Classic cars wasn’t expensive enough, I’ve decided to pick up surfing too. The combo of them looks great.

Ask Fender clearance 1990 LX

So I did the maximum motorsports k-member, neutral offset control arms, and billstein coilovers with 10” springs and it’s on sn95 spindles. Only problem is as shown above the tires rub on the trim piece on the front of the fender, I honestly thought it was going to clear a lot better. It’s not at ride height as well due to the lack of motor but I only see that clearance getting tighter so that won’t help. There is a ton of space behind the tire so I could just do rearward offset control arms instead of normal offset but I’m hoping to avoid that so that I can have more caster adjustment. Also have a ton of wheel to coil over clearance so I could get more positive offset wheels (currently 18x8.5” with a 24mm offset, could be slightly off there, 245/40-18 tires) but again hoping to avoid this (this one’s financial, trying to build a motor here). Any chance someone else ran into this? I don’t think I can just cut the trim piece but it and a small tab for the fender liner (just now realizing how bad that will rub) are all that rub, well and the brake lines but I can fix that. Any help would be much appreciated. Maybe there’s a replacement trim piece that allows more fender to wheel clearance?
