Just wanted give some praise to Ashley Zukerman and Gillian Jacobs acting when Ziggy and Nick first see each other again in the Mall! The way his facial expression shifts when he realizes it's Ziggy standing there and how in the few seconds they look at each other they're able to convey so many emotions with their eyes. Not much screentime together, but they sold the emotions of hurt and longing til he gets carried 😂.

I'm rewatching the trilogy while recovering from surgery and particularly interested in the conversation in which Nick confides in Ziggy about the "huge burden" getting dropped on him and the statement of "what if that's not who I want to be?" What do you think would be the alternative timeline of events if he'd admitted about writing down Tommy's name, possibly even asked for help mitigating or reversing things? (If anyone knows of any fanfics out there on AO3 or wherever regarding this comcept, I'll happily take the recommendations!)
Also, did we ever find out how his father died? His father seems to have presumably died rather young, if he had teenage kids, couldn't have been any older than middle aged.

What an absolute dogshit ending. Seriously disappointed in what was an otherwise entertaining read.

I just finished rewatching these movies, and seeing characters we grew to love like Simon and Cindy die because of the curse is really sad, but after watching the third movie again I really paid attention to what Solomon said.
He said every few years, he exchanges the soul of a person for whatever the heck he wants (power, adoration, etc.)
And that made me think, every single person on that wall has had their soul given to the devil without them knowing, then had where their soul used to be replaced with the devil itself.
So these innocent (seemingly nice) people get their soul stolen from them, are doomed to hell for eternity, and their bodies are then used as puppets to kill their neighbors and loved ones.
I mean, thinking of the first one, Cyrus Miller, from the little we got to see of him, he seemed pretty nice. He was playful with the children and Hannah and her mom seemed really worried when he started acting weird, so I assume he was a good dad and husband.
Then the three teenagers, Ryan, Ruby, and Tommy. Ryan seemed like a nice enough chill dude, Ruby had dreams of becoming a singer, and Tommy, was sweet and kind and really loved Cindy and the kids at the camp.
And bro, which Goode decided to doom a CHILD to eternal damnation and to turn his soulless body into a killing machine?? Wtf did he have against this kid ðŸ˜. The way he spits out his last name is wild he was beefing with an 8 year old.
Also i feel like Satan was playing around with them, making them kill the people they seemed to really love and care for.
Cyrus - The children
Ryan - his best friend
Ruby - her friends and boyfriend
Tommy - The kids, his coworkers, and Cindy
But yeah tldr, the fates of all the killers are really grim. All the ones we get to know about seemed to be nice, good people. And to know they got their souls snatched by Satan themselves by no will of their own and their bodies were used to kill the people they really cared about is really sad to me.

...is so good. I'm rereading Fear Street lately and I decided to run down the original Fear Street Saga, I forgot how good these books were. Well, I only just finished reading through the Betrayal, I'm going to run through The Secret later on today, but still really good books. I feel like they may be better written than the regular series books.
Also, I lowkey wish they had made the Fear Street movies about these books. I loved the Netflix movies, I think they are really well done. But the original Saga would be such a fun story to see played out on screen.
Anyway, after the Sage I think I'll hit up Cheerleaders. That was my second favorite trilogy. It's fun getting back into these. I still have most of my old books all the eay back from the 90s, but I haven't read them probably since then. This is so nostalgic.

Found this copy on eBay for $50, opposed to the few other copies for $200. Had to JUMP on this! The Silent Night trilogy is an absolute staple of this series and I had to have this collectors edition on my shelf.
My ONLY complaint is that I don’t like how the front cover doesn’t cover the full book. After cross-referencing other copies online, this seems to be a constant. Unfortunately.

set in the universe of the Netflix Fear Street trilogy. Since it looks like they're not interested in doing movies directly related anymore, I'd love to read about the stories of the past Shadyside killers like Ruby or the Milkman in detail. Or maybe about like Nick Goode's story from when his father told him about the packt and why he picked Tommy as the killer.

Okay so I've rewatched these movies countless times, and I'm still really confused about why there's only 6 killers who come back to life to kill whoever bled on the hand.
In 1978, we see all the names on the wall of every person the Goode family has chosen to sacrifice, yet we only see the 6 killers come from the heart.
Obviously if they had every single person come back, it'd be way too hard to follow, and the story would also just end pretty quickly with Shadyside basically demolished ðŸ˜
But I was just curious if there was any actual plot point with to do with it.
