Is there a difference?

In static shots it varies depending on the scene. On areas like Dathomir the difference between DLAA/TAA is not easily noticeable. In the ship interior, however, DLAA is able to restore a lot of the lighting/particle detail that's lost with TAA. I've included some examples in the mod page.
The biggest improvement I noticed was clarity in motion while moving the camera. Much better than when playing with TAA, in my experience at least.

I can see difference very clearly . Just look at the thin details of tower in 2nd pic . In TAA it's a mess . In DLAA very crispy and fine details . And we have DLSS too so + + . DLSS 4 and 4.5 quality is also better than TAA native img

Barely. I could only notice some super thin extra spikes going up in the first comparison, and the zip line not having some glare in the second comparison. That was it.

Given how many complaints I saw about TAA having ghosting from previous frames, it seems like a video would be much better to showcase the improvements of going from TAA do DLAA, this Digital Foundry video explains that: https://youtu.be/WG8w9Yg5B3g?t=950

Is this supposed to be a criticism?

It appears I have a misunderstanding of what DLSS does

Maybe confusing it with with DLSS 5, which would be a transformative change in the way the image looks rather than improvement of stability and fine detail with DLSS 4.

Geniuenely they did insane brand damage to dlss with dlss5. Its geniuenely good anti aliasing, and really solid upscaling, but now its associated with The Slopfilter

Normal DLSS renders at lower resolution and upscales it to the native with almost indistinguishable to native and sometimes even better quality. And since you are upscaling from lower resolution the main GPU core can make more frames with the remaining power .

Not much difference here apart from the rope and foliage in the third pic, but still doing what the devs are too lazy to do, so well done

Nice work on the jaggies and that distant antenna installation looks noticably better. How's the hit on performance with DLAA?

Man, talk about a game that doesn't need it, lol.

How so? Fallen Order is horribly optimised. DLSS would help it run better while maintaining image quality.

Its not horribly optimized. Survivor is/was. FO'll run on a Deck at 720p Medium, it doesn't need DLSS.

I can think of plenty of games that will run well on the deck at 720p but that's neither here nor there, because running a game at 720p generally isn't going to require using DLSS. Fallen Order is filled with hitching and stutter and trying to run the game at higher resolutions, even on modern systems, provides disappointing returns.

Er. No its not.
Seriously when was the last time you played this? It's not hitching or stuttery on any platform I've ever played it on.
It wouldn't hit those levels and run smoothly on deck and it...absolutely does?
You're either badly outdated on information or thinking of launch-era Survivor.

Thanku Thanku Thanku . I just completed Survivor and wanted to revisit Fallen Order with DLSS 5 . With DLSS support it will be a breeze on 5090 with pre pass ( applying DLSS 5 before upscaling )

People here clearly don't know what dlss does, it's SUPPOSED TO look the same, and it does
