A little ridiculous that there is already a warning for The Darkside Detective that keys are running low.

I will speak very highly of Fear the Spotlight, one of my new spooky season favorites.
I didn't go into it expecting much and came out extremely, pleasantly surprised. I think the looks kind of deceived me at first. Where I'd expect a little indie game to have a certain level of funk to it, nothing felt janky or off. In fact, it was downright charming at times and genuinely creeped me out (looking at you little imps with your glowing eyes).

How is it for jumpscares? I love horror and can handle a lot of it (atmosphere, themes, darker stuff), but I'm terribly easy to scare
Like, I can handle stuff like RE2 and Crow Country pretty easily, but I'm not sure with this one

I honestly think there was maybe... one? But nothing like what other games do. Most of it was the creepy environment, or a baddie chasing you that provided the anxiety of a horror. The scares never felt cheap, ala a jump scare just to get you startled, but rather a good use of music/graphics/design to give you the heebies.
This, coming from someone who struggled with RE2 because Mr. X chasing me is the worst thing ever. So, to each their own!

I can highly recommend Paradise Killer, it's got a fantastic soundtrack and a really cool story. I had great fun finding all the collectibles and piecing together what actually happened across the at times somewhat escher-esque world.

Paradise Killer dev here, thank you for posting this, was a pleasant surprise to see when I opened this thread. Glad you liked it. 💗

Hey no worries. I still haven't gotten around to picking up your next game but it's high on my list and I hope it is doing well enough that we get more from you guys! I hope you can collab with Epoch for another soundtrack in the future too.

I’d like to say the same. Honestly, I found the game such a pleasant and relaxed experience. Been looking for something similar since. Do you have anything else in the works?

Thank you!
We released Promise Mascot Agency last year (similar gameplay to Paradise Killer in a different vibe). https://store.steampowered.com/app/2585830/Promise_Mascot_Agency/
We're also working on our third game right now. Thank you for asking!

also for anyone who loved the soundtrack and wanna get the OST, there is also a second album of B-side stuff called About That... that's really good, just a giant pile of good-ass citypop in the 2020s for some reason

I can vouch for most of the Tier 1 as somewhat bangers.
Paradise Killer oozes style, with an awesome vaporwave soundtrack and creepy yet cool eldritch horror story in bright popping color. The plot is actually pretty great as you uncover the truth, with some unexpected twists and kinda dark turns. Only caveat is the actual deduction isn't too involved. The game can be pretty handholdy with objectives, and most of the game is traveling between places talking to characters to empty their dialog tree before heading to the next one and repeating. The puzzles themselves are pretty simple IIRC, so on one hand you shouldn't be held up at any point, but on the other, youre never really challenged except for some short parkour for collectables.
Escape From Mystwood Mansion is an escape room game with about four and a half pretty fleshed out rooms, each basically self-contained if you want to pace yourself. You can pick up and move/rotate things, which adds a fun dimension to the game. Light story with a cute twist, but the escape room part is very well done.
The Darkside Detective is a solid pixel point-and-click. Nine or so self-contained cases, with most being fairly comprehensive. Cute quirky comedy that doesn't get annoyingly grating. Don't recall any moon logic solutions. just a really solid game with a pretty fun sequel and a three-quel coming soon. The developers also did Seance of Blake Manor, which is another banger of a game.
Kathy Rain: Director's Cut is another point and click, with a pretty cool art style and music. The gameplay is fine and its fully voiced well, but the general atmosphere is a little... off IMO. The dialog feels just a tad overly "dark and edgy", like a teenager writing their first gritty fanfiction about life's hard realities, but they haven't really got the experience to make it seem fully formed. It touches on some serious topics, but does so with the briefest mentions. Like they don't want to tackle the heavy subjects fully but still want to mention them. Also, the final act is a little out there in my opinion.

is this worth if if i own everything from the 1st tier already (except for A Pet Shop After Dark)

I think if at least 2 of the games in tier 2 look good, you'll get a good deal (not counting other bundles)

Fear the Spotlight and Cabernet look good. And i'm a sucker for a good puzzle game, so Spooky Express looks like a good coffee-in-the-morning game or Melatonin-at-night game

I haven't played Spooky Express yet but played a lot of their other games so I think that's a safe bet! Cabernet is great if you like narrative games!

You can always take a look at the bundle page on itad to see if it's worth value wise and also see how many times the games have been bundled.
