Is anyone using a ring holder or stand that attaches magnetically to a MagSafe-compatible case, but still allows you to use other MagSafe accessories and wireless charging withouth removing the Ring?

I'm really interested in if anyone has gotten a magsafe adapter to work on their fault and if they had to use a skin as I'm open to exploring this option but not if it doesn't work.

In the picture I have found the thinnest magsafe case and ring holder I could and I'm somewhat satisfied with it but I'm really tempted to look at a magsafe magnet directly on the phone but have had no success with the fold seven.

Whether it's being able to listen to music and charge your phone at the same time, hook up external storage and an exteral display without a dock, or wanting to transfer files between two external drives, I feel like it would be nice to have a second USB-C port, especially with the screens big enough to run desktop apps on. Am I alone in this or are there others out there?

Hello I recently got my fold 8 and got gamenative working on it but i can’t seem to get fallout 3 goty to work on it. Has anyone been able to get this to work on their fold 8? I own the game via gog if that helps

For the record, I currently have a iPhone 14 Pro Max (512) since 2022 launch.

In Finland / Europe, the Fold 7 512 model has gone on sale for 1300€, (the lowest ever) and I was wondering if the Fold 7 is still worth it a year after it’s launch.

The Fold 8 (256, normal, no ultra) is on sale for 1750€, so 450€ more expensive and less storage.

How is the Fold 7, is it still a good phone for such price?

It's $1699 there and $1899 at Samsung. Yes, you get $400 in additional money to spend but def comes out $200 cheaper at BB with my trade in.

Have an S26 and Samsung gives me $400 and BB gives $500.

Looking to upgrade from my s23 to a zfold 8 ultra. Played with it a bit in store and really like it. Issue is i work in flatbed trucking so need a nice durable case for it if i pull the trigger. I have been a diehard otterbox user for years now and it has never disappointed.. but due to that i know nect to nothing about other cases, and would like one that is magsafe which otter is not.

What are some good options? Been browsing amazon a bit, but reciews only reassure me so far when its a tool i meed for work as well as fun 😅

The photo "enhancements" on the 50mp camera mode for my Z Fold 8 almost always makes photos look worse than when I use the 24 or even 12mp setting.

I can't seem to find a way to disable the weird smoothing filter the phone auto-applies to 50mp photos... have any of you found a way to de-AI-slopify your photos lol?

Am I the only one who thinks they are not placed well? When unfolded (in portrait) i naturally want to hold the "thicker" side (due to case mag ring etc) of the phone at the bottom for comfort and balance. The buttons end up under my fingers bracing the phone and I keep hitting them. Also the camera is in the lower right under my typing thumbs.

I have to keep forcing myself to turn the phone around, and it just feels wrong with the outside screen under my fingers on the bottom.

It is the one thing I do not like about the design.

Real quick, I've been trying to put my finger on what makes the fold 8's form factor special.

1. Its shaped like old media, books, magazines, newspapers

2. The front screen is just a micro tablet, that's the term I've been looking for!

So question for everyone with a fold 8. What ring holders are you rocking? I've tried like 5 different ones and can't seem to find one that's comfortable. Right now I have the kenu 10 in 1 and I like it but it's also really thick and adds some weight to the phone. So open to any ideas. Thanks in advance

Had the iPhone 13 since release date (roughly 5 years ago? jeez time flies), was a solid phone, but time gets us all and by now it wasn't as smooth of a phone as it used to be for me. So i took a look at what i wanted to get, curiosity took the best of me and i choose this Z Fold 8. First ever foldable i've ever had.

I'm really enjoying it! I love the aspect ratio, felt weird at the beginning but now every other phone feels like a long stick. The amount of customisation you can do to both home and lock screens is also really cool.

Facial recognition is not as smooth as face id on an iPhone, but the finger sensor on the side works like a charm and is really responsive and fast.

I really really enjoy reading on this phone. Aspect ratio is an absolute wonder for a double page book on landscape mode, screen is really crisp and battery lasts a lot.

On the bad side, i do find the camera to be worse than the one on my iPhone on certain apps, also some apps like Instagram are not fully optimized for this aspect ratio but i guess they will solve it now that the iPhone Duo is coming out.

All in all i'm very happy with the purchase.

Case is a DBrand grip with the "black camo" skin and the reader app is CDisplayEX.

I got two new cases this week; the one on the right I received yesterday, which is a Latercase, and the one on the left I got this morning for 15 bucks off AliExpress. Both feel pretty similar, and all the cutouts line up. The fibers on the Latter feel about the same as the AliExpress one. They were both ordered on the same day I ordered my new white Z Fold 8.

Hey! What’s the lowest price a Fold has hit during Black Friday? Do you know if it specifically dropped to 1500 euros in Italy?

I’m planning to get the Fold 8 Ultra, but I’m not sure if it’s worth waiting until Black Friday.

Not posting this to dog on the Switch 2 or anything (Especially since the aspect ratios depicted here aren't comparable), but I just picked up my Fold 8 Ultra, and was extremely happy with how 16:10 looked on Steam games that support it.

Even in16:9 is a big uplift from my S23 Ultra, but there's plenty of posts showing 16:9 playback.

I had previously tried googling Steamlink 16:10 on the Fold 8 Ultra but couldn't find anything, so I hope this helps. :^)

Like the title, when unfolded i like the lowest zoom setting for displaying more content. But when using it folded in everyday use, thats way to small and i keep having to go and change it every time i unfold. Linda annoying.

Anyone else found a solution for this?
