How long does it take for class availability?

How long does it take for class availability? Is there a maximum time that they need to enroll you? Or just need to wait. I am on FLVS Flex and hope to finish by May.

Science Help

what is the easiest science class I can take with minimum DBA's really easy to get done with quick and not that much labs or writing assignments. I'm trying to knock out my science credit as soon as possible and I don't want a super hard class, but it has to be honors and I've already taken environmental science honors and marine science honors

Intermediate Programming V. Foundations of Programming (Can someone skip Foundations of Programming?)

So there aren't any prerequisites for Intermediate Programming in FLVS, and I've heard that Foundations of Programming is pretty easy and quick to finish. I'm pretty decent at self-teaching myself, and I have some minimal coding experience from a middle school class using Game Lab in Code.org. Do you think it'd be possible for me to skip straight to Intermediate Programming? How hard is it?

Thanks.

HS Spanish in the summer

I am looking to have my current 8th grade take High School Spanish in the summer of 2027, once he finishes 8th grade. Can anyone share the process they had to go through to register? The only thing I was told is that it has to be after he finishes 8th grade. Has anyone finished the entire course in one summer? I plan to have him work on a set schedule to get it done, but want to be sure that's doable. I appreciate the info so I can plan ahead.

Hello does anyone know if it is possible to lock a device onto the FLVS website? It doesn’t seem to work using Screentime’s restrictions. Is there any other way?

EOC Help

Im hoping to switch from flex to fulltime for my second semester of my senior year, and am ensuring I meet hte requirements prior to applying this upcoming block. I already meet the requirements regarding core courses, im just finishing up two electives to hit that 18 mark before to apply as an incoming senior hoping for the second semester (Yes I know i need to finish 21 total credits before the december break and I am working towards that) but is there some discrepancies I need to know, because I never took an EOC Before because I used to go abroad most of the time and am coming back to Florida just for this semester if I get accepted, so I wanna confirm everything I need to have done by that point and hopefully ill be fine.

Im a homeschool student so it has a weird policy regarding homeschool students saying something like "Homeschoolers without eoc's may get some sort of screener assesment or smth," but the thing is.

I got 3/3 Math credits (hopefully will have finished first seg precalc) You need 4 total in HS
I got 3.5/3 English Credits (I finished the first seg of english 4 early) You need 4 total in HS
I got 3/3 Science Credits (I did that a while ago) You need 3 total in HS
I got 2/3 History Credits done (I hopefully will have gov or ap gov finished by then) you need 3 in highschool total but I plan to take AP micro or macro once I get to full time

Hope is complete = 1 elective

Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 Seg 1 are complete (will complete seg 2 soon before full time)

Havent done money management but I wanna do it before full time so ill probs sign up monday

And I think I got about 16 elective credits but am about to take two mod exams so 16.5 in a few hours and 17 total by monday, with me finishing 19.5 credits by monday the 26th (I have to make up some courses, and they are mostly just electives rn, and im going decently fast) so don't mind that

And I got a concordant SAT score to satisfy Algebra 1 EOC, ELA fast, and SUPPOSEDLY the Geometry EOC as my consuleor said that the Geometry EOC was made just as a way for students who failed the Algebra 1 eoc to satify that requirement so you can graduate.

can anyone tell me if I need smth else

I'm kinda enjoying FLVS now...

Its so weird, like last year I absolutely hated it, from the boring modules, to assignments that you have the urge to use AI, and dont get me started with DBA's. I was in 10th grade last year and I hated World History, it was full of boring keywords and major "catastrophic events" that I didn't wanna know!! And Oh my gush was I confused on how to learn Algebra 1 by myself (I didn't wanna disturb my teacher with questions I can just easily ask AI). It was not a great year for me, but I've come to realize its not the subjects that made the year horrible, it was the way I reacted towards it. This year I'm taking US history and I expected it to be boring just as last year, or worse bc OFC its just the US not the WORLD. But I changed my mindset completely, instead of seeing it as pages full of paragraphs, I saw it as a story, drama, reasons how we're here and people's mistakes and accomplishments. That technique of mine completely changed everything, because I not only was able to memorize key historical figures, I could remember dates, and locations (only for a short while, I have bad memory) because I found the material so interesting..I have a 100% on both of my first two DBA's and I'm sooo proud of myself!! This is how I did it : I first read a page and reread some sentences I missed and search up words I am not familiar of. After, I talk out loud by myself explaining what I learned as if I were the teacher explaining the lesson, then I write down important people, inventions, or whatever relevant info that was on the page on my notebook. And repeat on the next page. This takes me atleast 1 and a half to 2 hours of studying as I sometimes zone out but I just wanted to share this with you guys (even though Ik this subreddit is kinda dead.) I'm actaully hating Geometry right now, only because my brain is not wired for that but If you guys had a situation just like mine, what was it and how did you solve it? Hope this helps!

Turnitin score of 79%

Okay, so I got a Turnitin score of 79 in U.S History. However, when I click on the percentage for the Turnitin report, it flags mostly the template and only a few words from my writing. Am I fine?

EOC?

I forgot what my consuelor said, but I remember I have done many courses that have its own EOC, but I am transferring to Full time from flex this year, and all I have is a concordant SAT score for the algebra 1/geometry eoc and the fast ELA one, for my other courses like us history, is there gonna be a problem, because I am frequently abroad and thats whats prevented me in the past from doing EOC's, I even had to do my SAT's when I was in Turkey just to get a concordant score for the main two, I know regulations for inbound homeschool students are different so I just want to know.

Also just a random question of opinion, If I really could, do yall think I could grind AP government in like 3 weeks.

Someone please answer asap I am rushing through semester 2 rn before november 6th comes and I dont think im gonna get all 6 courses done in time if thats the case

NEED QUICK ADVICE ON AP PRECALC (Like within 1 hour quick, please 2-3 responses)

I HAVE AN OPTION FOR AP PRECALC OR PRECALC HONORS, I PERSONALLY NEED TO TAKE THE ONE WHERE I CAN GARUNTEE A 97-100 PERCENT

KNOW I HAVE GOTTEN 97-100 IN Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry, (All of which were honors) I am already in AP Precalc and am nearing the end of my grace period deadline, and my grade is a 95, but this is only after I took a module test, as I got most mod 1 things done with 100% besdies 1 test where I got a 90%, my grade was a 98%, but I got 40/50 points on the DBA and my grade went to a whopping 92% and only after doing the part 1 test of the module exam did I get it to a 94.5, I have the option rn to leave without it staining my record, and I only have 3 weeks to do either the first segment of AP or honors, and I have already completed the other 3 math courses within 1 month each, so I know I am capable, do you think switching to honors would better my chances at maintaing over a 95%?

Aditionally my teacher seems nice, but she also seems a little stingent, and I know that the teachers in honors courses are just regular teachers who get regular students as well and I believe gives less of a standard for honors students, but I am not too sure, I would appreciate any and all help rn.

Also can anybody tell me if Precalc honors has written assignments like in geometry? AP precalc does not, just the written essay questions, and if precalc honors does, is the course overall easy, and can I do said written assignments on live lessons for full credit like in geometry, and how many exams are there each module, I know there is 4 instead of 3 but if they are somewhat shorter modules I dont mind because AP precalc has 10 assignments or smth like that per module.

Do you think i should stay, I am compelled to switch based on my factors of.

  1. Colleges not really distrincting between the two unless you take the ap exam (which i can sign up for independently anyways) and the courses are weighed similar.
  2. Its supossedly easier
  3. I have to do it in the minimum seat time of 2 weeks, and I have proven I can do that in multiple honors courses.

I just wanna take the easier one honestly that can keep my chances of a 95-100 as strong as possible, aditionally note that my AP Precalc teacher saying that the course actually gets harder in seg 2 around mod 5-6, so I would like your overall opinion. Also once I leave AP, I can't come back because the signup deadline ended sep 29.

What is the parent evaluation?

My mom keeps bringing up how she has an evaluation this month, and hasn't explained any further. I have googled "flvs parental evaluation" multiple times, but nothing has came up. Does anyone know if their parent has done something similar? If so, can someone explain what it is and what happens during the evaluation?

Are my classes good for 12th grade?

Im taking math for college algebra, english4, us history, physics, (digital art idk the name exactly), and HOPE.
Is MCA not a good 4th year class? I’m starting to feel unsure abt it, I’m already on segment 2 (after 4weeks) and it feels easy but that scares me cuz now I hear ppl recommending pre calculus.
Idk what I wanna study or do in the future so I was trying to get the most normal classes and thought pre calculus wasn’t a option since it said honors.

Should I wait to finish one of my current 6 classes to add pre calculus? Il have to get another class anyway for credit.

I’m homeschooled and doing flex so I know I won’t rlly get a diploma or anything aside from like a signed paper from my mom saying I did school, but I feel like what classes I take still matter.

I’m not really a super smart person soak tho I get As and stuff I still think honors sounds like it will be rlly hard. And I want to finish school in 2027 on time for college applications n stuff (idk what I’m doing)
