Is playing on the original switch actually that bad, or is it usable in 2026 for fortnite

hi, I have about $50 in eshop funds on a different switch profile that is not signed in to Fortnite. if I buy vbucks on that profile, will it share to the profile I do use to play Fortnite? or only if I log in on that profile? thanks

My 7 year old is very into Fortnite and always wants to play so I recently bought him the game for his Switch. I am not a gamer and this stuff is like a foreign language to me. It is so confusing and I genuinely don’t understand the point of the game or what we are supposed to be doing lol. What is the best way to learn to play so I can help and teach him how?

Ive been playing fortnite by myself for a while now since most of my friends either quit or don't want to play with my anymore so I've been looking for teammates and I mostly play Xbox and mobile and I'm not very good but not very bad at the same time

Okay so I always see other players have such fluid camera controls vs when I use my joystick to look in another direction is like so fast/ no fluidity? But I’ve tried turning down the speed and it doesn’t help with what I’m talking about. No matter what I look up or try and mess with in my settings I don’t know how to get mine like that or if I even can playing on switch 2. Either way I don’t know how to describe it really so I attach some videos. The first video is what I’m trying to describe and the second one (I attached in the comments) is my screen.

My child has an account initally set up on the Switch, I have linked the Epic and Switch accounts where I can login on PC if needed, but when I go to put the parental control pin in while in game, it says it is wrong. I have updated the pin on Epic website so I know it is correct. I just want to block text chats, and adding friends and apparently you can't do that on the Epic website.

Every time i turn my switch on it will make fortnite update for about an hour an a half i dont know why i does this can anyone let me know how to fix or why its happening?

I consider myself a very strange variant of OG, a new generation of OG that only exists because of the staggering evolution Fortnite has gone through in the last few years.

My first ever Fortnite match was on December 26th, 2019. I had just got a Switch Lite and was poking around in the item shop for free games and saw Fortnite. At this era in my life I was still suffering from 2017 “Minecraft good Fortnite bad” brainrot, and in a rare moment of clarity for a 15 year old I said to myself “Maybe I can’t decide that for certain, considering I’ve never played either.”

The first thing I saw was the black hole thing from season X and I was just in time for Chapter 2 Season 1. Somehow the cutscene of Jonesy jumping off the bus led right into my very first match, playing as Jonesy the second, which I somehow won, probably cuz of bots.

During that match I also accidentally no-scoped someone from like 200 meters away because I was messing around with different guns. I caught the tail end of the John Wick LTM revival, and the Star Wars lightsabers had just made their debut. 2020 sucked, making the glider extremely ironic. Lieutenant Evergreen is still one of my absolute favorite skins, and every single year I look forward to busting him out of my locker for Christmas.

I sadly did not buy the C2S1 battle pass, as I didn’t understand how it worked and wasn’t sure if it was worth spending real money, something I’ve been kicking my own ass about for the last 7 years. (I also missed the revival battle pass, FML.)

I’m 22 now, and it’s to think about how much time has passed since I started playing. The memories are surprisingly important to me even though it’s a silly, cartoonish game. I still love Fortnite, but nothing has topped the magic of chapter 2 for me.

I bought the C2S2 battle pass, because I couldn’t pass up Deadpool, and I had never played a game with crossover skins before, so that news blew my tits clean off. Again, didn’t know how levels and quests worked so I didn’t get the gold Agent Peely. Also, FUCK Epic for not making Deadpool’s pickaxe his katanas and have them come out of his backbling sheath. THEY HAD LITERALLY JUST INVENTED THE CONCEPT WITH BRUTUS.

I thought season 3 was kind of lackluster, although jet skiing behind a shark was pretty cool, and the custom ‘Brella was legendary. I was going to make it red and black to match Deadpool, but I forgot about the deadline and it’s now permanently stuck in boring plain default mode. (Again, FML.)

C2S4, the first marvel season blew my tits clean off again, and the live event is still my favorite to this day. I lost my mind over Mando in season 5, and by then I was catching on to how everything worked so thankfully I fully unlocked the armor.

Temple of Doom is my favorite movie, and I felt like I waited my whole life for that skin. A few months ago I finally pulled the trigger on the Jason Voorhees machete pickaxe, which goes perfectly with Indy’s TOD variant style. I know they’re controversial, but I adore the pen and ink skins and hope one day we’ll get a pen and ink Indiana Jones.

The staff of Ra pickaxe is cool and all, but I really wish his pickaxe would’ve been his whip, and for it to be taken on/off his belt like Brutus’ backbling/pickaxe. I distinctly remember being pissed because they had already proved the concept works with Ghost Rider’s chains. Every whip or whiplike pickaxe that’s come out since then has just been salt in the wound. Even BND Spider-Man got a web whip/flail thingy which felt so random.

I don’t know why I took this all down when no one asked. Maybe I just wanted to reminisce about why I love Fortnite. Anyone else that started out in chapter 2 want to share their favorite stories?

Has anyone seen any good binds for the switch 2 Mouse controls? Navigating the custom binds section of the settings menu is extremely overwhelming so I want to see if people have a baseline comfortable control scheme they use

I need a good duo with vc to play with since i cant seem to get good mates.

I want to play vc duoa but i always get 6 year olds who are unable to even heal and then are shocked when they die, or i just dont get a duo at all. Anyone up to duo with me? Also i play zero build.

5 years ago I lost my account,I tried so many times to get it back but i couldn’t. I even had proof of ownership,gave epic invoice ids but still couldn’t. The last time I tried to get it back was around 2023 when it still wouldn’t work. 2 days ago I tried again and finally after 5 years got it back. When I lost it I only had around 40-50 skins and now i got 220. It even has the current battle pass at level 125. It had the season 6 chapter 1,and season x battle pass on it but they meant so much for me as a kid and now that I finally have my childhood account back feels unreal.Does anyone know why it worked this time?

Im tempted to buy a converter but that will give an unfair aim assist advantage.. i just think this is strange..

So whenever I change game modes "BR - Reload" or "Star wars droid - OG" it has to download it every single time

Anyone know why Fortnite on the Switch 2 doesn't support DLSS on Switch 2? I've seen comparisons between DLSS and TSR and DLSS looks better in comparison

I've been playing Fortnite on Switch 2 handheld mode on gyro controls (my aim was even worse on Joy Con stick controls), and have "only" started playing Fortnite/video games in general for the past half year or so

but still, I'm having a very hard time aiming, especially recently it feels like. I have a win rate this season of about 20%, but still I feel like my aiming skills have deteriorated significantly recently

more specifically, I have an almost impossible time shooting at opponents that keep moving (especially jumping, but even running around is enough), and cannot "track" opponents like one apparently would on KBM

when an opponent moves for example, I often feel like I have to rotate my entire body or some shit to keep up. Does anybody know why i'm so bad at this, or what other people have done to improve, or just generally how to be good at aiming on Switch handheld?

I am having an issue signing into my Epic account on my switch One.

I'll break it down:

1) We have an Epic account linked to our PSN. The account is under one email address.

2) we have linked the PSN to Epic account and

3) we have linked the Nintendo Switch account to Epic.

4) PSN, Lego and Nintendo are all linked under the Epic account

5) we have downloaded fortnite on the Switch One, and when we try to link the Epic account to the Switch (either of the 2 Nintendo profiles on the switch) it wont show as linked on the Nintendo. Even though it says on the Epic that it is

6) the Nintendo profiles are both different emails to the Epic account.

7) when we click on Fortnite to play on the Switch instead of the main Epic account it comes up with the Switch Profiles as basic accounts.

I think thats everything, any help getting the Epic account to work on the Switch would be greatly appreciated.
