This reminds me of these Dracula purple cremesicles in the 80's. I hated how they tasted but it didn't matter because the box was cool and I was obsessed with Monster Squad and Ghostbusters. Haha

yeah, the dark parts on these pops (all of them - bluey, spiderman, spongebob etc) are chocolate. the whole thing tastes gross if you ask me but this is the only ice cream I've ever had where chocolate makes it worse somehow

You can still buy those, they're sold from the ice cream truck and not sold in local stores. Some places have those ice cream truck distributors that also sell to the public. We'll they did in solcal

It definitely looks a little goofy, but I’m curious as to what your expectations were to make this a failure in your eyes. Or is this a case where we need a neutral “Met Expectation” flair? Like it doesn’t look EXACTLY like the box so I can agree with not tagging it as “Surprisingly Met Expectation”, but failed just seems a little too critical when it looks so close to what the box advertises

The fun of these things as a kid was seeing just how bad the ice cream looked compared to the picture on the box. That’s actually the closest match I’ve ever seen.
