In their defence they said they don’t do buttercream and only marzipan. But the colour was supposed to match the print.The edible glitter was a personal touch

This is hilarious 😂 I’m sorry OP. The moment they said they don’t do buttercream would’ve been the moment I looked for another bakery. Who doesn’t do buttercream?

Odd choice for a bakery but I wish they were near me because I also do not like buttercream at all! 😂

Some bakeries offer alternatives to buttercream because it's definitely not everyone's preference. Used to love it as a kid, but as an adult and former baker, I prefer other types of frosting.

What types do you like? I love marzipan/fondant/whipped cream, what others would you suggest?

Ermine frosting is amazing, it's a good alternative to cream cheese frosting if that is too sweet for you. Penuche frosting is made with boiled brown sugar, it's delicious. And Italian and French buttercream are a lot different to the standard American buttercream. Very smooth and light in texture, not overly sweet.

I think I've had French buttercream, it was so much better! Ermine frosting is a cute name, I love those lil critters so that's definitely caught my interest. Thank you for this list! :)
