I’m getting married next week and I’m debating on either walking down the “aisle” (we’re getting married outside) in silence or if I decide to play music it would have to be Florence, obvi she’s everything to me. But the question is, if I do go the music route, what song should I pick? Of course I know all of her songs but when trying to think of what would be best to go down the aisle to I draw a blank. I wouldn’t want something on the nose like “you’ve got the love”. My favorite song is “never let me go” but that seems a bit like a downer to walk down the aisle to. So anyways, what ideas do y’all have?

For context, we are getting married in Savannah GA in a historic square with like 3-4 ppl coming. My wedding dress is black and the groom will be in a dark green suit/black shirt. Then we’re taking everyone on a ghost tour and then dinner. So nothing about the wedding will be very “traditional”.

It's almost a year since Everybody Scream was released and I've been thinking a lot about it this past year. It was a big year for me. I moved to Kansas City ten days before the album came out and it was culture shock going from small town rural Missouri to the big city. The album helped me through some tough times; long commutes in traffic, a stressful job, trying to make friends. Sympathy Magic especially became a kind of anthem, of changing, of living. And now, nearly a year later, I'm in a much better place, but the album still feels so special. It's great to listen to the whole year, but October is perfect for it, and it takes me back to those gloomy days in the city. But I look at them with nostalgia now

1. DOG DAYS ARE OVER✨️: Peak, nothing more to say, it was the reason why i decided to listen to the album

2. RABBIT HEART: i needed a lot of listening to finally find it nice, but is pretty good, even if i don't get what is she saying

3. I'M NOT CALLING YOU A LIAR: This sounds very ethereal, I like the feeling, but i need more time

4. HOWL: Low-key, I kinda forget this one is on this album, I like the name being the name of a Studio Ghibli character, is weird how I forget about this one, if is such a great song, but i think is because it gets outshone by the rest of the album

5. KISS WITH A FIST✨️: I LOVE THIS, it's so chaotic, so sweet, omg, I love the songs that break the atmosphere so great

6. GIRL WITH ONE EYE ✨️: MY FAVORITE OF THE WHOLE ALBUM, omg, it's so dark, the meaning of the song, i feel this song found me perfectly

7. DRUMMING SONG ✨️: I LOVE THE COMPOSITION OF THIS ONE, very neat, i love the chorus of the bridge, this album really has a great sound and feeling

8. BETWEEN TWO LUNGS🫠: I like the whistle of the beginning, but this song is kinda meh for me, honestly

9. COSMIC LOVE: I feel this one can replace between two lungs very easily, but idk, this one takes me back to I'm not calling you a liar, which is kinda crazy, because is the same feeling I have with Between two lungs and Howl

10. MY BOY BUILDS COFFINS: kinda skip, idk, this one and, you know it, are my least favorites of the whole record

11. HURRICANE DRUNK ✨️: I HATE MY SPOTIFY FOR BUGGING WHILE THIS ONE WAS PLAYING, BITCH, THIS ONE IS PEAK, I feel fed after all, the message is giving Marina and the Diamonds, damn, i wish I lived during the time when this album was released

12. BLINDING ✨️: I LOVE THE INTRO, THE CONSTRUCTION, THE COMPOSITION, THE LYRICS, DAMN, i love the drums in this album, the baroque feeling, and this song is the epitome of all of it, should been the title track instead of the lungs song

13. YOU'VE GOT THE LOVE ✨️: I feel Blinding is a better closing track, but it doesn't mean this song doesn't hit, it takes me back to dog days are over, which is a cycle I love, it is competent to be a closing track, and i can't help, but stan.

Extra song: FALLING✨️: (writing my bare reaction: is this song incomplete? I mean, It makes sense... oh wait, there's something... OK girl, keep building up... DROP IT... oh this one is nice... THAT ENDING?!?!? WHAT?!?... oh dear, this should have been on the album, THIS ONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE ALBUM)

(And writing this, while struggling with my Spotify, that for any reason doesn't work well on my iPad and is a fucking hell)

I feel this album is very great it has songs that I love now, but i already see this one will get outclassed by the rest of her discography once I explore more

By now, my favorite albums is still being Everybody Scream, which one should I listen next?

I’m making a couple things and i’m not entirely certain on my choice for one for what I have planned so I need some inspiration to be certain. If you had to pick only up to six words of any of her songs, what would it be?

I usually revisit The Odyssey every year around its anniversary, but lately I have found this particular song and chapter playing in the back of my head in the off-season.

Though I love the power of the studio version ending, this a capella ending hits in such a personal way. Both always make me cry. The plead and pang of her voice is so palpable.

This is an appreciation post more than anything, so feel free to join me in praising Mother Florence for her vulnerable honesty!

Florence performing a private set for Index Ventures (company that massively invests in cybersecurity AI startups in Israel). Isn’t she famous and rich enough to avoid getting, even indirectly, affiliated with certain companies?

I know this is a long shot, but I was one of the fans that got hugged in Seattle earlier this year. I don't really use reddit so it didn't occur to me to ask back then. I wanted to see if anyone had additional videos of it that they'd be willing to share? It was during Sympathy Magic, I was on the left side of the barricade near the end, with the pink roots and red bodysuit. I grew up with Florence's music, and I would cherish anything you may have.

My next challenge: I want to get my next Flo drawing done for Halloween, as that’s the anniversary of Everybody Scream.

I posted concert footage from her Toronto show back in April. At first it was just content id claims which usually happen with some concert videos I post. But YouTube doesn't deem it a strike, as I am not monetizing anyways. But all of a sudden last week I got hit with three copyright strikes for all the videos! I tried to email IFPI who initiated the takedowns but I haven't heard back yet. I was reading about whether I can go straight to UMG (Universal Music) or try to get to Florence's team to help escalate this. I was merely posting as a fan, same as others that post her concert footage im sure, and don't want to have to lose my channel over this. Especially since I know Florence would probably have more compassion for the mistake. Has anyone else dealt with this on their YouTube channels and know any way to contact Florence's team, or had success with the strike retractions?

I placed a preorder in August for the bat fan along with other tour items. I was informed by Universal Music Group (USA) a couple of days before it was set to ship that my order in general would be delayed. I then got an email that the bat fans would be delayed and if I still wanted to keep them in my order, and I said yes. Now as of today, the two bat fans I ordered are getting refunded entirely.

I was sick so I couldn’t make the show in my city and was happy when the fans went in stock online. I ordered other items but since bats are one of my favorite animals I was most excited about this one.

I’m just really annoyed and sad because I don’t see how an item can be listed as a preorder yet sell out and just not be fulfilled.

I usually end up buying tote bags at concerts to carry stuff around in then I never use them again. Ive started taking the bags cutting out the logos and sewing them onto hoodies. Its also way cheaper than buying a hoodie that may or may not have the logo straight. Just figured I would pass on the idea. :)
