Gta IV Eflc not working

I recently installed a copy of GTA IV EFLC from this Internet Archive post. Ater properly activating it I opened it to play TBoGT but when I entered story mode the game crashedin the loading screen and it instantly closed I then tried it with TLAD but I still got the same issue. I also found out that when I do a technical test in the graphics menu the game also crashes.

I tried reinstalling the game but that didn't fix it. I was thinking the problem may be caused because a defective copy but I could not find another dvd copy of the game anywhere else on the internet.

Any help will be appreciated.

UPDATE: After weeks trying to find out a solution for this problem, I tried reinstalling it from another Internet Archive page, which after the installation it seemed to work without any problem.

Is gfwl not working or the game ? Have you updated it ? In 1.0.7.0 or 1.0.8.0. I would sau the more simple way to play eflc is to install gta iv complet edition (from steam or alternative) downgrade it with the option for gfwl compatible. Ilve done that and you have the base game and eflc, gfwl and some mods and patchs automaticly

GFWL is working, as I open the game it logs in without any problem. And I have updated the game to the version 1.1.3.0. I also tried downgrading the steam version but my pc detects a virus during the installations of the mods that are necessary for the game to work properly.

So this is a game problem not a gfwl problem. So others games work fine or not ? Try commandline.txt. And for the virus it's generaly false positive so scan it in virustotal and look if theres many detection and what type

GFWL works fine in my other games like F1 2011. I have already tried doing the commandline.txt method to bypass the graphical restricitions of GTA IV, but that didnt work either. I know I could have just add that "virus" to the exclusion list, but I dont really trust it enough to do it.

I think this is a problem of gta iv (not specially gfwl) so i think other communities on reddit can help you too. Do you have tried DXVK and ZolikaPatch ?

Yes, I have tried Vulkan but the game still crashes. And when I was trying to downgrade the Steam version of GTA IV, it was ZolikaPatch what was flagged as a virus.

Zolika Patch as a virus ? Do you download it from github ? And what's your's pc specs ?
