Could a FengShui expert help me with the layout of this 2 bed, 1 bath apartment?
There’s a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and rec room. Any help would be gladly appreciated!

Top of the picture points south. I live in the northern hemisphere. I have some ideas about the layout, but can't seem to settle on the best solution. I want to maximise the sense of space in the apartment. I think keeping the sleeping/storage area and the entertainment/work area separate would be best.
Some constraints:
-I can not switch the two rooms because my cats disrupt my sleep, and there is only one door in the apartment (landlord doesn't want to add more). And I don't want the smells from the kitchen reaching my bed.
-The bed is a loft bed, so some idea of where the ladder will go must be taken into consideration. It's drawn as a carpet on the floorplan for clarity.
-No dryer, so drying rack will semi-permanently have to exist somewhere (ideally under the loft bed).
-The ceiling is low, so area under the loft bed is not usable for more than storage.
-The two wardrobes have a drop down roller door, so things can be places right next to them without a huge impact.
-The tv is crt, so actually as bulky as illustrated. I also have two freestanding speakers that are not on the floorplan.
-My cats sometimes vomit hairballs from their cat tree, so respectably distance of any tables, electronics or couches is preferred.
-I could get rid of the couch, and just put my bed on the floor and have it double as a couch. However, I lose the ability to host guests (I can fit on this couch), and I lose floorspace where I could put the drying rack. I also risk my bed becoming the everything place.
Argument for 1st floorplan: good separation of spaces. The sewing machines are not used daily, so it's fine if they are in the bedroom. I can fit the drying rack under the bed without much obstruction.
Argument for 2nd floorplan: same but different.
Argument for 3rd floorplan: maximum space in the livingroom (I can actually dance a little bit, and maybe have friends over). But if I am using the computer, I'm basically in the bedroom. And it's a hassle to stream to the tv from my pc. I have enough room to invite friends over, but the desk is in the wrong room so boardgame night is not happening (and having another table there defeats the point).
Argument for 4th floorplan: provided I figure out some way to install renter-friendly doors, this could be a viable option. It honestly relieves some anxiety I have about this apartment. But the doors are a very big if.
Argument for 5th floorplan: same as 4th, but the computer desk is now in the living room, and the bookshelf in the bedroom. This kind of separates the space into a storage and an active place. Not too keen on the bookshelf being in the bedroom, I would prefer it to be easily accessible from the couch.

I am moving into a tiny space. This is my living room area I am probably only going to be able to fit a two seater sofa. Should I put it by the door? or opposite wall? I am probably going to put a tall plant on the opposite side of the door to separate the space a little but regardless, which side should my little sofa go. Im going to do like an art wall above the sofa as well. I would put a tv or maybe movie projector on the opposite side. Thank you!

Hey everyone! So i've committed a feng shui crime already by placing my bed with my foot facing the door. So I'm left with 2 options.
Option 1: Rearrange my bed so its back is facing the wall to the left of the door, so now I will be facing the wall with the radiator, and the door to my right when I lay down. I can put a bedside table to the right of my bed. The caveat though is that on the other side of this wall is a busy hallway where a lot of my roommates go in and out leading to the entrance of this house.
Option 2: Have the back of my bed in line with the wall with the radiator. This isn't ideal since I'll be blocking the radiator when it turns on in the evening. I don't want to buy a cover for the radiator either as I don't think this position will be worth it.
Or Option 3: Should I keep the bed as is, and instead do preventative measures like hanging a crystal in between my bed and the door, and getting a foot-board at the bottom of my bed?
I also have a small desk facing the window, and I like the sense of extra space Option 3 gives me.. but let me know your thoughts

Hi friends! Following the following star feng shui chart I get a 130 degree reading facing and my home is period 9.
From what I’ve read SW is the theft corner, my cash box/money jar was there and I surprisingly manifested money. However I moved it to the center of my layout after reading all of the flying star recommendations. What is the actual recommendation for money corner for period 9 SE2? Is it the NE, E, SE? I haven’t been able to find a solid recommendation. I have a 2 story apartment and the center is under the staircase so I’m wondering if it should be moved upstairs instead? Some info I read said upstairs is secondary and isn’t the main energy of the home. The SE is my entryway btw but E and NE have some space to rearrange to put it there. I have a Jupiter cash box, money jar I did earlier and blue/black/silver crystals since these colors and metal were recommended for this years energies.
I was also wondering if all wood should be avoided this year? I have wood utensils and cutting boards in my kitchen which is in the S, so I can hide them if needed. In SW is a window where my cash boxes were previously, now there are black and blue crystals and quartz. My full sized lamps are also a fake wood/tree look, one is in the SW and one in NW now. Should these be moved?
Thank you and apologies on the long post!
Thank you!

Uhh can i get some advice? So i always feel weird with how the desk is in front of my bed. But when I told my boyfriend that i want to move the desk to the wall beside it (behind the chair), he says that the feng shui will be bad because later on, the chair will be facing away from the door.
But as of right now, the chair back is against the window and my bed. Also when i try to move the chair away, it will push against the glass table beside my bed. My brother told me to put the desk like that because the bed is two parts, I never use the bed below tho, so far i only use the drawer. Hence why I think it's okay for me to move the bed, if not my boyfriend's words regarding the feng shui.
I'm confused about what to move, i can't move anything out of my room. Also my room always seems darker than the hallway. I know the room placement seems weird but it's not me that makes the room design. So far i can only move the desk (and maybe the display shelves). Sorry for the bad english, it's not my first language. Thank you if anyone willing to help

We have lived in this house for 4 years. Since then, our career and finances have felt stagnant, as if they're being anchored. I had the Feng shui (minimally) for the bedroom, entrance, and water in front of the house.
Based on this image, do you have opinion to figure whether it's causing the stagnation? I’ll try to create the manual rooms blueprint if needed. Thanks.

The most overlook of Feng Shui basic is clutter and stagnant space. It is likely that we simply get used to our own environment, so seeing the clutter, holding on old stuff, unorganizsed thing around became a norm in daily life. It became invisible to our own eyes.
Especially for those of us with children or pets, or busy households, having stuff here, there, and perhaps everywhere is completely normal and often unavoidable.
In Classical Feng Shui, the Form comes first and Formula second. As Feng Shui is ultimately about how Qi (energy) flows and even if classical texts didn't explicitly use the modern word "decluttering," holding onto unused items or letting piles accumulate creates heavy, stuck energy. You can position your bed or desk in the best theoretical direction, but if the physical space around it is clogged with a lot of stuff, the good energy simply cannot circulate freely. I think this is one of the basic where many people overlooked.
If you feel like your energy, momentum, or life feels a bit stuck, try starting with the physical basics: clear out what isn't being used, free up floor space, and let the air and light move through. You might be surprised at how quickly the "vibe" shifts before you even touch a formula!
Would love to hear how clearing physical space has impacted the energy in your own home

First year college student, just recently moved into my brother's condo where I spent the first few weeks in the layout on the left.
Ever since some of the stuff has been moved out and replaced into this new layout(layout on the right) It's been harder for me to lock in and study for upcoming exams, quizzes, etc. I used to be able to study for 4+ straight hours in the old layout, but now it's been harder to even get out of bed to start working, and continue working without jumping back into bed after an hour of studying, so I've been thinking to have the bed and work area be more separated.
I don't wanna completely blame the layout for the shift in energy towards my studies, but I might as well ask the people of the internet how I can make my space more conducive to studying before I go out and spend $$ towards finishing furnishing my condo.

moving to a new space soon and curious what the best layout for my living room would be. there is a bedroom door behind the brick wall and W/D in front of it. off to the left of the living room is the kitchen. to the left of the entryway (where the photo is taken from) is the door to the bathroom. this is my first apartment with my partner and i just want it to feel light and cozy and inviting. any tips appreciated!!!

Hello, help me figure out the best layout for my living / dining and home office - they are all in the same room (as I don't want to work from my bedroom).
First picture is my current layout, desk is right in front of my door and I have my back to the room.
Then pics 2 and 3 are my proposed layout with the desk in the command position but I'm worried it might feel crammed.
Everything is to scale. The windows in the programme are not exactlt right but on my drawing they are. All are floor-to-ceiling windows. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

me and my son share a room and we have both been sleepy poorly for the past six months or so. our heads are facing south. i can't really move the beds as this is the only way both fit in the room. is there anything we can do?
on the side where i'm standing there are two built in cupboards where we keep our clothes and storage, so i can't put anything against that side of the room.

Objects in pictures are real size, not estimates
Picture 1 - my current living room for context (i just moved to a bigger apartment, finally room to actually get furniture, so it is very bare for now). My desk is huge for now, its a dining table
Picture 2 - The planned layout once we get a tv stand (on the left) and my gf moves in next year (also i reduced the size of my table to a "normal" desktop size)
Picture 3 - Recently ive been trying to learn about feng shui and realised my desktop was probably in a pretty bad position with my back facing both walls, should i do something like this instead with the desktop flipped?
Picture 4 - With the current lack of furniture i feel like solution from pic 3 makes the space look extra awkward somehow at least from the top down view..
Any ideas for what to do with the space? its 3.5m x 5.7m. Overall the struggle is getting two heavy duty pc users in the same space so two desktop setups with a couple of monitors, without making the room feel like a weird hackers den. gf also wants a tv so thats one screen more, we both obviously want it to be cozy and feel like home

Hi yall I’m new here. I’m moving this week and trying to figure out a base layout for my new room and wondering if anyone could help me out.

I’m curious if anyone has insights about why I can’t get a good nights sleep since I rearranged the furniture in my bedroom? The head of my bed is against the West wall. I’m super restless all night and am waking up every hour or two. Before moving things around I was sleeping well. (PS, if it matters, the walls are currently bare because I’m going to paint soon)
EDIT thanks for the responses that have come through already! I suspected it may have something to do with putting my bed underneath the big beam. Did not consider the mirror situation though. This is the third furniture arrangement I’ve tried since living there. First had my bed centered in the room, then it was against the window wall. I slept fine with those configurations. I also recently had to store stuff underneath my bed when I moved it to where it is now … it was empty underneath before! I needed a change, but seems like I might have to put things back the way they used to be if I want to get any sleep 🙃

I moved into this room about a month ago and I am still getting furniture slowly. I modelled the furniture as best as I could using the Ikea design tool.
Points to note:
My concern here is the layout. I like where I have my bed and desk. I study a lot so having natural light by the window is great. I am open to swapping out my nightstand if needed, but my bed in the orientation it is in now will never be against the window wall due to the heater being in the way.
I am unsure what furniture pieces to buy for the desk wall. I am considering a shelving unit or a large bookcase to add height and dimension. I was also considering getting a shelving unit divider between the bed and the couch or using the wardrobe as a divider, but then I am worried about the light from the windows not travelling to the couch.
Last but not least, this is my first time furnishing a room and any advice and feedback is welcome.

so, we moved in a year ago and now want to start planning out the living room but I feel like there is so much empty space here. Ihave my desk in the living room since I wfh a few times a week and its easier to keep an eye on my daughter when Ido wfh those days. I have the tv mounted on the wall on top of the white tv stand with an adjustable mount.
the doorway that is on the top right 3'7" is a door way that leads to the door and bathroom.
here is the link to my design if anyone wants to take a shot at fixing it https://www.ikea.com/us/en/home-design/room/#e8fda371-d4b4-4fa2-b036-23c48185d71e/996eac47-d271-461d-90aa-64b7ef22089b

I hope this diagram makes sense. This is how ive had my studio apartment set up but i am kind of tired of it. I also just ordered two curtains that i can put up around my bed for more separation too so i dont know how that might change the space. Is this the optimal layout or can i do anything different? Not pictured is a rug i have in the living room part, and another small side table. There is molding that separates each half of the room in a nice way

I’m a college student and I just moved into my new apartment. It’s a cute, very bright and airy house and i felt it had positive energy . it also has a nice bright balcony:
the only issue i had is the back of the couch faces the door. It’s not directly in line of the door, the entrance is clear but it sits to the side of it. This sort of made me uneasy and i fell down a whole feng shui rabbit hole and now im a bit stressed.
The house also has a broken toilet lid, which I’m getting fixed up soon. The bedroom is a loft style bed room so it’s just my sleeping space. There’s also a mirrored closet in front of the bed- it doesn’t bother me cus I can’t rly see my reflection it when I’m asleep but it’s directly in front. The apt is also on the last floor of the building and it’s up an extremely narrow dark and steep staircase. But the house itself is super sunny with lots of windows and light
How serious are these issues? I’m only going to be staying in this house for 8 months. I don’t know much abt feng shui but i rly believe in cultivating good energy in your living space and I wanna know if these things are really that bad and how to fix them

This a pretty rough drawing of the layout of my bedroom including measurements I want to improve the layout of my room and add a set of drawers (replacing the cupboard) my wardrobe is built in with mirror sliding doors one option was to put the tv in the wardrobe and turn my bed so it face the wardrobe however my current tv is too big to fit inside and the other door is currently awkward to access due to my desk any help would be amazing as I’ve been absolutely lost on what to do with the room for years

I'm moving in a month to a studio apt and haven't bought any furniture yet because I'm stuck on where everything should go. This is what I came up with.
Some things to keep in mind: The door by the bed is a hallway that has the kitchen, closet, and washing machines. The door by the couch leads to the balcony and below the window there's an ac unit.
Here's the link to the Ikea home design I'm using if anyone wants to take a stab at it.

I'll appreciate any thoughts :)
