Academic Advice exam (done for?)

I thought this would be the best place to ask, is there any hope i can cram half a semester of physics II for a midterm afternoon tomorrow currently VERY behind to pass??

Any advice? I honestly think im so burnt out im tired of even thinking about it but im so stressed since I cannot fail the class.

Whatever you do, sleep for 6 to 8 hours.

At this point make sure to start with the stuff you know so you don’t make dumb mistakes on the stuff you can actually do. Then try to study the rest. Focus on fully understanding whatever you can rather than half studying everything. You might fail or you might scrape by with a pass but you’ll definitely fail if you don’t try.

Might fail but that’s ok just retake it and actually try. Learn the lesson once.

Id say you have about the same chance of doing that successfully as in one night creating an insertable chip for your brain that contains the entire code for ChatGPT.

So basically the chance is slim, but mostly no.

Study perma, make sure to sleep 6-8 hours, then grind until the test 🤷‍♂️

If you have the math chops then fundamentals at that level might give you enough to derive a significant chunk of the rest. The core physics II topics are over-taught by a factor of 4-5 in my experience (that is, for each principle you learn you can probably apply it to get several others with the right reasoning). The edges (more specific topics) are probably where you're going to fall flat...

It's possible but not likely. Just do your best and get your money's worth out of the course. Then if you need to retake, that's fine. It's not a big deal to retake some classes. It'll just set you a semester back if you don't take summer classes, but not a big deal.

Id say cramming all the problems in the textbook would be the way to go. Make sure you cover every TYPE of problem, and have a guideline written down. Like a cheat sheat. You can use AI for the first round ( so dont do EVERY problem, just at least one from each group. Put the txtbk pdf into AI and have it pick out easier ones for you so that you cover everytopic) . Then do a second round( ask AI to give you slightly harder problems, and dont refer to AI on how to solve for them. Refer to your guideline. If you spend too much time trying to figure it out, use AI and write down how this problem differs from the first problem you did of the same type. Continue till you master proficiency.

I wish you started studying earlier though, this method is very effective for me when spaced out in 2 weeks

I have used it for when im studying for something in 2 days though

Also if your prof doesnt allow cheat sheets or formula sheets ( memorize the gosh darn formulas)

For physics i always write down my Knowns and my Unknowns. Then i look at my formulas and see which one has been covered the most by my knowns.

For example if i know distance and speed, use a formula that used distance, speed, and height, so you can solve for height. The more knowns or pieces of info you gather, the mote easier it is to solve the problem.

Also VERY important ask around and see whether your prof uses stuff from the textbook or from his notes or from his practice.  Ask students who already took his class.

Physics 2? Nah lmao sorry, usually I’m pretty optimistic but bro I actually paid attention in physics 2, had an involved professor, took notes, got a cheat sheet and STILL got like a 50.

Does your professor allow students to use notes for the exam? If not you’re cooked. My advice is as soon as the professor turns his back take photos of the exam, goto the restroom and use AI to get answers, write answers on small piece of paper. You can also go to your university hospital and pretend to be sick, get your doctors note and show your professor and ask if you can take the exam another day. They can’t say no because you have a doctors note. University policy. This will buy you more time to study. Good luck
