Are all the SACD releases equal?
I’m very new to the format and was wondering if some SACD Genesis mixes are better than others?

What solo songs or tracks from each member do you think feels and sounds like the most Genesis-esque?
From Steve Hackett, Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins, and maybe even Ray Wilson as well.

The Watch plays Genesis - Supper's Ready (Live From The White Studio)
Holy shiznid, if this isn’t the best, most insanely accurate cover of Suppers Ready I’ve ever seen, even down to the similarity to Peter Gabriel’s vox.
Enjoy. you’re in for a real treat!

Going to see Steve in 2027! How are the new band members?
Roger King has been fantastic with Steve, I’m especially interested in how the new touring keyboard player is. Anyone seen this newest line up? How is it?

Longform (2026) interview with Phil
Big new interview with Phil (and very flattering photo) in this week's Observer, done by Craig McLean, who was the ghostwriter/collaborator on his 'Not Dead Yet' biography. However it's behind a paywall and I have more than enough subscriptions already. Does anyone who wants to hand over the cash/has an Observer subscription already fancy sharing the text on here?

Have you been in contact with Lamia? Do you look like that? Please be careful.

Hackett Tour 2027
Looking to get tickets to see Steve Hackett in April. Availability seems to be limited to pre-sales right now... has Hackett provided a password to buy these?
Thanks!

Invisible Touch - Track Re-structure
This is an attempt at re-structuring IT, into a "concept" album with two sides, A being upbeat and more playful and Side B being dark, longer and serious.

Invisible Touch
Anything She Does
Throwing it All Away
Land of Confusion
Tonight, Tonight, Tonight
Feeding the Fire
Domino (Pt. 1 & 2)

One of the many 'revelations' in the liner notes of the new box set is that the very first cover of a Genesis song was released way back in 1968: an Italian-language version of 'A Winter's Tale' by singer Carlo Pavone.

Thrilled to finally have official 5.1 mixes of EVERY studio album. A surround mix of FGTR was something I'd never thought possible, but it's finally here!

Fireside Song intro
There's always been this TERRIFIC short piano piece at the beginning of "Fireside Song" on every digital version I've heard. But now I've listened to the 2026 mix, and the piece has been moved to the end of "In the Beginning" (no pun intended). Does anyone know which track this piece actually belongs to and why it was moved in the new mix?

**Calling All Guitarists!**
Hello! GenesisPianoTranscriber from YouTube here, or Eric for short. I am in the process of starting a Genesis tribute band in the Philadelphia suburbs and am in need of a guitarist, as our guitarist had to take a step back from the group.
The band currently consists of Keyboards, Percussion, and rhythm and bass guitar. We meet bi-weekly in the Ambler/Fort Washington area for rehearsals and plan on performing in 2027.
We are looking for a guitarist who can commit, have passion for the music, and is eager to hit the ground running. And while the technicality of playing Hacketts parts is important, the tone and effects he used is equally important.
If you are interested (and local to the general King Of Prussia/Blue Bell/Ambler/Conshohocken area), please DM me so we can discuss further. We would like to have try outs as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading!

A section in the Instrumental part of Living Forever sounds very similar to a part of Driving the Last Spike. Did they both come from the same jam?
Just curious really, the part in Living Forever where Tony has a synth rise, and Mike's guitar comes in (sorry It's hard to describe), sounds very similar to the instrumental before "we worked, how we worked like the devil for our pay" section in Driving the Last Spike. Is it possible they both originated from the same jam when they were developing the tracks?
