self promo What do think of my Jungle Rock debut track called "I'm Not Awake"

• Upvotes

Hi guys, I'm Mith and “I’m Not Awake” is my debut single as an independent artist and producer from Mumbai, India. The track began as a rock composition and gradually evolved into a collision of 90s-inspired alternative rock, jungle-influenced breakbeats, heavy bass, distorted guitars and vocals, lush pads, and dark atmospheric textures.

I wrote and produced the track as an intentionally cryptic reflection on an experience from my childhood that has stayed with me. Rather than explaining the story literally, I wanted the music to feel like being caught between memory and reality - restless, disoriented and unable to fully wake up. The track moves between aggressive, high-energy sections and more atmospheric passages before ending in a hazy, dreamlike space.

The production combines live/organic rock elements with chopped breakbeats, bass-heavy electronic production and atmospheric sound design. I wanted the contrast between the rawness of the guitars and vocals and the rhythmic energy of jungle to feel unpredictable rather than genre-pure.

Let me know whether the lyrics made ay sense to you and what do you think of the overall vibe.

Hey everyone! I’m Celeste Noxx. I recently released Plague, a 15-track ambient/drone/experimental album exploring memory, lineage, grief, and what we inherit from the people who came before us.

I’d really like to know what you think about it and some critiques on the production and overall experience of the album 🖤

SHUNNED AUDIO is a collective that focuses on creating and experimenting with dark, gritty, melanholic and loud, often heavily distorted music that is not usually pleasant on the ear when listening for the first few times

self promo Nihilistic Mexican electronics(?)

I'm a guy from a small Mexican town, my project began last year after days of being obsessed with Kleistwahr and Atrax morgue. I just released my new album, which is themed around the evangelical sects that are becoming so popular where I live. I had a lot of fun making it, and I hope you enjoy it, even just a little.

self promo Realizing John Cage's Radio Music with software-defined radio

I recently launched a project I've been thinking about for a long time — a way to realize John Cage's Radio Music (1956) using software-defined radio. Cage wrote Radio Music as a composition for 1 to 8 radios, with a score that consists of tunings across the AM band. My project uses captures of the entire AM radio spectrum to create 8 virtual radios that can perform the piece as if they were under the same sky.

Over time, I’ll be adding more performances from my own captures, as well as those made by others around the world. Sound on, best with headphones. Listen and follow the score as it plays.

discussion Any good artists that might be experimental that would be good for reading?

I'm looking for any artists or albums that might be similar to any of these here (any I bring up here I'm looking at more of their work with less vocals or without busy lyrics) :

OPN

Caretaker

Swans

Yellow Swans

Coil

Mathias Grassow

Earth

Sunn

Basinski

Tim Hecker

Microphones

Would love to get a huge list or just a suggestion of some deep cut artists as alot of these are well known. I've gotten back into reading and alot of these mentioned above really put some color onto the canvas with pretty much any book or story I'm on.

self promo amplified digital piano improvisations

hello all! I posted a couple days ago about an album in progress, with two "acoustic" digital piano improvisations that are sort of outtakes to that project.

Now here are a couple electric ones, for any who are interested! The first track tends a little bit more toward free improv, with influences from metal and noise. The second one is more of a gentle ambient noodle...

https://soteriologyreport.bandcamp.com/album/advance-judgment

These are sort of advance releases from another album I am working on in parallel to the project I discussed in my post the other day. The first will consist of several improvised tracks, moving backward in time from February 2026 -July 2023. The "companion" album will be kind of a mirror image of the first- moving forward in time from February 2026, when I started recording in stereo and playing around with amplification. These two tracks are a taste of the kind of stuff that will be on there! Thanks to anyone who checks them out.

self promo something in the sky - ethereal / experimental mix

Hey everyone, I've recently started a little mix series called 'something in the sky' and wanted to share the first one here https://youtu.be/AHp2NmbitNM?si=oI6Nea668ZUD_Imk . It's a 30min mix of atmospheric, experimental and folkloric sounds. I've been drawn to the contrast between nature, technology and the unknown, and wanted to explore that feeling through music. Recorded this one by the sea. Hope it finds its way to someone who enjoys these kinds of sounds :)

self promo Santoor, synths and electronic drums, improvised live in one take (Buenos Aires)

We're Frame, a duo from Buenos Aires. Guido plays santoor (the hammered dulcimer from Persia and India) and synths, I'm on electronic drums and synths. Nothing is written beforehand: we hit record and play.

This is a bit from our July session. The painting behind us follows the audio, the santoor melody moves the brush strokes and the drum hits set off the rest. On top there's a Stable Diffusion pass running locally, that's where the sumi-e meets Madhubani look comes from.

Gear: Arturia MiniFreak and MicroFreak, Elektron Digitakt II, e-drums.

The full session is on our YouTube channel. Happy to answer anything about the setup.

self promo First experimental track!!

Hello everyone! I’ve been into experimental music for some years now. I have tried making some pop songs in the past, but I was never satisfied with them.
Something bad happened to me lately and it brought back some very traumatic memories. My mental health is really bad right now and I needed an outlet. I recorded myself having a crisis and kind of worked around it. I used a keyboard and GarageBand on my iPad.
Tell me what you think!

self promo Indie band remixing their own song (VIP). Thoughts?

https://youtu.be/Fy_SPIGPMeU

We write and produce our own music and we are a duo really (if that is a band?), but this is our first dark experimental electronic remix of one of the songs.

I would love to hear your thoughts and appreciate anyone listening. If someone wants to compare with the original track (more of an indie rock song) I will share it also
