I haven't used FB Marketplace much. A couple things over the past few years. But in the last couple weeks, I've been looking for some shelves. I've found a number of them, sent a message, no response. I just counted, I have messages out to 10 different people. Some of them are people I messaged two weeks ago, and figured I would give it another shot, because their stuff ain't selling.

Now, if most of my messages got no response, I would just think, "Well, people aren't responsive, I guess." But I mean zero. Not one. Am I being flagged as a bot, or spam? I've had this FB account for a long time, but I haven't posted, responded, or reacted to a single thing in about 10 years. Is it my messages? I usually say something like, "Hey, are these shelves still available? I could come pick them up later today?"

I just received a message from a buyer informing me that an item I shipped through Facebook Marketplace arrived broken. I made sure the item was carefully packaged and placed several fragile stickers on the box. Even my local USPS office marked the package as containing glass, but unfortunately, the item still arrived damaged.
I’ve sold on eBay for years, but this is my first time dealing with a damaged item through Facebook Marketplace. I used the prepaid shipping label provided by Marketplace, so I’m unsure how to proceed.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Do I file a claim with USPS, or does Facebook Marketplace handle this since I used their shipping label? I’d appreciate any guidance on what steps I should take next. Thanks

An older lady bought a card i was selling and wanted it shipped to az from pa. A few days go by and she issued a chargeback about a day after i created the shipping label. I couldnt get hold of her at all during the whole process which is why i waited to ship it out until she answered or seen my messages. Not once did she do so. Not sure how to cancel or refund the order.

Seller canceled my order after a price discrepancy, then apparently blocked me. Did I handle this badly?
I found a vintage item on Facebook Marketplace with a Buy It Now price of $8 (probably should have been a clue to proceed with caution, since this item usually goes for way more on places like eBay) It seemed like a great deal in the moment, so I took it at face value, acted on impulse and purchased it. My transaction summary showed $8 for the item, $13.18 shipping, for a total of $22.83.
Only afterward did I notice that the listing’s title said “$65 plus $8 shipping.” I realize I should have read the listing more carefully before buying, but both the Buy It Now price and checkout showed $8.
Before I could ask the seller about the discrepancy, the order was canceled. I messaged her: “Hi, I purchased the item but it was canceled. Is there a reason?”
She asked whether I had paid $65 plus shipping and said she hadn’t sent me a PayPal or Venmo request. I don’t use Marketplace much, so I was confused—I had purchased directly through Facebook’s checkout.
I explained that checkout showed $8 plus shipping and sent a screenshot of my transaction summary. She replied:
“Not what my ad says at all.”
“And you have no FB details at all. It’s an empty account.”
“Title says $65 plus shipping.”
“Did you read that?”
“Of course they are NOT $8.”
My account has posts and profile information, although some of it is private, so I’m not sure what she could see.
I wasn’t asking her to honor the $8 price or demanding that she send the item. I was trying to understand why the listing allowed me to purchase it at that price. Her replies didn’t seem to even acknowledge what my checkout summary showed.
When I tried to send another explanation, it wouldn’t go through, and I could no longer view her personal or seller profile. It appears she blocked me, which tells me she thought I was the scammer.
I understand that she intended to charge $65 and may have been suspicious of my account, but her responses felt unnecessarily harsh. Was my question unreasonable? Should I have handled this differently?

I am selling packs of seeds, and I have multiple packs of the same kind. Some of my older listings from last year have "in stock" listing, and I'm able to update the number of packets I have in stock. My newer listings just say "available". When someone purchases a pack, it then goes to "sold" and I can't sell any more until I relist it. So, it's one at a time. My other listing automaticallly relists as long as there are more in stock. I've googled a fair amount, and I just don't seem to have the menu options available that allow me to choose the type of availability. Has this been discontinued? I've tried on my iPhone and on my PC. THanks for any pointers!

This has happened now two times. I am either buying or selling and we'll coordinate the meeting location, then I'll propose a meeting time such as "Would you be available at 2:00?"

The next message I read is, "Yes" and then "I waited for you for 30 minutes, I'm going to leave now".

People believe that their reply confirms the meeting time with no additional finalization like, "Okay, 2 it is. See you there".

I have a Facebook account on a good phone that I want to replace because it's slow and the battery barely lasts, but I have an account there that posts on Marketplace.No problem, I'll open the account on that new device. I'm planning to buy a tablet to put that account on.But I don't want it to block me or for Facebook to ask me for my ID.

When you log on to Facebook, there are multiple icons at the bottom of the screen. A home icon is far left, and next to it is a marketplace icon.

For the past few days, my marketplace icon has had the number one, in a red circle, at the top. But when I tap the icon and open marketplace, there’s no indication of what the “1” represents. I understand it’s some kind of alert, but I have no idea how to figure out what it’s alerting me to. Can anyone explain?

Has anybody else gotten repeated notifications for the same message on marketplace? If someone texts me on through marketplace, even if Ive already went onto the chat and seen it, itll send me like 10 seperate notifications for the message and its getting super annoying. Is there a reason for this and can I turn it off at all? It doesn't happen when someone texts me on just regular fb messenger, only marketplace.

If I put my listings on vacation, what do buyers see?
Does it tell them I am away?
Can they even see my listings?
What about selling groups? Does it hide those?

Hi all, I buy and sell on multiple FB Marketplace groups and I'm sure you've also noticed you can't snooze them anymore. I went to each of them and changed the preferences to no notifications and turned off the only other notification tab on there. Did FB bury the snooze or do away with it. Thanks!

I can’t seem to do anything except print a shipping label which is a problem because I don’t have a printer. If I go to generate label and change label it only always me to change the size of the label to print. My boyfriend was able to do a QR code to send something. Is the QR code on the buyers side? I was only using QR codes in the past and now they’re unavailable. Anyone have any insight?

I sold an item through Facebook Marketplace using the USPS shipping label provided throught the Marketplace order.

USPS apparently missed the initial acceptance scan, but the package traveled successfully through the USPS system and was delivered.

The problem is Facebook still shows only "shipping label created" and my payout is stuck at "pending delivery."

Has anyone found a work around to cancel an order once its paid for? I was able to in the past, but it is not letting me or the buyer cancel today.

Since Sunday I haven't been able to print labels. My customers are getting really frustrated. Any ideas? I've tried uninstalling, using a different browser, app, and nothing.

I will be moving to Canada from Europe. I was told that in the city i am moving into, Facebook Marketplace is very common to find apartments and lease transfers.

But whenever I try to message an apartment of interest, Facebook blocks me from sending a message by telling me that my location is too far away.

Has anyone encountered the same problem and maybe knows an easy fix?

Facebook won’t let me use my own shipping label but the label they have for fragrances as wrong as there is no way for the label to indicate it is hazmat. How do you get Facebook to print the right shipping label for you? It won’t even show me the shipping address of the buyer and it’s forcing me to use Facebook’s incorrect shipping label. post office keeps saying you need to talk to Facebook so I’m going around in circles.

Today I sold two items through fb shipping. These items were initially sent offers, but I declined and sent them counteroffers. They end up buying my item, but the problem is that they’re paying the full price instead of the price that I countered with. I’ve had this happen one time and the buyer complained about it, but I’m unsure what to do currently because this will affect my shipping rate percentages if I were to cancel. I also haven’t heard any complaints yet. Anyone else had this happen before?

Edit: I didn’t specify, but when I got the first complaint the buyer was aware that they ended up paying full price and not the discounted price. They assumed I pulled a little scheme on them and wanted me to fix it.

This is happening on Mobile & desktop. Cleared cookies and cache, tried different devices.

I have no idea what community or communication could help me.

I rely on this for my income in a lot of ways and I don’t know how to hurdle these constant issues that seem to be happening to me.

Does anyone have any way that has worked for them in order to get help on Facebook marketplace?

I’m relatively new to selling and have had two different buyers message me after purchase to say they realized their address is incorrect. Both times, I’ve canceled their orders and told them they can rebuy with their correct address, and both times they have - all good, 5 star reviews afterward.

Facebook is counting these against my on-time shipping rate even after I appealed them with screenshots showing the buyers messaging me. Fb says they reviewed the orders and decided they still count against me.

I’m really annoyed and trying my best to play by the rules - how is everyone else handling this when it happens to you?

I'm having an issue with the Facebook Marketplace review/rating system, and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

When I try to rate a buyer or seller on Marketplace, I click on "Give a review" / "Évaluer", but instead of opening the review form, Facebook redirects me to the main Facebook homepage.

The same issue happened to one of my clients. He tried to leave me a rating after our transaction, but he also got redirected to the Facebook homepage and couldn't submit his review.

The problem happens with different people, not just one specific transaction.

Here are some details:

- Platform: Android

- App: Facebook / Messenger

- Issue: Marketplace review button redirects to Facebook homepage

- Unable to leave ratings for buyers or sellers

i just received $9.90 from a paypal account with my real name. i have that exact amount pending for payout via marketplace, but it says "no payout history." is it actually my marketplace payout, or is this the start of a scam?

I have been selling used items for years once a week. The thing is I changed my name to my nickname last year because of privacy. Now suddenly FaceBook is asking me to send in my ID for verification. My question is: Does it matter if my state ID name doesn't match my FaceBook Marketplace name?

If the name must match, can I change my Facebook name back to original real name before I submit my state ID for verification?

When I click to try and review them it takes me to Facebook homepage. It shows they left the conversation but I can still see their marketplace seller profile and regular profile. I don't see a review on my account yet but from googling it looks like it could take 14 days or I may not be able to see it at all. If I create another account will I be able to see all my reviews? I feel like this guy gave me a bad review because I wouldn't accept his low-ball offer.

Item I shipped was returned to me because USPS was unable to deliver to the buyer's address. Any recommendations regarding next steps? Marketplace shows the items as "out for delivery". Buyer acknowledges that their address in Marketplace was not correct and has since corrected it. I'd like to make this sale, but not sure how to close out the current order.
