Several years ago, maybe more, we went to a Mexican restaurant and I can't find it again. They had a station at the front where they made tortillas fresh. You ordered at the counter. There was outdoor seating. It was in the back corner of parking lot and there was a Food Max or similar right there. It was either off Laguna or Sheldon. I know, very vague. It may even be out of business, but it's worth a try! Any help is appreciated

Something decently priced but obviously without compromising quality. Thanks in advance!

Tough to find a legit mechanic that is trust worthy and isn’t trying to up sell, over charge or scam you in some way. Any recommendations on good ones and why would be greatly appreciated.

I walked out from work at the Laguna Crossroads shopping center and was targeted by two young African American male late teens, early 20s, wearing a white and black hoodie wearing surgical masks. They ran towards me, and ripped my gold necklace (chain) off my neck. It has a pendant with an ox on it. My mom gave that to me when I was a teenager, so it was very sentimental to me. They ran straight across ross area and I called the police but it was too late. Any ideas what I can do to try and look for my stolen necklace? I'll upload the video footage that I have to see if anyone might know about these young kids. Has anyone else experienced this lately? PD said that it's more common younger kids are doing these types of things now.

We’re actually making the big move (southern California to Elk Grove) this year, at the end of the school year after having this on our mind for a few years.
For those who moved here after living, growing up, or starting a family elsewhere first, what do you wish you had known before you moved? For those who’ve lived here forever, what do you wish people considered before moving to your city?
For anyone - if you have any tips for planning/managing or “must remember”s for doing a move across the state with two small children, feel free to share that as well
potentially relevant details - spouse wfh, i’m not currently working but have a cleared multiple subjects credential and will have my masters by the time we arrive, child 1 is a preschooler who is currently in a public preschool and we plan to enroll in EGUSD preschool when we get there, child 2 is an infant, politically left, like doing outdoor things as a family, love the library and anywhere with free and lowcost things for young kids, also we are a multiracial family

There is soooo much development happening in every corner of Elk Grove. I’m wondering if the city gov has taken the opportunity to make walkable areas? I’ve been living here since 2010 and feel it would have been very possible to be less car reliant by now. We could have pushed for more bike centered streets if we really wanted. I guess it also depends on how most residents would feel about biking.

You know that one type of pasta…. Fresh cooked pasta then they toss it in some butter and then they throw it on this big block of Parmesan cheese and mix and mix and mix. Where can I find one of those types of pastas places here in Elk Grove or Sacramento that mix it in the big Parmesan cheese?

Hi all! I am hoping so can find someone, or be directed to, someone who can help set up for my BabyShower at the last minute in Elk Grove.
I am really just looking for someone to help with brining table clothes, set up balloons, and anything else typical of setting up for a baby shower.
If you can help, or someone you know works in this space, please let me know or DM me!
Thank you in advance!

Hi, we've been in the area for about 8 months now. And we're trying to find a reasonably priced dog groomer. Weve tried Petco and not a fan. Our last groomer is out in Rosemont which is kind of a drive now that we're here and have a 4 month old baby. Looking for some recommendations. Nothing fancy or boujee, just a regular trimming every 3 months. Our little guy's fur is starting to get a little out of control lol.

Any fun places to watch the game this Sunday in EG? Not so loud that you can’t hear the announcers. Good food. Good crowd of fans.
Suggestions?

Help! My Texan husband said he misses food from back home. Where can we go for Tex Mex and Chicken Fried steak? I’m willing to travel up to an hour or 90 min away.

Hi all I am a parent of a young kid who attends the above Daycare.
I have tried to speak with the teachers about some concerns I had but was brushed off.
A few concerns were:
- them losing my child's labeled items.
- them repeatedly asking for specific items and were told no *due to a medical issue with my child, they still insisted
- small injuries not disclosed, self inflicted or otherwise I will never know. And when asked no explaination provided
The issues seemed to begin after our child was injured by another child (biting the broke skin) and we asked the parents of the other child be spoken to about it.
Some of the teachers have their own children attending this daycare, which is great for them! But I am worried about the potential for conflicts of interest.
I am wondering if anyone has had any issues with them? Or if everything is wonderful.
I do love that they send photos throughout the day. And i love the learning through play.
I wish they were able to tell me a bit about how the day went for my child when I ask, as they are in a smaller class size.
Overall my child seems happy, but they can't tell me if something is wrong. I just am concerned as we have an unexplained injury currently.
