Cost of Living Retiring in Vietnam
We are a family of 3 with my kid going to kindergarten age. We are not well off but is comfortable right now. But lately, I've been feeling a bit about wanting to taking it easier.
Bit more info: - Mid 30s - 1.1m in stocks (401k, IRAs, and other investments) - Fully paid house worth $800k if sell, or $4k/mo if renting it out.
I know it's not much compared to what I've read in this subreddit lol. But we want to start thinking about whether it's possible.
I had a 5 years visa before as my parents were Vietnamese citizens so I believe I could apply for it again. My parents also have an old house in Saigon, which I guess we could stay or help them fix up.
We could start selling off our regular investment first, and may be sell the house or keep it as a rental.
Anyone done this recently or have been planning? What's your magic number to just call it quit and move?
