Frat Stuff Pledge Class
If a sizeable portion of the pledges cannot make the class time work for them, is there any way offering a second class time would work? I am very against doing this because pledges need to be one unit and do everything together, but if we are going to loose a lot of potential new members if we don’t offer an additional time, should we do it? Our chapter is in a rebuild phase, which is why I am considering offering an additional class

my chapter determines pledge ed times based on pledge availability and provides makeup times for when they don’t have one single overlap period. if you’re educating them right, you don’t need to rely on pledge ed for them to bond (and if you’re bidding the right people, they should be bonding by themselves). make them try a little bit, but having a secondary time is just not the end of the world, especially if your priority is growth and retention. beggars can’t be choosers, after all.

Why can’t they make the time work for them? Pledge chapter needs to be a priority on their schedule, just like any other meeting, club, or responsibility.
If you had work, a meeting for research, another club or responsibility, would you just say “I can’t make it”?
It needs to be made known that this is a commitment, they’re probably just seeing it as a thing they need to do to “get in”.

I'm having a really hard time because I have a difficult major and my frat is not flexible. It's probably going to force me to drop it even though I don't want to but I also can't fail my classes

why would this be a problem? give your availability and let them decide the time (and then hold them to it).
