Hi everyone! I’m currently in MSE at Georgia Tech, and a review paper I coauthored was recently accepted by an Elsevier journal.
The paper was not supported by a research grant or faculty-led project, and the open-access publication charge is $1,960. I have contacted the MSE finance office to ask whether any assistance is available.
Has anyone received support from a GT department, the College of Engineering, the Library, or another campus office for an article-processing charge? I would appreciate any funding-program names, contacts, or experience requesting a publisher waiver.
