I know it can feel demeaning sometimes to have dedicated “women’s history month” etc. but the reason we need these things is because we are not taught about women’s history by default, and our society automatically undermines or reattributes women’s contributions.

It’s not even a thing of new time- before it was just stolen often by either relatives or their own husbands. This goes through all levels. Do you know how many artist and writers there were that stopped working claiming they couldn’t due to grief anymore because their wife died? Women have always been a diving force. Without women who wouldn’t even have been to the moon.

I really enjoy a podcast called the history chicks that cover stories of lots of women in history, Ada Lovelace’s story is one of them! Highly recommend it!
