Hello all, there seems to be an increasingly higher amount of posts with the same recurring themes. I've decided to make a simple compilation of some of the best guides on this subreddit, as well as some simple explanations to help provide quick & easy answers to these questions.
Have a guide you think deserves to be on the list? Comment with it below and we can make our best attempt at creating a complete set of guides for Career Mode. The amount of guides in the last year or so compared to other years has dwindled, so hopefully this will encourage more excellent quality content.
This is a work-in-progress, and more guides will continually be added by request and as of publishing.
There is a plethora of excellent resources that will help with a lot of the things in this post. Some people prefer to play without the use of external databases and calculators, offering a more vanilla experience. After all, it's a single player game so it's your preference!
| Website | Description |
|---|---|
| https://sofifa.com/ | Best up-to-date player database. Can make shortlists, view old squad files and has a positional calculator to find optimal positions. |
| https://www.fifacm.com/ | Has some unique tools including a potential calculator to figure out potential for a player not at your club. Also has a 'wonderkid' list. |
| https://fifakitcreator.com/ | Only usable in-game on PC, allows you to browse and create custom kits for your team. Note that only PC can use any mods. |
| https://www.fifarosters.com/create-card | Nice tool to create very high quality FC 24 UT cards for your career mode players, allowing you to upload your own images. |
Career Mode works by replacing players as they retire in the game with generated players that don't exist in real life. When you enter the loading screen for a new season, that is the moment that they are being created, replacing retirees for the season you have just finished.
Regens have identical nationality, position(s), and importantly, birth dates to the player whom they have replaced. They will always spawn in the new season between 16-21 years old, and in the same league (but not same club) that the retiring player was in when you entered the loading screen.
Pregens are a rarer, more pre-emptive form of player replacement. These are effectively regens of a player who is not retiring, so both players will exist in the game simultaneously. Pregens also remain at the same club as their predecessor. You could expect to find a Messi pregen at Inter Miami, providing he hadn't moved clubs, and wasn't retiring.
The importance of your awareness of these game mechanics, revolves around the fact that both regens and pregens will start with the same potential overall as their predecessor's highest overall in your save.

I want to be able to put in a whipped cross in front of my runner but idk how. Sometimes when I just press the cross button it will do what I want and be ahead of the player making the run. But what usually happens is that the runner stops and the ball goes straight for him instead of in front (second image).

Got fc 24 for the switch a couple years ago for pennies but never really played it since I already had it on the ps, I’m abroad for a couple of months and it’s surprisingly not bad at all on here. Currently on a road to glory career mode with tranmere rovers with Gerrard as manager , current fa cup winners
Last time I put i was so deep into a handheld career mode was back in the psvita days with fifa football

So I get the ball out on the left with my winger and the striker all he needs to do is run forward centre of the box for a tap in. instead, he decides to come to the winger for no apparent reason to ruin any chance of scoring, does somebody know why the positioning on this fifa is so bad or is there a setting im missing?

I originally started by recreating Michael Owen for my FC27 Career Mode…
but somehow the squad slowly turned into this 😂
Owen isn’t the only legend I’ve brought back either — there are quite a few familiar faces in there.
Still tweaking some ratings and PlayStyles, but I’m pretty happy with how the squad is coming together.
Who would you add next?

List of annoying things i found (I do not know which are bugs and which are just the damn game executing the stuff badly)
1. Player wants to move out, offer keep coming and i had a deal with the buying club yet the player keep rejecting the contract. It happens on every save i started.
2. Player said "thank you for the chances to play you've given me lately" and in the next day, the same player is frustrated because he didn't get enough playing time and want a loan out.
3. Commentators keep talking about transfer rumors while it's just my scouts doing their work. It's truly annoying because it kinda distracted me during gameplay.
4. Injuries happen sooo often, and the players fatigue recovery is behaving weirdly or slow.
5. Players demand a raise and the it's a deal, he then thanked me, but i keep getting mails from the board telling me i need to resolve it's conflict one way or another which is weird because i already did.
6. A lot of useless unexpected events that have little to no significant change in the game. (Not all of them are like that, but it feels like 70-85% of them are to me personally.)
It's the most fun career mode i've ever played, yet it's also the most frustrating one because of how messed up everything is.

As spurs my expectations were to win the conference league (even though I finished 5th last season so I should’ve played the europa league), win the fa cup and qualify for the champions league. I finished third and got sacked specifically for not qualifying for the champions league?
WHAT THE FUCK? This year’s career mode has been so buggy it’s become unplayable I’ll expect until they fix it but who knows when that time will come

hi guys,
when i was kid I really enjoyed career mode in FIFA 14
I downloaded FIFA 27 yesterday with EA Play, and Career Mode in this game feels more like Football Manager to me. There’s SOOO much stuff to do outside of matches: youth academy, scouting, training, player development, constantly renewing players’ contracts, lengthy transfer negotiations, and so on, I felt so bored idk
Could you recommend a FIFA (but not 14) that you think has the best Career Mode?

Anybody else who plays on Ultimate difficulty noticed that the gameplay has changed in the past week? It was so much fun last week and now it feels exactly like fc26

So I recently had an amazing save where I took the Danish Swedish and Norweign Leagues and put all the teams into the Bundesliga, 2 bundesliga and 3 liga making an amazing and really enjoyable league, and I was wondering if anyone had done something similar or different where they've set up a league with repalced teams and moving teams around to make a really fun and enjoyable league
