB power saving
In Windows Device Manager, I checked the USB hubs and disabled the following option wherever it was available:
“Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”
I also configured my power plan for maximum performance.
2. Use an externally powered USB 2.0 hub
I connected a 7-port USB 2.0 hub with its own external power supply between my laptop and the Alesis Nitro Max.
After testing this setup for several hours and then for more than five days, I no longer experienced MIDI dropouts.
In my case, this was the most effective solution.
🔎 How to Check for the Problem Using MIDI-OX
If you want to verify whether your drum kit is still sending MIDI notes:
Download and open MIDI-OX.
Go to Options → MIDI Devices.
Under MIDI Inputs, select Alesis Nitro Max.
Click OK.
Hit the drum pads.
Check whether MIDI messages appear in the monitoring window.
When everything is working, you should see MIDI messages appear as you hit the pads. When my issue occurred, Windows still detected the drum kit, but MIDI-OX stopped receiving notes.
📝 Conclusion
I can't guarantee this solution will work on every computer, but in my case, combining USB power-saving adjustments with an externally powered USB 2.0 hub resolved an issue that persisted despite trying numerous other solutions.
I hope this helps someone experiencing the same problem with the Alesis Nitro Max and Windows 11!

Desinstalar Armoury Crate.
Actualizar la BIOS.
Reinstalar Windows MIDI Services.
Si quieres verificar si tu batería sigue enviando notas MIDI:
Descarga y abre MIDI-OX.
Entra en Options → MIDI Devices.
En la sección MIDI Inputs, selecciona Alesis Nitro Max.
Pulsa OK.
Dear person that took my guitars off the rubbish pile out the front of my old house we just moved from in Melbourne Australia. If you happen to see this and have a heart, understand these were thrown away by someone that was helping us move when I was not present. And assumed them to be toys…I can’t even fathom this.. it’s the longest shot possible but if you see this I’d very much like them back.
This chart is wayyyy easier than Rock Band's but I suck at alt strumming so I kept missing at the end. I gave up and then came back to it a couple hours later and got it first try. Done on PS3
