Initially I wanted to purchase a S26 FE but it has no wired DeX.

Then I looked at the S26 and s25 but unfortunately they have only w25 charging power which is not enough.

New S26+ is out of my budget.

So it has to be one of those; - s24+ - s25 fe - s25+ - but I can't find any.

Given these choices, which one would you purchase? Or none?

I love how the purple S24+ looks but it's gonna be 3 years old soon...

Hi all. My wife's S24 FE has gotten some kind of infection that triggers anything she plugs her phone into a cable in the car for android auto. As soon as she plugs in you get a USB settings prompt and you you select the right options the browser opens with a random spam site and the phone can't communicate with android auto. My phone works just fine in the same car. I scoured the phone and can't find any rogue apps. It doesn't happen in safe mode but android auto also doesn't seem to run in safe mode. I checked last app used in the settings after it happens and don't see anything but samsung system apps. Is there anyway to fix it or do I have to resort to resetting it to factory?

The Pixel “Call Screening”, iPhone “Ask reason for calling” thing has come to S26 etc. too, called Call Screening>”Auto screen calls”.
I have the S24 with One UI 9, Android 17, in India, but I don’t see this option yet. This is an important feature to handle spam calls easily, automatically.
In the Phone app > Settings, I see “Text Call”, “Live Translate” etc, but no “Call Screening”.
Is anyone else facing this?

Since one ui 9 stable update battery has been draining like crazy am i charging wrong , i have basic battery protection and charge it to maximum all the time

While trying to restrict network access to apps on my phone I happen to come across TikTok Folder which is very weird considering

1) Tiktok is banned in India

2) I have never used Tiktok in my life

3) It's been trying to use network in my background quite frequently after blocking it

How do I figure out what it is? How do I remove it?

Just got UI 9. Installed in airplane mode to avoid issues. But is there anyway to move the Google search bar back to the top of the screen?

The phone would randomly freeze and then whatever app that was open would completely glitch out (Some apps are unaffected while others are absolutely unusable). Initially thought it would not appear on a screenshot, but managed to time one properly and it does show up

There's another version of the issue where it's both these combined, unfortunately dont have a photo of that.

So far I have tried a factory reset as well as a flash through Odin. None of which made any difference.

I have this weird google search bar that is directly above the app dock on home screen. It sits where the pages indicator of home screen is supposed to be and you can't select the widget to remove it. This was not the case with OneUI 8.5. Does anybody else have this issue? I am currently on One UI 9.0 Exynos variant

Note: They also messed up the fonts on some widgets (the device care widget for example) and also the font on the battery indicator.

Important addendum to the One UI 9 install plan — hold off on tapping Install until you read this. Multiple outlets are reporting today that some Galaxy phones, explicitly including the S24 series, are getting trapped on an XML "Access Denied" error screen after the One UI 9 install completes, unable to reach the home screen even after restarts. Samsung hasn't confirmed a cause or announced a fix.

The failure appears to be the post-update setup screen failing to verify against Samsung's servers — not the firmware install itself. There's a community-reported workaround (not Samsung-official, but it's working for people):

Prevention — install offline:

1.

Download the update on Wi-Fi as normal, but don't install yet.

2.

Turn on Airplane Mode (kills Wi-Fi, mobile data, Bluetooth — the whole point).

3.

Run the install while offline.

4.

When the phone reboots, complete setup and get to your home screen while still offline.

5.

Once you're at the home screen, turn Airplane Mode off and reconnect.

If you're already stuck on the error screen:

1.

Force restart: hold Volume Down + Power together until the phone restarts.

2.

Boot into Safe Mode (hold Volume Down as it boots, right after the Samsung logo appears).

3.

In Safe Mode, turn on Airplane Mode — or manually switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data.

4.

Restart normally. It should boot to your home screen; then turn Airplane Mode off.

5.

If you can't reach settings at all, turn off your Wi-Fi router or pull the SIM card — same effect, kills the data paths the setup screen is choking on.

Critical don'ts:

•

Do NOT factory reset. It won't fix a server-side verification failure and it permanently deletes your local files, photos, and settings.

•

If the workaround doesn't get you past it, contact Samsung Support rather than repeating recovery steps.

•

Some users report that simply waiting a few hours and restarting later resolved it — consistent with Samsung potentially fixing this server-side without announcing it.

Once you're safely on the home screen, the re-verification pass (LDAC, battery limits, Ring zones, SmartThings, Alexa, Wi-Fi) still applies as planned.

i updated my s24 to one ui 8.5 yesterday and got the update to one ui 9 today? should i update right away or wait for some time?
