Tried it back in 2022 but didn't really get hooked, now though wanting to clear up my backlog a bit I did, to the point where I decided to 100% it. Really ended up enjoying the story and it's just a beautiful game, gonna have to check out Ragnarök at an opportune time now!

Note: Assuming there is intention of bringing him back, which wouldnt be that wild to think since Deimos was featured in GOW Sons of Sparta.
Then we can have gameplay and story about what Deimos went through when he got captured by Ares because obviously he was forced to fight as he wore Armour and a Fist weapon.
And the game could end with present time of him looking for Kratos or crossing paths with Faye, that could be hype.
Not to mention his design is cool as hell.

It was this moment that alerted Olympus to the slaughter that was about to unfold.
Retrospectively, this greatly complements Kratos’s motivation revenge for Zeus’s betrayal at Rhodes and the destruction of Sparta as well as his desire for vengeance for the harm done to his closest family members: his mother and brother.
Ghost of Sparta neatly transforms Kratos from the fallen, tormented warrior seen at the end of God of War 1 into the ruthless god of War from God of War 2 begining, who ignores warnings and launches a war campaign in Greece.

Edit: people doing it the legit way is actually great and I love people showing love of the game. I personally just found the necklace part annoying

I should've done this 4 years ago, but I got lazy cause of Odin's Ravens and other collectibles. Replaying this game is still really good. Even though it's 8 years old, the game, story, side quests, and boss fights still give me goosebumps.
Agile Strike should've returned in GoWR, though.

Oh yeah, just have Boy shoot the revenant and then you can damage them. Easy! Just have him shoot the bow, and then you got 5 seconds to kick their butts, OH you didn't kill them? Well now they are OVER THERE! And you got to shoot them again. Oh don't get too close they respawn with a posion explosion. No you can't block it! Chase the Carrot on the Stick, Go Get Them God of Fools, Hope, and Winning in the Game but Losing in the Cutscenes!
Welcome to Niflheim, HERE'S 5 OF THEM. IN EACH ROOM.... Have a Dark Elf too, WELCOME TO ENDGAME GMGOW! Oh and because this is GMGOW, your combo didn't finish and now the Revenant is over there getting angry. No, Boy's Bow doesn't stun him, WHY WOULD IT?? CHAIN LIGHTNING? NOPE. Goodbye to all those Mist Echoes! Sorry you were this close to getting an Aesirbane, or the Pommel, or Fog Anchor.
I should just walk to Jotanheim and finish it, but I am so close to finishing all the trophies. Screw Revenants, and their Valkaerie level stun resistance. I'm level 8, and slain like 2 or 3 Aesir Gods already and made Trolls and extinct species, and my biggest weakness is a zombie with Lung Cancer. Also, why doesn't MY magic work, but Boy's arrows are just fine? Vanir Magic is stupid.

Looked polynesian to me. After some research, this is likely Kaulu. If you look at the letters at the bottom, the name checks out: 5 letters, with the 3rd and 5th being the same, Kaulu.
He is a young hawaiian trickster demigod who controls the weather and nature. The story goes that he travelled to the land of the gods in search of his brother, Kaeha, who had been taken. He kills a couple gods in the process, so it's safe to say in the GoW universe he'll be allying with Faye to rescue his brother and return home.
This kinda mirrors Kratos' journey as well, with Deimos and all. My guess is Faye may see a bit of her husband (and son) in this boy and serve as a guiding figure to direct him away from a path of hate and revenge - but hopefully we don't go there for the millionth time.

Shoutout to Tom Moro on twitter, he was the one who deciphered that symbol, showing it means water in ancient Sumerian language. Water is also closely related to the moon god Nanna from Sumerian mythology. The same guy also said he looked similar to the god Nanna because of the horns, his kinda crescent moon shaped staff and his skirt. I had to look up some pictures of that God and they honestly look convincing. I also, myself did some research on that sun symbol on the card. In Sumerian mythology, Nanna is the father of the sun god Utu, maybe that guy has a potential role in why his father is locked up. He does look like a kid himself tho so take this with a grain of salt. Do what u will with that information. It's honestly really exciting how they drop hints in everything they reveal so the fans can come together to kinda figure out shit. The game also looks to lean more towards mythology than ragnarok, kinda similar to 2018, or even more.

A Telegram channel shared photos of weapons allegedly seized from a man executed for terrorism.
Apparently, the Leviathan Axe was part of the evidence.

i think the best think and least risky thing Santa Monica can do is make the 1st and 2nd game look like the 3rd one with just a tiny bit more details i think the 3rd one is stunning and with great graphic just like batman Arkham knight graphic although its old but its still holds up to this day and even in the future so i think we better off with a remake looking like the gow3 than making a something completely new that could just be ass.
gow 3 doesn't really need a remake its like a tlos situation i base game was really good just need a little tweaks for performance and higher texture res
and also i think SM should use kratos model in the gow3 rather than Valhalla just make gow1 and 2 look like gow 3 that's it and add the psp games and more content like gow betrayal

Even though we haven't gotten much, the concept art for this game has been exceptionally good. We still haven't even gotten a look at the actual world yet. Also refer to the pictures 7, 8 and 9. The 9th picture is the card that the audience in the laufey comic con panel got. Seems to have a connection with the cards in the collector's box. That will probably be the 51st card in the deck. I wonder if these are ranked based on how important the characters and creatures are in the story, with sekhmet being at 7, bloodwalker being at 42 and the last few cards being items and stuff. Could be a regular chest, could be a much more important chest.

So, right after Zeus's fight alongside round 2 inside Gaia's heart
Kratos kills them both via stabbing Zeus with Blade of Olympus
After we see Zeus's corpse, Kratos removes the blade and does a little walking before Zeus fights again in his fear form
But let's say at that point, Zeus was gone for real
Where was Kratos going?

2018 really does do a masterful job of introducing and showcasing Thor and Odin as looming, narrative-haunting threats without them making a single physical appearance with the exception of the little secret ending scene. I remember when Ragnarok was about to come out and the build-up behind these two was absolutely massive and one they lived up to very well imo. I hope we get more antagonists with this much build-up and hype behind them at some point.

Which part of the game does this scene appear in? I finished the game but never saw it, or is this scene from a trailer? I'm curious.
