So me moving to China is bad because I prefer it better than America? Isn’t upvoting and downvoting means contribution and not opinions?

Have people on Reddit always been this mean or has it gotten worse over the last few years?

Ever wondered why your fellow Redditors failed to see the wittiness of your latest advice animal meme? Maybe frustrated with others neglecting to acknowledge the artistry of the Lil Pump song you linked on r/Music? That's where EMD comes in. Guidelines for Posting:

Rule 1 - Follow Reddiquette and the rules of reddit at all times. If you break reddiquette or the basic rules of reddit, your post/comment will be removed and you will be banned.
Rule 2 (comments only)
Do not post here if you have a 0 or -1 score on your comment.
This is not a significant number of downvotes to question why your comment is being downvoted. We consider this spam due to the previous high volume of these posts on our sub. Rule only applies to comments as posts have not been about to go below 0 for over 7 years now.
See this guide for a list of -1 reasons
Rule 3 -Don't be a stubborn turd.
Arguing with the community about what they have told you regarding your previous downvotes will only get you downvoted more.
This sub is for you to understand why you were downvoted, not our personal opinions of your post. Please just understand that we are just here to help explain.
Rule 4 - Don't be a troll
Rule 5 - No posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor.
This subreddit isn't Skype.
Rule 6 - No Harassment (Obviously)
Posts which result in harassment of any individual, subreddit, or other entity may be removed at the moderator's discretion.
Rule 7 - Please link directly to the post/comment that you wish for people to explain the downvotes.
Posting your profile and asking people to explain all of your downvotes ever is boring. Ain't nobody got time for that. NP mode preferred.
Rule 8: No personal information allowed.
This includes a phone number, an address, a name. Posts infringing on this rule will be removed and the poster will be banned.
Rule 9 - Witch hunts will not be tolerated. Neither will vote brigading.
Those infringing on this rule will be banned without warning and reported to the admins of reddit. This sub is to explain why the drama happened - not to create more.

If you do get banned:

Send a polite modmail asking for specifics about your ban. It might be temporary, in which case you should take it as a learning experience and review our rules.
