Games I just updated my turn-based bullet hell roguelike GBA game demo to include some more levels
I really thought a turn-based bullet hell game would end up like a mix between Superhot and Into the Breach, and it turned out I was pretty close. If any of you have the time, I just released the completed GBA version of a game idea that's been floating in my head for quite a while.
I have a demo up on itch, and a paid version if you vibe with it. It has been getting a decent amount of interaction, so I updated the demo to include more levels and a full "run" as thanks! No generative AI was used with this project at any point, just good ole blood and tears. Had some help from some IRL friends with the artwork I commissioned, their info is linked as well. I would love any feedback or criticisms if you feel compelled to share. Happy fall!

That looks so dope! I see that you said it's incompatible with your actual GBA, but I'm going to see if I can get it to run on my 3DS through twilight menu. I'll report back my findings.

Oh, no I have actually tested this on hardware and it works great! My Boy! is the name of an emulator for Android devices that is known to not work with many larger homebrew games. Throw it on a flash cart and run it on real hardware, it should work great! Let me know if it doesn't and I'm happy to troubleshoot, I want this compatible with as many devices as possible!

Oh, my bad lol. I did think it was a little strange that you were just calling it your boy.
Anyway, as far as I can tell it runs flawlessly on 3DS. I injected it with NSUI, so it’s running natively rather than through emulation. Only took a couple minutes to get it running and I didn’t have any issues at all. Idk if you’re familiar with the 3DS homebrew scene, but I bet you could get some of their eyes on the project too if you made an inject and posted it around like r/3DSpiracy r/3DSqrcodes. It’s not too hard anyway, if you feel like it.
Awesome work btw. I haven’t spent enough time to fully grasp the gameplay yet but it looks and sounds great, and it feels very fleshed out compared to a lot of homebrew GBA projects I’ve seen. I’m gonna mess around with the demo a bit more, but then I’ll probably grab the paid version.
