All this hate surround Em is due to pure ignorance and recency bias
A lot of talk online about Rap God and how bad it sounds now...
They clearly never heard Smack You but I get it that track was unreleased and way after it was culturally relevant. Let's bring more attention to THAT era than pure rap skill technical tracks he made in the 2010s post-prime.

Never seen so many people cry over 1 feature and 1 song and these are Eminem fans?
All the post including this one is about that feature “oh how dare he team up with kid rock” it’s kinda embarrassing to see grown men in there 30s and 20s cry over a 50 year old man being in another 50 year old man song.
If you hate it so much, how do you feel about the simpsons having Kelsey Grammar as Sideshow Bob and Kid Rock in an episode.
And why all the hate now all of sudden you do know 50 cent is an avid Trump Supporter and been friends with Eminem since he signed him and calls him his brother now, it’s funny there was no outrage then, there was also no outrage when he did a song with Kid Rock ages ago.
If your whole thing is Kid Rock supports Trump so does 50 and Snoop

Eminem just happened to find a kid from the otherseas, in a way, showed the same hunger he once had—and as far as I’m concerned, all three tracks are fire. Eminem spazzed 🔥

As someone who doesn’t frequent this sub (mostly checked it during/after TDOSS) how is everyone losing their minds over this kid rock shit lmao
Based on the top posts you’d think Eminem announced he was introducing Trump at a KKK rally or some shit lmao.

What's the worst Shady Records album ever?
I was listening to DU4LI7IY: REDUX by EZ MIL and even though I like a lot of his stuff with em and even some solo ones it the album was not very good, so it got me thinking.

Kid Rock, Eminem, Lil Wayne: The story behind a frantic album scramble
freep.comr/Eminem • u/fraterchaote • 23h ago
You guys bullied Eminem off of the Kid Rock album
No idea what he said in his verses, no context of the songs lyrics in general. Couldn't we have at least heard it?
Yes, Kid Rock bad, Kid Rock likes Trump, Kid Rock cringe and right wing etc etc.
Em might have called that shit out on the track with HIM.
P.s. I hope Eminem collabs with Ronnie Radke and they don't announce it beforehand

“OMG Eminem didn’t do a verse with Tupac! He chose Kid Rock instead!”
For all the old fans saying this, you should feel fucking stupid having this pointed out. For the new fans I don’t blame you, you’re just ignorant.
In 2003 the documentary Tupac: Resurrection was being made and Eminem reached out to Afeni Shakur to produce a song for the album. She agreed and he released the song Runnin’ featuring Tupac and Biggie, with a beautiful Edgar Winter sample. I attached the song.
This was such a success that Afeni Shakur gave Eminem Tupac’s unreleased material. She trusted him with her son's entire unreleased material and he in return wrote her a letter of appreciation, heart felt and available to read online. He then used those verses to produce an entire album for her estate and took absolutely no money for the entire project. It all went to her. Its Tupacs 9th album, called Loyal To The Game.
Lets put that into perspective, that’s a 13 track album produced entirely by Eminem for absolutely no money whatsoever. A year after the Eminem show, during his prime. All 13 tracks produced by Eminem.
You might remember the song linked below, it was the lead single of the album: Ghetto Gospel. Maybe you don’t. How about you stop thinking he’s some embarrassment to hip hop and actually understand what he’s done for it.

I think realistically for Em to drop a legacy classic album it would need to feature some or any of these people:
Lil Wayne
Grip
Boogie
Redman
Nas
Andre 3k
Ice Cube
J Cole
Wu Tang
Xzibit
D12
Just want some real hitters and legends

Looks like Em actually wrote/recorded 2 verses for Kid

Say Em somehow reads this post. What would you tell him?
What would you want him to change about his music?
I want him to finally tell that choppy, staccato flow to fuck off and remember he's the guy who made The Way I Am, Lose Yourself, Sing for the Moment, and other songs with insane flow and delivery.
His recent stuff leans way more on technique. It's a million multis, wordplay, quadruple entendres, metaphors, similes, and all that. He's so focused on being technically impressive that he forgets how a song SOUNDS matters too. Lose Yourself is technically flawless, but it also just sounds insane. The flow, the delivery, all of it. It's got the best of BOTH worlds, and these days he's putting everything into one side of it.
It's wild that the guy who made The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show is the same guy who made... Revival.
It feels like his whole approach to music changed. If he doesn't care how it sounds anymore, he should just be a poet instead of a rapper. Go be Robert Frost or something.
I can appreciate his lyrics from Revival... on paper. But when I actually hit play, my ears are bleeding.

Was Calm Down inspiration for MADARA?
Think about it, both of Em's verses reference his verse on Dead Wrong, both use pan fried egg as a simile in the beginning, the start of both songs start with something about gay people, Em sent a 42 bar verse to Busta for Calm Down (and later sent multiple different verses with increasing bar count) and his verse on MADARA was 48. It really could just be a coincidence, but it was something I thought might be worth sharing

Don’t understand the hate for this album, I love it.
Maybe I’m biased because growing up Pac was my first favorite rapper. Me and my family listened to his music heavy! I was addicted to this album before I even knew Em produced it.
Now I appreciate it even more because Em’s production was so distinctive and unique around 2002-2006. The Black Cotton beat is so fire I wish Em kept it for himself and did a whole song on it lol. It’s also one of his best hooks. His voice is silky smooth on it.
It’s cool that my favorite rapper when I got older produced my childhood favorite rappers posthumous album. Other than the weird mixing on Pac’s vocals on some of the songs, this album is a solid 8 out of 10 for me.

The last concert where Em was rocking the Kangol cap. Pretty sure it was Kangol.
Back in 2023 when 50 Cent was performing at Detroit (it was either September or October). Cool concert overall. Would’ve been nice if they performed You Don’t Know before Marshall left. Ideally right when he says “Don’t fuckin act like you didn’t know I was going to be here tonight.” Missed opportunity there, but whatever.
