They're treating him like any new intriguing mysterious stranger character. It's like they expect us to have instantaneous amnesia.

WELCOME NIGHT CREW!

Characters who used to be very likable are being sacrificed at the altar of GH’s patron saint of Teflon, Willow Tait and it’s driving me up the wall.

(No, these characters aren’t irredeemably ruined. But it’s certainly making them hella unlikable for the time being.)

Here are the characters who have done total 180s to prop up Willow:

Chase

This one is the most obvious and egregious. Chase was once an upstanding gentleman who wanted nothing more than to do right by the people he loved. He was a great son to Gregory, a caring brother to Finn, a loving uncle to Violet and a loving husband to Brook Lynn. And despite the show’s recent attempts to retcon history, Chase had moved on from Willow with no lingering feelings for years after their relationship ended.

The only reason Chase and Willow ever got married was because Willow thought he was dying and felt like she had to marry him out of obligation, even though she had fallen out of love with him and was in love and cheating with Michael at the time. But now Chase is Willow‘s #1 cheerleader who cartoonishly and blindly supports every single thing that Willow does, even though they have both been over one another for years.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth has been suspicious about Willow for several months. So suspicious in fact that she had the health department go to Willow‘s house to inspect it for mold because she could not make sense of the fact that both Drew and Jack ended up locked in after being at Willow‘s house. She also was baffled as to why Willow kept rejecting her offers to get Drew communication devices. But now she is defending Willow saying that Willow could lose her kids because of the allegations in Lulu‘s article when she has been suspicious of Willow the whole time.

Lucas

Lucas has never seen it for Willow. In fact Lucas and Willow’s last interaction with each other was in May 2025 when Willow was still working as a nurse at GH and Willow slapped Lucas after Lucas chewed her out for her obsession with Drew. Yet now even Lucas is defending Willow and throwing his own cousin Lulu under the bus in the process. Make it make sense.

Sidwell

Sidwell is in prison for attempted murder. What more does he have to lose by confessing that he gave Willow the paralytic? He already confessed (offscreen) to poisoning Maxie so why isn’t he confessing to giving Willow the drugs to paralyze Drew? That’s right we know why. Because TPTB will ruin every character to before they hold
Willow accountable.

ADA Turner

Justine has been gunning for Willow ever since she was on trial for shooting Drew. She always believed that Willow was guilty and was pissed that she got away with it. Now Justine has the perfect opportunity to prosecute her for another crime and she just… doesn’t seem to care to? Justine should be chomping at the bit to prosecute Willow and she’s just indifferent. It’s a complete 180 and yet another slap in the face to the viewers.

Britt

Britt was experiencing character development after learning she did not have Huntington’s. She had a great conciliatory conversation with Anna after she tried to kill her that showed us Britt was moving in the direction of forgiveness and honesty.
And now the writers are undoing her progress to have her lie to protect Willow, her cousin who she only started hanging out with a week or two ago and previously had no real relationship with. Given everything Britt has been through recently, she should have learned something about withholding the truth to protect criminals but here she is regressing to prop up Willow.

Nina

Her only storyline for the past couple of years has been being Willow’s enabler. All she ever does is desperately grovel at Willow‘s feet to have a relationship with her and I wish they would do more with her character.

Brook Lynn

Brook Lynn used to be a confident self-assured heiress who lived up to her Quartermaine name. Now she is a groveling mopey pick me for Chase. Brook Lynn makes the slightest mistake and Chase can’t trust her but he never questions Willow’s sketchy behavior and yet Brook Lynn still wants to make her marriage work. I’m tired of BLQ’s furrowed brow, mopey “why does Chase always side with Willow?” face. Brook Lynn has been made to look weak in service of propping up Willow.

Dante

Dante has been annoying since he went on his “I hate Gio” tour after Rocco’s alcohol poisoning incident and even more so with him not believing Sonny about the Pentonville beating. But somehow they managed to make him even more annoying with him asking Lulu to retract her story about Willow paralyzing Drew. Dante, the detective and acting police commissioner can’t detect the mountain of evidence that clearly shows that Willow was responsible for drugging Drew? Instead, he’s only focused on the methods that Lulu used to obtain the information and not the actual information in Lulu’s story.

Michael

Michael still insists that Willow is a good mother who would never hurt their kids. Despite the fact that just a few months ago, she was willing to frame Michael for attempting to murder Drew. Willow was also willing to make Michael look like a drug addict to steal the kids from him. She also continued to defend Drew after he manipulated Wiley to try to turn him against Michael. None of these are actions of a “good mother who would never hurt her kids.” But yet they’ve made Michael totally feckless when it comes to Willow. Why can’t a supposed billionaire CEO who is a Quartermaine, Corinthos AND a Spencer defeat a lowly jr. congresswoman? All he’s done is move her into the gatehouse which has done nothing to knock her off her high horse. And Michael has been pushed to the sidelines as a character for several months.

Honorable mention: Daisy
Ok so this one is not so serious but it also is because Sasha left town with Daisy because Willow was messing with her (a crime that Willow will probably never answer for) and Michael and Sasha were worried about Daisy’s safety. Now Michael looks like a deadbeat dad because why are Daisy and Sasha still out of town after all this time? (I know it’s because Sofia Mattison left the show and she’s joining DOOL so she won’t be back but the character has to be recast because Michael should be an active father to his daughter). Willow being the reason that Michael doesn’t get to raise his daughter just doesn’t sit right with me.

And that concludes my list.

The writers are twisting themselves in knots and jumping through Texas-sized hoops to protect Willow and it’s just not good TV. When you have to ruin every character’s reputation to prop up one character who keeps doing bad things, you’re making the a large chunk of the cast unlikable.

We get it. TPTB want Willow to be a central character on the show but ruining other characters to allow her to get away with everything is making the show insufferable. When a large chunk of the cast is unlikable, there is no one to root for and therefore people wanna tune out.

Let me know if I missed any characters they’ve ruined to prop up Willow.

So is JJE now just a front for the WSB and if so what was used to make Jax turn in over to them?

Adoptees and orphans can find out their biological parentage with just a cheek swab, even if the bio parents are deceased. Cold cases 50 years old are being solved through identifying 5th and 6th cousins. Yet in this universe, let’s pretend it’s 1990. Same with security cameras. They’re all broken or if they tape, can’t be uploaded to a secure database.

The writers are ignoring the bio mom’s entire side of the family by not doing this. Why?

As for mystery Dad, he must be related to somebody previously arrested in Port Charles. Just a hunch, but the obvious suspect is Jerry Jax.

Does anyone else miss the good, old-fashioned kidnapping and hostage storylines GH used to do?
And before anyone mentions it, yes, I know we recently had Josslyn being held captive underneath Wyndemere. I’m not forgetting about that storyline. I just personally didn’t find it particularly suspenseful or memorable.
I’m talking about the kind of kidnapping storyline where someone is genuinely at the mercy of a dangerous villain. They’re being held captive for several episodes, trying to escape, struggling against their captor, and their loved ones are desperately trying to find them. The kind of story that actually makes you anxious to see what happens next.

Robins kidnapping by Jerry and Faison, when Heather kidnapped Carly, when Franco kidnapped Sam and Lulu, those were all pretty great examples.

But touch on why I feel some of the younger characters should be explored with this is because you have young adult children to a bunch of people who have endless amounts of enemies. I thought someone would make a play at GIO since he was staying with Sonny. which is strange considering how much potential there is for drama.

What happened to the hostage situations like the one at the metro court. It’s fun to watch half the cast plot their escape from the room, it’s thrilling, it keeps you on the edge of your seat

Take Danny and Charlotte snooping around Wyndemere and getting caught by Cullum, for example. I genuinely thought that was setting up a kidnapping storyline. Two teenagers stumble into something dangerous, get caught by someone who has every reason to silence them, and suddenly they’re in way over their heads. That could’ve easily turned into a suspenseful, multi-episode hostage situation. Instead, the whole thing was resolved almost immediately.
I miss when kidnappings actually felt like kidnappings. Characters being locked away, physically restrained, attempting to escape, getting caught again, trying to outsmart their captors, and eventually having those dramatic rescue scenes. There’s so much storytelling potential there, especially when the younger generation gets mixed up in situations they aren’t equipped to handle.
I’m not suggesting GH needs to have someone kidnapped every other week, or that every captivity storyline needs to last for months. I just wish that when the writers do go there, they’d really commit to the suspense and danger instead of resolving everything so conveniently.
So when was the last kidnapping or hostage storyline on GH that you genuinely thought was GOOD? And does anyone else feel like the writers have become a little too cautious with these kinds of stories, particularly when teenagers are involved?

I wonder about the interaction between Hudson and Rick at the auction, and then making a point of Hudson mentioning it in later scenes with Joss.

Long lost unknown son for Rick? Brother for Molly, nephew for Sonny? There would be possibilities there. A business rival for his cousin Michael?

If he's Phoebe's father, even more possibilities. They had him seem like a possible pairing up with Brooklyn for awhile.

Just wondering. 🤷‍♂️

I am 53 years old and I have been watching sing i was a little girl. Sonny is a fan favorite including mine. This whole Jocelyn hating him and bringing him down concerns me.

Sonny has children. He has always loved Jocelyn. The story line is making me not luke Jocelyn. Which I used to like. She's been a sort of villain for awhile now. Very conceited and overbearing.

While Sonny has been in the mob she's being a hypocrite by coming after him and being in the web, which is kind of criminal itself and very secret.

A better story ​line would have been if because he left the mob that he can have a bit of happiness with all of his family and friends and specifically grand children. I was loving his interactions with both his grandsons and sons till they went against him. I was also enjoying the relationship between Danny and Charlotte. So many characters are becoming unbearable. But I still watch cause of my favorites. Trina character has become unbearable also. I use to like all the ones im mentioning and I dont know what's going on.

A better story would be Jocelyn. Making up with Sonny for her mom and Donna and Michael and Dantes sake. I would respect that. Give Sonny a break. Hes been in a very hard role for a l9ng time. Allow him to have a forever love and be grandpa and dad and husband. Let him win. Anyway my opinion. I still love my favorite characters. God bkess everyone. This is the first time in all the years I'm watching that I make an opinion. Hopefully I'm not hated for it. With that said koodos to all the villains doing there jobs to make us dislike them. Especially willow and Drew. Give them kids to Michael. She's too much. Drew is so bad. I remember when liked him. Improved story lines, Tracy, I love Brooklyn not Chase, Live Ned and and Lucas, Emma, CARLY, Sonny, Jason, Fibi, Sonny, Rick, Laura, Felicia, aunti, Miss Robert and both his daughters. Any lawyers in the room here? I’m under the impression that in a libel lawsuit, it’s on the person claiming libel to PROVE that the statements are false. So a different burden of proof than a criminal case. AND that Willow just opened herself up to discovery, which someone who is totally guilty of doing the thing might now want to go through. I’m not a lawyer but I’ve watched a lot of legal TV 😂 can anyone confirm or set me straight?

Of course, I expect the GH writers to gloss over all of that…

He will use the fact that she hacked the servers against her. But Brick could also come in to find out what happened.

GH’s hackneyed “no one believes person who is telling the truth” plot device has struck again. This time Lulu is the scapegoat.

Let’s briefly revisit all of the characters who this year alone have been ganged up on and not believed when they were telling the truth/falsely accused of something they didn’t do.

1. First it was Michael being accused of shooting Drew when he did not. Everyone uncritically believed it was him.
2. Then it was Isaiah being accused of being the “other driver” when he was not. Yet everyone uncritically believed it was him and entertained Curtis’ unfounded accusations.
3. Then it was Brook Lynn being ganged up on for being the “other driver.” Sure, she actually was (as far as we currently know) but the accident was Jordan’s fault yet everyone ganged up on BLQ for an accident she didn’t cause.
4. Next it was Sonny being accused of ordering the beating of Sidwell (and indirectly Curtis) in Pentonville. Most of the town is uncritically accepting it as fact and not at all wondering why a mob boss who’s gotten away with everything would have his henchmen sloppily incriminate him.
5. Now it is Lulu being accused of writing an untruthful exposé about Willow drugging Drew when we all know the story was true.

Nevermind the fact that Elizabeth has been suspicious about the circumstances surrounding Drew’s locked in syndrome for months now. So much so that she had the Health Department check Willow’s house for mold. And she also was thrown by Willow’s constant insistence on not getting Drew communication devices when he was locked in. Somehow, Elizabeth has been dumbed down so much that she just can’t believe Willow is behind Drew’s paralysis. And Dante, the detective cannot put the pieces together to see what that Willow was so obviously behind Drew’s paralysis.

Oh, and Willow and Drew got a divorce the minute Drew was no longer paralyzed and everyone (including Elizabeth) expressed how odd that was but yet Lulu‘s article is so hard to believe?

What was the point of having Elizabeth be so suspicious about the circumstances surrounding Drew and Jack’s paralysis if she was going to not believe that Willow was behind it? Nvm I know the answer, it’s because the writers make everything up as they go and then change their mind and make every single character stupid for the sake of the plot.

I am so tired of this trite and uninspired writing. Why has this show descended into nothing more than rage bait at this point? Because I can only assume that it’s rage bait when you constantly insist on having characters be accused of lying when the audience knows they didn’t do it. What does it serve to do other than enrage your audience? Why do they insist on antagonizing us with the same repetitive nonsense month after month? It’s beyond old at this point.

Who is the next scapegoat of the forever recycled “no one believes person who is telling the truth” plot device? Outback will probably be accused of being Jack’s murderer, Trina’s stalker and Drew’s paralyzer and everyone will uncritically believe that even as he barks “I didn’t do it.” Because the writers can’t seem to come up with anything else, I guess this is all we can expect to see anymore. 🙄

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Agent Baines tell Joss that if she tries to go after Sonny then she should resign from the WSB?

You can’t argue that he technically kept PC safe. Yes, he’s a mob boss and murdered people and people were always after him, but imagine what PC would be like if the Five Families was running the town. Imagine how dangerous PC if it was the Jeromes or the Zacchara was running or if Cyrus kept bringing his drugs in. We don’t know what Sonny was importing, but he made sure that people were safe.

Also, despite everyone’s turn on him, Sonny has always protected his friends and family. I mean, Sonny’s still willing to protect Joss to an extent due to help raising her, and she’s been a whiny baby forgetting all the protective and perks of being his stepdaughter. Sonny also has always had Gio’s back and gave him a place to figure his out life when learning the truth and Dante hating on him. And Sonny even made sure Trina didn’t go down for revenge porn when he had Dex handle the jury. And he would’ve made sure Rocco didn’t go down for shooting Cullum if he was aware. In fact, he would have given Dante a first-class ticket to his personal island to keep Rocco safe.

Yes, Sonny is a career life criminal, but it’s crazy that everyone is simply forgetting the things he did for his family and friends. I mean, seriously… it’s Sidwell. The guy who nearly killed Lucky in Africa, who nearly tried to kill Sasha, who poisoned Maxie, who held the ADA at gunpoint, and working on Faison’s last project with a corrupt WSB director. They draw the line at that.

I mean, Dante is an idiot. Sonny shot him. And Michael forgave him for killing AJ. Like those are legit reasons to hate the man. And Joss must not remember things correctly, but Morgan is not Sonny’s fault. Ava Jerome changed Morgan’s meds, and Olivia Jerome put the bomb in Julian’s car. It was the Jerome’s that killed Morgan, not Sonny. The only fault that Sonny had for Morgan’s death was being his father and passing on his bipolar illness (which isn’t his fault).

So like or dislike Sonny, he kept the city safe from an all-out mob war.

*also Val and Carly’s conversation was good yesterday. I like that they mention that Joss has no idea what she walked herself into because she just put a target on her. She neither has the experience nor the ability to manage rising mob families.

Phew. I was getting tired of watching Trina realize she had a new dad.
I started writing it down. It’s been 8 months since the last batch was released.

Personally, I very much want Emma to get to live out her dreams as a Veterinarian who makes housecalls to all the Port Charles pets, but I know she has the acting skills to play BIG stories too. And lots of GH fans have voiced that they want Emma to have an adventure.

So, what if Evil Twin Alex popped back up and snatched Emma away to play Spy versus Spy with Joss. Emma having to do whatever it is DVX wants up against Joss playing for Team WSB. All of their animosity finally being used as an actual plot device.

I think that’s the high stakes, adventure type of story we expect from International Super Spy agencies. There would have to be some very high stakes of course. Alex would have no problem threatening Anna or kidnapping Gio to get Emma to go along with her orders. And I think underneath it all Emma would actually very much ENJOY sticking it to Joss AND the WSB (because she hates what the WSB put Anna through). Perhaps she’d even decide that the DVX aren’t so bad after all…(cue dramatic organ music)
