Moving to town

Hey guys, I recently got a job over in Indianapolis and I’ve been looking for good places to live and I really like the sound of fishers. I was wondering if there’s any apartments or I guess anything for rent that will take huskies I have a husky and a cat. This might be the wrong place to ask this so if it is feel free to delete it, I’m just curious I’m trying to get ahead of it before I actually start moving and stuff like that but just let me know. Thanks in advance!

Did Anyone Else See The Space Wreckage 10/13 at around 6:30am? It was out east near the sunrise. I managed to get a bad picture after pulling over but wondered if anyone else got some good pictures.

Edit: I’m being told it was a space x launch, but haven’t seen anything official yet.

Recommendations for putting on letterman jacket patches

We would appreciate recommendations for a great place to put the patches on and how they should go on in the back. We have both school and non-school patches and two more seasons to consider. Thank you.

Yafa Golden Coffee food place for late night studying?

Hi all, I was looking for good places to study late-ish in the fishers/noblesville area and I’ve recently found out that Yafa is open until midnight

My only concern is how loud/busy it gets in there. It seems more like a social cafe so not really sure if it would be ideal for studying

Let’s get Batty, Indiana! 🦇 Help us make the Indiana bat our official state mammal!

For anyone who hasn't heard about our grassroots campaign yet, Our State, Our Bat is a citizen led effort to designate our incredible native Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis) as our official state mammal! 🦇💚

What started as a simple idea has grown into an amazing statewide movement. Thanks to community members stepping up, we’ve already secured official municipal support, organizational backing, and best of all, a state representative who is officially authoring the bill for the upcoming 2027 legislative session!

Now, we are in the final home stretch. Our petition is currently sitting at 4,231 signatures, and our goal is to hit 5,000 by the end of this month when the campaign concludes, so we can prep our complete legislative packet.

We need all the support we can get from our local neighbors to cross that finish line. If you haven't signed yet, please take a quick second to add your name, and help us spread the word to your friends, family, and local groups.

Let’s make our little Hoosier Heroes official, Indiana! Sign the petition here: https://c.org/JrdDXNvVh8

106/Allisonville

Does anyone else feel like this entire intersection is just a hack job? The lines and edging and work just seems incredibly subpar. Aesthetically it's hard to look at every morning, and I've come to the realization that this is when it's going to look like forever. The level and quality of work seems to be incredibly subpar.

sorry... I meant 116/Allisonville. I was driving south and at 106 by the time I posted 😅

Mom Group wanted

Hello! I recently had my first baby and am on the tail end of my maternity leave. I know there are a few different options for mom groups in the area, but most of them seem tailored toward SAHMs. I’ve been to some of these groups but once I go back to work my 9-5 schedule won’t allow it.

Are there any mom groups in the area tailored toward working moms? Specifically looking for some that meet either towards the end of the workday or even on weekends. I’d love to find some community that I can consistently be a part of with my little :)

Adopt my foster kittens!

Hi everyone! I'm fostering with ARPO, a local animal rescue in Indy. I have three kittens who are (im)patiently waiting for their forever homes. They were born in my house in April and their mom and two siblings have already been adopted.

These babies are almost 6 months old and are the best kittens--socialized, loving, friendly, and playful. They're fixed, litter box trained, and fully vetted. I'd love to find at least two of them a home together! Bios below.

Eddy: Goofy, confident boy who plays fetch and likes water. Will ideally pair with Brook!

Brook: Gorgeous, sassy girl who loves to cuddle and make biscuits on soft blankets and her people. Total gamer girl (she likes to watch)!

Banks: Lanky, easygoing gentleman who is very people-oriented and vocal. Loves to play fetch!

If you're interested, please apply and we'll contact you to see if it's a good fit. You can also DM me with any questions or interest. Thanks for considering them!

Couple Friends

Hi everyone,

I, like everyone else as they get older, have found it much more difficult to make friends anymore. We moved here about a year ago and have not really made an effort in making new friends. Don’t get me wrong, I feel silly posting this but here we are.

We are looking to make some couple friends. I am 30 and my wife is 28. We also recently found out that we are expecting our first child. We mostly enjoy going out to dinner and grabbing some cocktails or going to a brewery(not my wife as much now). We enjoy being active and being out and about as well. We are very much dog people, with two of our own. I love watching sports, nfl, college football, and college basketball. I do like to golf but don’t get to go as often as I would like. My wife can get along with pretty much anyone, she really enjoys being active, working out and being on the go. She also loves fashion.

If you’re a couple and think we could be friends, drop a comment below!

Edit: not into swinging/sharing or anything close to those things

Ex Colts/Purdue player is a serial rapist

Where there is one victim, there is many…you never know who he may be assaulting, but his wife who works with at-risk youth knows and it seems she has excused his patterns.

In my experience, I did confront my rapist, retired NFL player, and his wife after he deemed it appropriate to shout my name in the middle of the grocery store. So I waited outside and politely told her, she stood there blankly staring at me…but I don’t think she was in disbelief…it was almost like you could see everything clicking in her head as she was connecting the dots in the moment, and thinking not again…He’s a serial rapist there are still articles that exist even though his arrest record does not publicly…I now personally know of 6 other women he has raped…

My point is I am no longer willing to not live in my truth and protect a rapist and hide his vile actions from others in our community that deserve to know so that they can properly protect themselves. He currently lives in Fishers and earlier this year raised money via a gofundme for his heart surgery after IndyStar did a lengthy article on him and his journey.

Meanwhile I’m nearly 10 years post my brutal rape and fighting every day to be alive and deal with the severe mental health issues that come with complex PTSD.

Public Hearing Notice

I noticed there was a public hearing notice about this property off Lantern and 106th, but I couldn't find anything about it on the Fishers website. Does anyone have any information what is happening here?

It's already a weird property with what seems to be an old buried parking lot.

places like smileys playhouse not in indy

has anyone ever had issues with smiley’s playhouse

hello, my family of 3 mom dad and toddler went to smileys during a weekday , for the pure fact that i knew it would be almost empty seeing as house everyone will be in school/work. we ended up being the only family there, dad and baby were in the ballpit and then a grown man with no children dived into the pit and was playing , and kept inching towards me and was twerking. i told dad we needed to leave this guy was weird, still no sign of him having children. dad and baby got out and the man started following them.
i guess im just not understanding why adults with no children are being allowed in a children’s play house

with all that being said , any recommendations on places to take my little one. i love busy bee cafe its just kinda far

🦇🦇 It’s Swarming Season! 🦇🦇

Post image

Right now, Indiana bats are entering their "swarming" phase. Flying in and out of cave entrances to congregate with their colonies and mate before winding down for winter hibernation.

Meanwhile, the Our State, Our Bat colony is ramping up to “swarm” the General Assembly by showing lawmakers just how badly Hoosiers want the Indiana bat to be our official state mammal! 🏛️✨

To do so, we need a massive push to spread the word and get our petition signatures climbing! Head to the link below to sign, share with your friends and family, and help us make history! 💚

Stay Batty Indiana!

My dog is lame and I need an excellent orthopedic surgeon.

My vet referred me to orthopedic surgeons and they all say something different. CT is unremarkable. I need a 4th opinion. Who is amazing?
