He is a 7 year old rescue whose previous owner sadly passed and his family could not keep him.

My previous cat passed away recently, I took it hard and while I was grieving my friend said "maybe he had to go so that there could be space for another cat to feel loved and safe".

He had no trouble settling in at all, in fact it's only been 1.5 weeks since I adopted him 🫶🏼

Will be taking him to my vet on Monday for the first if his regular check ups.

Beku will be 1 year on Christmas eve, I've had him since earlier this year. He will always pee in the box, but never goes number 2 in it! Like almost never. Just turds next to the box. Why?! We've tried so many things.. confining him to a smaller space.. even cat attracting litter.. I think this is why I got him so inexpensively 😅 well. It's fine regardless. But he's so firm on this, I actually don't see the behavior changing. Any tips? I'm fine w it regardless I mean look at that face.

Second thing.. he does a strange vampire like thing to my neck. He needs dough/nurses but only right there under my chin and I push him away hard again and again but he comes right back! Like it's compulsory, he must do it. His little claws hurt me! My poor Beek. He just.. exists.. hes such a happy and contented boy haha. Eerily calm. Doesn't do much of anything, mostly walks around and lays down. Are these 2 things a breed thing or just.. he's odd.. Oh well! 😆 I will still probably only have exotic shorthairs after this as he is just a calming lovely presence, a precious thing. Not like my partners sphynx who is a terror to our home. Sorry for the stupid questions im mostly a dog person.

Milo has lost some weight since Molly came into the picture! More active and playful. Thankful for the cat distribution system for Molly.

I just say, “let me see the tummy” and I get some poses! Normally I’m closer and he knows he’ll get some rubs or a chance to play-bite with his tummy trap.

Both orzo and mousse started with blue eyes. But over the four+ months, mousse’s eye color changed to amber and orzos to the picture above. Do you think it will stay this color or change?

To preface this Salem( the cat i am discussing) is an almost 5 year old , 6.7lb what i think to be an exotic shorthair(I’m unsure as she was adopted, she just to me looks like one) . I’ll start this from the absolutely beginning, salem has had issues since i have gotten her.Her previous owners brought her to the vet clinic i worked at and she was brought in to be euthanized, she was a little bit over 2 years old , after a long process she was surrendered to me. After a couple months of antibiotics we got an x-ray and found out she had stones. We paid for the surgery and within a month she went from super depressed, tired all the time and recluse to a very happy girl. She showed her true personality, a cuddly and very hyper girl. Now fast forward to may of this year. We took her to a different vet and at her first exam we were told she needed a dental, an fho and possibly a surgery for her luxating patella. We did the dental first of course and all of her teeth had to be removed (she had 27 left) as she had tooth reabsorbation. Approximately 2 months later is when we did the fho surgery. The vet recommended it first as they thought her hip was a bigger issue than her luxating patella( grade 2 at the time).From what we were told she had a malformed ball joint that wouldn’t fit into the hip. We got that surgery and things went downhill from there. We stretched her leg every day for 2 months. Within those 2 months she did not get much better. I was told recovery can take a long time but it has been 3 months now and she till limps on that leg and still cries when we stretch it. Since the surgery she barely ran, played or done much of anything . She is constantly sleeping now and it doesn’t make it any better that i’m giving her pain meds everyday that make her very sleepy.She lifts the bad leg all the time and can barley jump. I ended up taking her to the vet about 2 weeks ago and Was told she now needs luxating patella surgery and her leg that was operated on got worse. before i could stretch her knee and it would sometimes pop out now it always comes out and a lot of the time stays out. I didn’t know this was a possible outcome. We are taking her to a specialist to possibly talk about luxating patella surgery but the more i look it up the less confident i am. I know since she has about a grade 3 or 4 she has a much higher chance of the knee slipping out of place. Now another option is amputation . The one thing i worry about with amputation is her other leg has a grade 1 luxating patella. I’m worried it’s gonna get worse like the other one.She has also been through a lot for such a tiny and young cat and i’m not sure if this surgery would benifit her. I need some second opinions as i feel the vet is just recommendeding things to make me hopeful but not thinking about her QOL and long term care.I have already spent 5k on her surgery’s , 4k just being this year. I just don’t wanna spend more money if it’s not worth it. If anyone has a tripod exotic shorthair i would love to hear your experience with amputation. I don’t want to euthanize her as she still has a long life to live , she still tries to follow me around the house she still very occasionally runs and she still loves to cuddle with me . At the end of the day though this is about her happiness and not mine . Thank you for listening to my rant!

Orzo (the racoon looking one) was the smallest of the litter and mousse was the biggest. They are the most loving boys and I’m so excited.
