Classic Question about Berkas farming (I dont know how to find the Monthly Question Thread)

I’ve started playing again and am leveling all my characters to 85. However, there are specific ones I want to focus on later. Every guide I see talks about farming Berkas with multiple characters and transferring the chests to the one you want to prioritize at the moment, but the chests I farm stay locked to the character that earned them, and I don't know how to transfer them or open them with another character (e.g., farming with Iris and opening with Lin). Am I doing something wrong?

You can dismantle the berkas equipment to get shard to craft the equipment for other characters. For me i just slowly get true dragon berkas equipment like once or twice piece a day and just use gp reset scroll as they give to you tons of it from event.
