With the retirements of eoin Murphy and seamus harnedy recently, what other high profile players do we think will pack it in?
Looks like tj Reid is staying on and can't see any of the Limerick boys giving up either. Clare ? john conlon must be 37, conor cleary lot of miles on clock too, SOD gone.

This would be due to start in 2028. Initial seeding would be based on 2027 final positions. So there would be a big difference between finishing 4th or 5th in Leinster in 2027 as it would put you into group A or B resp.

Great to see hurling in Kerry on the up. Tralee CBS had won Munster U19 B last year, so to get their first ever win in Harty Cup (A) level is a great achievement.

Evan o'carroll of Laois moving to live and work in Donegal, good enough for Donegal panel? Surely

When in the name of God are the GAA going to do something about the issue of awful colour clashes?
This isn't some minor league game, this is from a televised championship match.
It's embarrassing as an organisation that we can't get something as simple in order, and obviously the issue of pettiness and ego and not wanting to give the opponent the upper hand plays a part.

If anyone knows the Leinster draw structure or anything about Waterford, that would be really helpful!
This is kept up-to-date along with (as best I can) Intermediate & Junior here:

The Dublin Club Football Championship goes as follows:
Senior 1 - 16 teams
Senior 2 - 16 teams
Intermediate club - 16 teams
Junior 1 club - 16 teams
Junior 2 club - 12 teams
My question is why donāt the senior 2 champions go into the intermediate club all Ireland instead of the intermediate champions? Is it just because they would be too strong given the playing population?
It seems a bit daft sending the 33rd best team in the county into the all Ireland when the likes of Kerry are sending their 11th best team.

Hi there, wondering if anyone has some good fundraising ideas for a rural club? We do the usual, last man standing etc(200 or so at ā¬20 a head) we've done songo bingo ( bingo loco type like) that was a great success. Any other ideas? We have people that will get behind things and a lot of people that will help. Any ideas are appreciated

I know every man and his dog is releasing a GAA game now, which is great to see (checkout the Gaelic Star game, incredible Gaelic Football game from a solo dev).
When I posted here about Micro Gaelic Football earlier this year people and the mods were so supportive. One common request I got at the time was to make a hurling version so I hope the mods don't mind me posting these links.
It's been described as "Ireland's fourth most popular casual, retro, mobile Hurling game released so far this autumn".
Links are below, it's got a manager career mode and player career mode.
Gameplay won't be for everyone, it's got a 'Sensible Soccer' style but I hope hurling fans get some enjoyment out of it.

I've been involved in coaching GAA teams over the years and one thing that always frustrated me was the amount of WhatsApp groups and spreadsheets/pdf's needed to keep everything organised.
Between organising training, chasing attendance, picking teams and keeping track of performances, there's a fair bit of work involved behind the scenes. The lack of accountability really pushed the reasoning for us to build the app.
A while back, we decided to have a go at building something ourselves.
We called it Strive, and the idea was to bring as much of the day-to-day team management stuff as possible into one place removing the whatsapp groups and the polls.
It's not exclusively for GAA, as we've also built it for soccer, rugby and Aussie Rules, but GAA was a big part of the thinking behind it.
We've got it to the stage now where we'd like to get a few coaches and players using it with their teams and see what they make of it.
Some of the things we've included are:
Team management: Organising training, fixtures, attendance and player availability.
Team selection: A drag-and-drop line-up builder with layouts for different sports, including GAA.
Match stats: Tracking player and opposition stats, with reports and comparisons.
Player training logs: Players can record their own gym, running and skills sessions.
Leaderboards: Tracking attendance, training activity and player stats throughout the season.
Team communication: Separate chats for players and management, along with match instructions and tactical notes.
Parent accounts: Linked parent accounts for underage teams, with communication going through parents.
Calendar sync: Players and coaches can sync fixtures and training with their own calendars.
There's a few other bits in there too, but that's the main idea.
We know there are already apps doing parts of this, and we're not claiming to have reinvented anything. We just wanted to build something we'd have found useful ourselves when coaching.
We're looking for a few people involved in GAA clubs who'd be willing to give it a proper go.
Ideally, we'd like people to actually use it with a team rather than just have a quick look around. That way we'll get a better idea of what works, what's awkward and what needs improving.
We're genuinely interested in getting feedback from people involved in coaching and playing.
If anyone's interested, leave a comment or send me a DM and I'll get you access.
Cheers!

Clare SHC final. Inagh/Kilnamona 2-18 Kilmaley 1-14. Inagh Kilnamona have won their first ever county title. Amalgamated as a permanent club in 2008(Kilnamona had 3 titles, last one in 1908, Inagh none). Stars were best for them today. Aidan McCarthy good first half with a great goal, Fred Hegarty with 1-5 and David Fitzgerald with 0-5 from play too. Pulled away in the last 5 mins. Kilmaley just didn't have enough scoring forwards. No Plan B. All high ball lumped on Conor Cleary and keith white did a good job on him. Tough on them as have about 6/7 that are over 30.
Big for Inamona. Could kick on now and win a few. Will do decent in Munster I think
9450 attendance
Hi all, I've been tasked with getting new jerseys for our local club.
I'd love to get some inspiration from jerseys that are popular. If you have a jersey design that you love, please share.
Thank you!
Colours: Navy, Green, White

Clonduff never looked like they were losing. The far better team on the day. It was always going to be difficult for Burren to come again after finally beating Kilcoo in the championship semi final.
A massive crowd today, I believe i heard over 7000 people there. I cant imagine Clonduff will care too much about doing well in Ulster tonight, it's party time for them š

Weāve recently moved back to Ireland, and my seven-year-old son has taken a keen interest in hurling. Heās been to about four training sessions and matches so far and is still learning the basics. He sometimes gets frustrated when striking the ball out of his hand, as his swing is more like a tennis stroke, hitting with 1 hand, etc.
Group training has now finished, so Iād really appreciate any advice on simple skills we could practise together over the next few months to help him build his confidence and improve in partciular hitting out of hand.
