I just wanted to make this post to gush about how much i love the werewolf/raven forms
I’ve bounced off this game for years and I decided to give it another try after the new class came out, and it has sparked my full interest in the game. My biggest issue has always been that I never felt like I had a super amount of impact when playing the early game, all my abilities never had a good feel to them. I had a friend who told me the game was really flashy, and I never understood how he felt like that.
both transformations though, finally give me the impactful feeling i crave , i feel great running around as a horrific beast taking quests. my biggest power fantasy is running around as this big nigh immortal monster that likes to do small errands for people.
And grim dawn’s campaign has finally grabbed me as well. I’ve started to really appreciate the world now that i find my own character satisfactory. I love wandering into and exploring random caves, I’ve adored finding a tucked away boss that absolutely humbles my build, and i’ve actually been somewhat into the story
Apologies for the diary posting incase it’s considered not proper here, just wanted to share my feelings on the new class.
I was also wondering, would it be worth it to have two separate characters with the same mastery combo? I’ve been running Berserker/Occultist for Maximum Bird and plus i heard there was a way to convert the great raven into cold damage to go along with wereraven. However I also love the way occultist and berserker combine when using werewolf converted into chaos damage. Is there any real reason to make these separate characters beyond just organization? If not, is there any other second mastery that goes well with werewolf thematically? I was thinking nightblade or maybe even oathekeeper as backups
EDIT: Also just wanted to point that its really cute that faldis gets so scared of you in were-form.
also also, if anyone knows of any modded classes that add transformations similar to werewolf/raven, i’d love to try them
