🚨URGENT - Missing Person from Germany 🚨

EN PRIORITÉ au commissariat de police de Grenoble, qui est saisi du dossier.
La police a été informée de sa disparition. Si vous vous trouvez en montagne
et que votre information est urgente, appelez le 112 — ce numéro joint
également le secours en montagne (PGHM).
MISE À JOUR IMPORTANTE (14 octobre 2026) :
Nous avons pu établir que Willi n'est pas resté à Grenoble. Le samedi
10 octobre dans l'après-midi, il a pris un VTC depuis le centre de Grenoble
jusque dans le massif du Vercors et a été DÉPOSÉ AU VILLAGE DE
LANS-EN-VERCORS À 16H32. C'est le dernier endroit dont nous puissions prouver
la présence. Nous recherchons donc désormais des témoins à Lans-en-Vercors et
dans les environs, et plus seulement à Grenoble. Les détails figurent dans la
chronologie ci-dessous.
PERSONNE DISPARUE – Aidez-nous à retrouver Willi Matecki
Willi Matecki est porté disparu depuis le 10 octobre 2026, au cours de son
voyage à travers la France. Depuis ce jour, il n'a donné aucune nouvelle à sa
famille ni à ses amis. Nous n'avons pas non plus réussi à le joindre par
téléphone ni par message.
Willi voyageait seul à travers la France. D'après nos dernières informations,
il avait réservé une chambre à l'« Aparthotel Adagio Lyon Patio Confluence »
à Lyon, du 8 au 11 octobre 2026.
Lorsque nous avons contacté l'hôtel, le personnel nous a confirmé que Willi
avait déjà quitté l'établissement. L'hôtel n'a pas pu nous dire s'il était
parti le samedi 10 ou le dimanche 11 octobre — mais ses documents de voyage
répondent désormais à cette question : il a QUITTÉ LYON LE SAMEDI 10 OCTOBRE
et s'est rendu à Grenoble le même après-midi.
CE QUE NOUS SAVONS DU 10 OCTOBRE 2026
Les e-mails de Willi montrent qu'il a acheté, le matin même du 10 octobre, un
billet de train de Lyon à Grenoble, pour un train arrivant en gare de Grenoble
à 14h39. Il s'agissait d'un billet ALLER SIMPLE. Aucune suite de voyage ni
aucun retour n'a jamais été réservé, et aucun hébergement n'a jamais été
réservé pour cette nuit-là ni pour aucune nuit suivante.
En reprenant l'activité de son compte Google (historique de recherche et de
Maps), ses e-mails et ses reçus de paiement, nous avons pu reconstituer une
grande partie de cette journée.
- Toutes les heures ci-dessous sont des heures locales françaises.
- Lorsque nous indiquons une localisation de l'appareil, elle provient de la
fonction « zone approximative » de Google et n'est précise qu'à plusieurs
kilomètres près.
- Lorsque nous écrivons CONFIRMÉ, un document existe derrière l'information :
un billet, un reçu ou un enregistrement de compte. Ces documents ont été
intégralement remis à la police ; nous ne les publions pas ici, car ils
contiennent des données personnelles et bancaires.
CHRONOLOGIE DU SAMEDI 10 OCTOBRE 2026
14h39 Arrivée de son train en gare de Grenoble. CONFIRMÉ par son billet.
14h46 Willi a recherché l'itinéraire vers le PIC SAINT-MICHEL, un sommet
de 1 966 m au-dessus du village de Lans-en-Vercors. La localisation
approximative de son appareil se situait dans le centre de
Grenoble.
14h55 Une première autorisation de paiement auprès du service de VTC Bolt
a été enregistrée.
14h58 Il a recherché l'itinéraire vers les GRANDES TRAVERSÉES DU VERCORS
(GTV), le sentier de grande randonnée qui traverse le massif — cette
demande portait sur un itinéraire À PIED. Son appareil était
toujours localisé dans le centre de Grenoble.
15h00 Une deuxième autorisation de paiement auprès de Bolt a été
enregistrée.
>>> Aucune de ces deux autorisations n'a donné lieu à une course.
Il n'existe aucun reçu de course pour l'une ou l'autre, et son
appareil se trouvait encore dans le centre de Grenoble quelques
minutes plus tard. Il s'agit selon toute vraisemblance de commandes
annulées. <<<
15h02–15h06 Plusieurs recherches de restaurants à Grenoble. La localisation
approximative de son appareil est restée dans le centre-ville.
15h41 Willi a recherché l'itinéraire — de nouveau À PIED — vers le
PARKING DES BARNETS, le parking de départ des sentiers à
Lans-en-Vercors. Son appareil était toujours localisé dans le centre
de Grenoble.
15h41–15h42 D'autres demandes d'itinéraires à pied : vers la Maison du Parc
des Grandes Traversées du Vercors à Lans-en-Vercors, puis depuis
cette Maison du Parc vers les coordonnées GPS 45.0940, 5.6187 — un
point situé à environ 450 m au nord du sommet du Pic Saint-Michel.
La localisation approximative était de nouveau le centre de
Grenoble.
15h50 Une troisième autorisation Bolt a été enregistrée. C'est celle de la
course qu'il a réellement effectuée.
15h57 Un VTC L'A PRIS EN CHARGE dans le centre de Grenoble.
CONFIRMÉ par le reçu de la course.
16h32 Le VTC L'A DÉPOSÉ À LANS-EN-VERCORS, avenue Léopold Fabre, après
31 km de montée dans le massif et 35 minutes de trajet.

16h33 Le paiement final de cette course a été enregistré. (C'est la
quatrième et dernière écriture Bolt de la journée — les
autorisations de 15h50 et 16h33 correspondent à UNE SEULE course,
et non à plusieurs, contrairement à ce que nous pensions
auparavant.)
16h46 Willi a consulté l'hébergement « Gîte Les Lauzes » à
Lans-en-Vercors. Aucune réservation n'a jamais été faite, ni là ni
ailleurs.
17h10–19h31 Son téléphone a continué d'utiliser intensivement l'application
de cartographie et de navigation, par salves, tout en perdant et en
retrouvant sans cesse le réseau mobile — le schéma d'un téléphone
transporté dans un terrain mal couvert. Aucune localisation n'a été
enregistrée pour ces activités.
18h15–18h20 Il a consulté quatre fois le Pic Saint-Michel — deux fois la
fiche du versant de Lans-en-Vercors à l'ouest, deux fois celle du
versant de Varces-Allières-et-Risset à l'est.
19h01 Coucher du soleil. Il faisait effectivement nuit vers 19h31.
19h28 Une nouvelle recherche d'hébergement a été effectuée. Il n'avait
toujours pas où dormir.
19h31 DERNIER CONTACT DE SON TÉLÉPHONE. Plus rien depuis.
Les 11 et 12 octobre : aucun signe de vie, d'aucune sorte. Toute activité du
compte postérieure à cette date est la nôtre, celle de la famille, à sa
recherche.
OÙ WILLI A-T-IL PU SE TROUVER EN DERNIER ?
Notre précédent appel indiquait que Willi se trouvait selon nous très
probablement à Grenoble, et que les paiements Bolt ne nous apprenaient rien sur
ses déplacements. CES DEUX AFFIRMATIONS SONT AUJOURD'HUI DÉPASSÉES.
Le reçu de la course confirme qu'il a été conduit sur 31 km depuis le centre de
Grenoble jusque dans le Vercors, et déposé à LANS-EN-VERCORS à 16h32, le samedi
10 octobre.
Tout ce qu'il a consulté dans les deux heures précédentes va dans le même sens :
le sommet du Pic Saint-Michel, le sentier de grande randonnée des Grandes
Traversées du Vercors, le parking de départ des Barnets — et, à plusieurs
reprises, des itinéraires À PIED vers ces lieux. Il avait également marqué sur
ses propres cartes le sommet du Pic Saint-Michel, ainsi qu'un second point dans
le Vercors sud, dans le secteur du MONT AIGUILLE, près de l'autre extrémité de
ce même sentier — point enregistré douze jours plus tôt.
Nous pensons donc qu'il est parti à pied de Lans-en-Vercors en direction du Pic
Saint-Michel et des Grandes Traversées du Vercors, en fin d'après-midi, sans
hébergement réservé.
Nous ignorons toujours s'il a réellement entrepris cette marche, jusqu'où il est
allé, et quelle direction il a prise après avoir été déposé. Son téléphone a
continué à être utilisé pour la cartographie et la navigation jusqu'à 19h31,
mais aucune localisation n'a été enregistrée pour ces activités.
LA MÉTÉO CE SOIR-LÀ ET CETTE NUIT-LÀ
Temps sec. Ni pluie, ni neige, ni tempête, aucune dégradation brutale du temps.
Bonne visibilité l'après-midi — 20 à 35 km — les conditions pour une marche
étaient donc praticables. L'isotherme 0 °C est restée entre 2 600 et 3 400 m,
bien au-dessus de tous les sommets de son itinéraire : il n'y avait de neige
nulle part sur son parcours.
À partir de 19h00 environ, du brouillard s'est formé en altitude, avec une
humidité proche de 100 %, et la visibilité y est tombée à quelques centaines de
mètres au cours de la nuit.
En altitude (environ 1 800–2 000 m) : 7 à 8 °C l'après-midi, 6 °C à 19h00,
puis +0,8 °C à 6h00 du matin — ressenti environ −2 °C dans l'humidité et le
vent.
Dans la vallée, à Lans-en-Vercors (environ 1 000 m) : 13 à 14 °C
l'après-midi, 11 °C à 19h00, minimum de +3,4 °C au lever du jour.
Autrement dit : le brouillard est arrivé en altitude à peu près au moment de son
dernier contact téléphonique, et la nuit qui a suivi a été froide mais sèche.
Pour une personne en bonne santé et capable de marcher, une telle nuit est
surmontable. Pour une personne blessée, immobilisée et sans abri, elle est
dangereuse.
(Ces valeurs météorologiques sont des données publiques de modèles pour ce lieu
et cette date. Les mesures officielles relèveraient de Météo-France.)

avez pris des PHOTOGRAPHIES. Conservez-les, y compris celles que vous
auriez normalement supprimées : un inconnu à l'arrière-plan d'une photo,
avec sa date et son heure, peut situer quelqu'un sur un sentier à la minute
près.
Même un souvenir vague ou incertain mérite d'être signalé. Ne gardez pas le
silence par crainte de vous tromper.

All information about Willi's whereabouts should firstly be sent to the local
police department of Grenoble, who are handling the case. The police have been
informed about his missing status. If you are in the mountains and your
information is urgent, call 112 — this also reaches the mountain rescue
service (PGHM).
IMPORTANT UPDATE (14 October 2026):
We have now been able to confirm that Willi did not stay in Grenoble. On the
afternoon of Saturday 10 October he took a ride-hailing car from central
Grenoble up into the Vercors mountains and WAS SET DOWN IN THE VILLAGE OF
LANS-EN-VERCORS AT 4:32 PM. This is the last place we can prove he was. We are
therefore now looking for witnesses in and around Lans-en-Vercors, not only in
Grenoble. The details are in the timeline below.
MISSING PERSON – Help Us Find Willi Matecki
Willi Matecki has been missing since 10 October 2026 while on his trip through
France. Since that day, he has not been in contact with his family or friends.
We have also been unable to reach him by phone or message.
Willi was travelling alone through France. According to our latest information,
he had booked a room at the "Aparthotel Adagio Lyon Patio Confluence" in Lyon
from 8 to 11 October 2026.
When we contacted the hotel, staff confirmed that Willi had already checked
out. We could not establish from the hotel whether he left on Saturday 10 or
Sunday 11 October — but his travel documents now answer that question: he LEFT
LYON ON SATURDAY 10 OCTOBER and travelled to Grenoble that same afternoon.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT 10 OCTOBER 2026
Willi's emails show that he bought a train ticket from Lyon to Grenoble on the
morning of 10 October, for a train arriving at Grenoble railway station at
2:39 PM. It was a ONE-WAY ticket. No onward journey and no return journey was
ever booked, and no accommodation was ever booked for that night or for any
night after it.
By going through his Google account activity (search and Maps history), his
emails and his payment receipts, we have been able to reconstruct a large part
of that day.
- All times below are French local time.
- Where we give a device location, it comes from Google's "approximate area"
feature and is only accurate to within several kilometres.
- Where we say something is CONFIRMED, there is a document behind it — a
ticket, a receipt or an account record. Those documents have been given to
the police in full; we are not publishing them here, because they contain
personal and payment data.
TIMELINE OF EVENTS — SATURDAY 10 OCTOBER 2026
2:39 PM Arrival of his train at Grenoble railway station. CONFIRMED by his
ticket.
2:46 PM Willi searched for directions to PIC SAINT-MICHEL, a 1,966 m summit
above the village of Lans-en-Vercors. His device's approximate
location was in central Grenoble.
2:55 PM A first payment authorisation to the ride-hailing service Bolt was
recorded.
2:58 PM He searched for directions to the GRANDES TRAVERSÉES DU VERCORS
(GTV), the long-distance path that crosses the Vercors massif —
this request was for a route ON FOOT. His device was still shown as
being in central Grenoble.
3:00 PM A second payment authorisation to Bolt was recorded.
>>> Neither of these two authorisations led to a journey. No ride
receipt exists for either of them, and his device was still in
central Grenoble several minutes later. They appear to be ride
requests that were cancelled. <<<
3:02–3:06 PM Several searches for restaurants in Grenoble. His device's
approximate location remained in the city centre.
3:41 PM Willi searched for directions — again ON FOOT — to PARKING DES
BARNETS, the trailhead car park at Lans-en-Vercors. His device's
approximate location was still shown as central Grenoble.
3:41–3:42 PM Further on-foot route requests: to the Grandes Traversées du
Vercors office in Lans-en-Vercors, and from that office to the GPS
coordinates 45.0940, 5.6187 — a point roughly 450 m north of the
summit of Pic Saint-Michel. The approximate device location was
again shown as Grenoble city centre.
3:50 PM A third Bolt authorisation was recorded. This one is the journey he
actually made.
3:57 PM A ride-hailing car COLLECTED HIM in central Grenoble.
CONFIRMED by the receipt for the journey.
4:32 PM The car SET HIM DOWN IN LANS-EN-VERCORS, on the Avenue Léopold
Fabre, after a 31 km drive up into the massif lasting 35 minutes.
CONFIRMED by the receipt for the journey.

4:33 PM The final payment for that journey was recorded. (This is the
fourth and last Bolt entry of the day — the authorisations at
3:50 PM and 4:33 PM belong to ONE single journey, not to several,
as we previously believed.)
4:46 PM Willi viewed the accommodation "Gîte Les Lauzes" in
Lans-en-Vercors. No booking was ever made, there or anywhere else.
5:10–7:31 PM His phone went on using the map and navigation app intensively,
in several bursts, while repeatedly losing and regaining mobile
reception — the pattern of a phone being carried through terrain
with poor coverage. No location was saved for any of this activity.
6:15–6:20 PM He viewed Pic Saint-Michel four times — twice for the
Lans-en-Vercors side of the mountain to the west, and twice for the
Varces-Allières-et-Risset side to the east.
7:01 PM Sunset. It was effectively dark by about 7:31 PM.
7:28 PM Another accommodation search was carried out. He still had nowhere
to sleep.
7:31 PM LAST CONTACT OF HIS PHONE. Nothing from it since.
11 and 12 October: no sign of life of any kind. Any account activity after
that point is ours, the family's, searching for him.
WHERE MIGHT WILLI HAVE BEEN LAST?
Our earlier appeal said that we believed Willi was most likely in Grenoble, and
that the Bolt payments told us nothing about where he had travelled. BOTH OF
THOSE STATEMENTS ARE NOW OUT OF DATE.
A receipt for the journey confirms that he was driven 31 km from central
Grenoble into the Vercors and set down in LANS-EN-VERCORS at 4:32 PM on
Saturday 10 October.
Everything he looked up in the two hours before that points the same way: the
summit of Pic Saint-Michel, the Grandes Traversées du Vercors long-distance
path, the Barnets trailhead car park — and, repeatedly, routes ON FOOT to those
places. He had also marked the summit of Pic Saint-Michel on his own maps,
along with a second point in the southern Vercors near MONT AIGUILLE, close to
the far end of that same path, which he had saved twelve days earlier.
We therefore believe he set out on foot from Lans-en-Vercors towards Pic
Saint-Michel and the Grande Traversée du Vercors, late in the afternoon, with
no accommodation booked.
We still do NOT know whether he actually started that walk, how far he got, or
which direction he took after being set down. His phone was still being used
for maps and navigation until 7:31 PM, but no location was recorded for any of
that activity.
THE WEATHER THAT EVENING AND NIGHT
Dry. No rain, no snow, no storm, and no sudden change in the weather. Good
visibility through the afternoon — 20 to 35 km — so the conditions for a walk
were usable. The freezing level stayed between 2,600 and 3,400 m, far above
every summit on his route, so there was no snow anywhere he was going.
From about 7:00 PM, fog formed at summit level, with humidity close to 100 per
cent, and overnight the visibility up there fell to a few hundred metres.
At summit level (about 1,800–2,000 m): 7–8 °C in the afternoon, 6 °C at
7:00 PM, falling to +0.8 °C by 6:00 AM — feeling like about −2 °C in the damp
and wind.
In the valley at Lans-en-Vercors (about 1,000 m): 13–14 °C in the afternoon,
11 °C at 7:00 PM, lowest point +3.4 °C at dawn.
So: fog came in at height at roughly the same time as his last phone contact,
and the night that followed was cold but dry. For someone healthy and still
able to walk, such a night is survivable. For someone injured and unable to
move, without shelter, it is dangerous.
(These weather figures are public model data for that place and date. Official
measurements would come from Météo-France.)
WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP
We would be extremely grateful for any information that could help us find
Willi or establish his whereabouts. We are now especially interested in
LANS-EN-VERCORS AND THE SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS, on the evening of Saturday
10 October and on Sunday 11 October.
Please come forward if you:
- saw a young man walking alone in or around LANS-EN-VERCORS or
VILLARD-DE-LANS, or on the roads and paths towards PIC SAINT-MICHEL, the
PARKING DES BARNETS, the COL DE L'ARC or the GRANDES TRAVERSÉES DU
VERCORS, on the EVENING OF SATURDAY 10 OCTOBER or on SUNDAY 11 OCTOBER
2026;
- gave him a lift, served him in a bar, restaurant or shop, or let him a
room, a bed or a place to camp that weekend — in Lans-en-Vercors,
Villard-de-Lans, Grenoble or anywhere in the Vercors;
- were walking, climbing, running or riding in that area that weekend and
took PHOTOGRAPHS. Please keep them, including the ones you would normally
delete: a stranger in the background of a photo, with its date and time,
can place someone on a path to the minute.
Even a vague or uncertain sighting is worth reporting. Please do not stay
silent because you are not sure.

3:41–3:42 PM: Further searches for directions to the Grandes Traversées du Vercors and the GPS coordinates 45.0940, 5.6187. The approximate device location was again shown as Grenoble city centre.
3:49 PM: A second Bolt payment was recorded.
4:33 PM: A third Bolt payment was recorded.
4:46 PM: Willi viewed the accommodation “Gîte Les Lauzes” in Lans-en-Vercors. No location information was saved for this activity.
6:15–6:20 PM: He viewed Pic Saint-Michel a total of four times. No location information was available for these activities.
7:28 PM: Another hotel search was carried out. No device location was recorded.
Where Might Willi Have Been Last?
Based on his train booking and documented search history, we believe that Willi was most likely in Grenoble on 10 October.
Of particular interest are his repeated searches for Pic Saint-Michel, the Grandes Traversées du Vercors, and Parking des Barnets. These locations are situated in or near the Vercors mountain region, close to Grenoble.
We therefore suspect that Willi may have been planning a trip in this area.
However, we do not know whether he actually travelled into the Vercors mountains or went hiking.
The three Bolt payments also do not currently provide any confirmed information about where he may have travelled.
The last approximate device location available from the records was in central Grenoble at 3:42 PM. No location information was saved for his later activities.
We Urgently Need Your Help!
We would be extremely grateful for any information that could help us find Willi or establish his whereabouts.
We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen Willi on or after 10 October 2026 in Lyon, Grenoble, Lans-en-Vercors, or the Vercors mountain region.
Any information about possible journeys, accommodation, taxi rides, or hiking activities could also be extremely helpful.
