Screenshot I found my calling...

Post image

After trying mining, hauling and pvp/pve, finding my first unexplored system and landing on a planet no one has ever been on is such a satisfying experience. I'm currently 3000 LY east of SOL and 500 LY south of the galactic plane. The edge of the bubble is truly the frontier.

What ship are running right now? I just saved up enough to get a Corsair but I’m thinking of just engineering my diamondback and jump in the black too!

I’m running a Caspian, fitted for pure exploration. No weapons. It currently has a jump range of 48LY, slightly engineered. From my small experience, some trials and errors, 48LY is enough if you’re exploring the border of the bubble. Most systems below or above the galactic plane are unexplored starting at 300LY. Just make sure you have a good fuel scoop and a SRV if you don’t wanna run around on planets.

o7 Commander. A future trip to Colonia is a must! Undiscovered systems, galore and the stars are beautiful.

Im very new here, still hanging out in the bubble, will I encounter new star types out there than where I am now?

Oh yeah. Very cool and strange things - There is a planet out by colonia that orbits through the wake of a neutron star. Its pretty intense. Also, there is a planet you can land on with 10x the gravity of Earth. Between black holes and nebulas, it is amazing.
While discovering new systems is a rush, just wait until you discover a neutron star or an Earth-like world. I am jealous you get to do all this for the first time! If you ever need help, i am CMDR WilliamRobert. Look me up!

Sounds super cool! Thank you, ive been learning slowly with YouTube and a friend that plays, enjoying the process and finally earning some ranks (exploration and a bit of mining). Still so much to figure out, ill reach out! o7

I got a FC just for exploring. That way I can have a base to gather my billions of credits and have any ship I need handy. I would recommend engineering that Caspian. Mine does nearly 90LY and is a treat to drive. Nomad changed the game for real.

Enjoy your new time sink. I have found a few earth planets and that's always pretty cool.

o7 Get ready to stack up First Footfalls and make big bucks by exploring! If you ever want to get back into mining, bookmark pristine rings when you find them. I'm currently taking steps to do a little engineering on a Panther Clipper Mk. II, specifically to revisit my bookmarked rings and do some long-haul mining.
