5 months ago I posted about my friend, Eileen Eady, a former field organizer for Elizabeth Warren's Presidential campaign here in Nevada who is now running for state legislature in her own right. We have come a long way since then, she's got some big endorsements like EMILYs List, and now Eileen's first ad is out, running on local TV and all the streaming services! It's exciting to watch a campaign grow up, and Eileen's has been so grounded in Warren's movement with many of Eileen's earliest donors and volunteers being people she met organizing way back when during the 2020 presidential primary.

Now, all that said, airtime is expensive and Eileen is up against a Trump Republican in a red leaning district so any help is always appreciated. If you'd like to donate to help Eileen fight a righteous fight, here' the link: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/keep_eady_on_the_air

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is exceptionally qualified to steer America toward a progressive future. As a dynamic and highly intelligent leader, she prioritizes the needs of the public while maintaining an impressive command of data and policy. Her agility, resilience, and accessibility make her a compelling voice for a new generation. True advocacy for women and children requires leadership that intimately understands their lived experiences. The youth are inheriting severe systemic challenges, and we must empower them to construct their own future. Her path to Washington eight years ago demonstrates a formidable political strength that critics often misjudge out of a lack of understanding. It is time to stop dismissing the majority of Americans who are ready for this transformative leadership.

Rule Four is still in full effect. You may critique the party as a whole, the candidates, policies, etc. but as we've always maintained, do so with civility and the Warren rules in mind. Ask yourself, what would Liz do?

I saw some old video of Lindsey Graham and Elizabeth Warren and another Senator in the Ukraine. I was kind of surprised to see her there supporting the war against Russia. Why is she such a staunch supporter of the war?

Major Tax Overhauls & Incentives

• OBBBA Rollout: The highlights that the OBBBA permanently extends the 2017 individual tax cuts and expands standard deductions.
• Exemptions for Hourly and Senior Workers: Targeted exemptions eliminate federal taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security benefits.
• Capital Expensing: The law implements full expensing of business capital investments.

1. Deregulation, Energy, and Infrastructure

• Federal Land Access: The administration has systematically dismantled restrictions on public land usage, allowing expanded domestic oil, natural gas, and mineral extraction.
• Permitting Reform: Streamlined environmental and bureaucratic approval pipelines seek to accelerate nationwide energy and utility construction.

1. Cuts to Welfare and Health Care Realignment

• Insurance Reductions: Structural cutbacks embedded in the OBBBA take effect, including tighter income checks for Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces and the expiration of enhanced tax credits, causing an estimated 5 million people to lose health coverage.
• Nutrition and Subsidy Restrictions: Deep structural constraints implemented against Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) focus on shrinking federal mandatory spending.

It’s the same story every time: Private equity marches in, a few wealthy investors buy the outfit, strip out the assets, load the company up with debt, and suck money out of it until it collapses.

Then, after thousands and thousands of workers have been laid off, after pensions get raided, and after stores close, those private equity firms walk away with their pockets stuffed with cash.

And there goes your local mall and all the stores you grew up with.

“What are you going to do, baby?” Sen. Elizabeth Warren says a Democratic Congress could push childcare through and dare Trump to veto help for American families.

Hey Warren World,

A good friend of mine, Eileen Eady, is running for state legislature here in Nevada; she's a Warren field organizer from the 2020 Presidential campaign, a retired special education teacher, and a mom of three kids. She's running against the local Republican champion of the SAVE Act. There's no primary race.

She's running to be a working class champion in the state legislature, to tackle the cost of living crisis, and to fix our schools. I just want to put her on people's radar, particularly to let more of the Warren family know that one of our own is running.

Check out her website! Consider throwing a couple of bucks her way if you can afford it. And keep an eye out for this one, I think you'll be seeing news about her flipping a seat from Red to Blue in November!
