An old lady once gave me some boxes of slides from her dead husband

I recently fell heir to a copy of The Galloway Gazette's centenary souvenir which has some interesting views and opinions, great old photographs and adverts from businesses now just a memory. Let me know your thoughts.

After my old man died, I inherited THOUSANDS of old photos and documents, including shots of him as a kid, and a shot as an adult working in a radio station. South Carolina, 1930s-40s, 1980s.

Found these slides in the garage of vacant home I was helping clear out. I would love to know if it’s possible to identify the rocket launch on slide 3 since there wasn’t a date printed on the slide. The digital photos were from inside the house.

I think if I remember correctly it was someone in the Vancouver region, maybe New Westminster, BC. Norwegian background. Hoping to give this to them.
