In the editing stage of an experimental feature-length I've been working on for three years, but but I fear these sessions sometimes because it's not as clear cut as a narrative & I find it more difficult to be decisive, as options often feel endless.

A lot of the editing books I've browsed are a bit too dogmatic for my liking, and really just looking for some inspiration. Been loving 'Essential Brakhage' and 'I Walked Into My Shortcomings' by Ken Jacobs, but they're not exactly edit-focused.

Any recs would be so greatly appreciated! :-)

As the title suggests, I made this video for a submitted song, I feel really good about this video and was wondering what others think and if I did the song justice

I hope you guys would like this, I'm working hard editing these 🙏🏻

I've been doing experimental music for decades, but haven't really tried anything with interesting visuals.

So if anyone has any material that you think has potential, but is lacking something, I'd love to try a bit of sound design on it.

I've no particular commercial interest, tend to do things pretty much public domain, probably happy with whatever T&C you want.

I typically share things via GitHub, eg. https://github.com/danja/attone#attone

Hey fellow filmmakers! 🎬

I'm Don, an independent writer/director, based in Australia and I wanted to share my 5-minute short film, George Street.

Set and shot in the heart of Sydney's CBD, the film captures a story on one of Australia's busiest streets.

We were fortunate to be selected for the Golden State Film Festival, where the film screened at Hollywood's iconic Chinese Theatre.

George Street is now streaming for free on YouTube!

If you enjoy independent cinema and short films, I'd love for you to check it out.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I create experimental music. I have both full, standalone tracks and ambient pieces for ur experimental film. But ofc it goes without saying that I will compose a separate, custom score specifically for u. I have experience in any genre (although I don't really think about them too much).

I'm working solely for my portfolio. DM me

I am a sound designer and mixer looking to work with filmmakers on short films, experimental films, etc. please DM me if you have a sound design requirement.

Hey everyone, I’m a Los Angeles based sound designer / re-recording mixer and I’m looking to connect with some filmmakers who are making fun and interesting stuff.
I’ve worked in post-production sound for TV, documentaries, commercials and film, and I’m looking to do more work with independent filmmakers, especially narrative shorts, weird/experimental stuff, horror, thriller, drama, or anything with a strong visual point of view.
I can help with sound design, SFX, Foley, dialogue cleanup/editing, ambiences and mixing.
If you’re making something you’re genuinely excited about and think sound could help take it to another level, I’d love to hear about it.

If you’re a director, editor, producer, or filmmaker with something you’re working on, feel free to drop a comment or DM me. Would love to see what people are making.

This is a really good movie made by me yesterday

Made this with 8mm footage from Pexels and Internet Archive, tachyons+, statikstamentz, and big pauper glitch gear. Rescan on a CRT.

Hello everyone I'm working on this project, I hope you like it and a little bit of support would mean the world to me.

I’ve been working on this for the last few months, so happy to finally be able to post it!

Let me know what ya think
