Discussion How do you arrange your controller buttons?

Post image

I got a new controller with 4 back buttons and found this to be the most comfortable setting for me:
Bottom left & right = left and right bumpers respectively.
Top left = healing.
Top right = interact.

That made the game so much more comfortable to play!

P.S. no affiliation with the company. Just a recommendation on buttons arrangement :)

I didn’t even think of changing the default button and I always regret that healing is misplaced 😭

I know! I find several buttons not ideal, but with a good controller with back buttons, it becomes so much better!

(Playstation) ever since FOR I've been reversing the right and left directional buttons, because I preferred the double lightsaber, so I just continued reversing those buttons in Survivor as well.

I have a vague recollection of changing something, but mostly I use the back buttons because I hate pressing the Steam Deck sticks

I use the Flydigi Apex 4 and have mapped the two back buttons to the L3 and R3 functions, since I could never get used to moving the stick and pressing it at the same time. Everything else is default.

top left to Y, bottom left to B, top right to X and bottom right to A

Really? Wow, never seen that before! I have to admit, I was on the fence between Healing and Dodge, so B was an option, but I found it easier to use the letters than the arrow-pad so I decided on healing.

I never even considered mapping heal tbh, I've used this mapping since I first played Fallen Order and carried it over to Survivor. Don't think I could change now!
