Bearclaw and Joyleaf Recognition

I was reading Wolfrider and in the chapter where Bearclaw and Joyleaf recognize, at the beginning of the chapter there is an info that this story might've been told differently in the past and that gets overwritten by what they show in this comic. I do remember seeing the recognition of them both in some comic before, but I don't remember where.
Does anyone remember where we saw that?

So the thing they retconed was actually that Skywise caught the spiritmaker and not a snake

Which makes more sense in some ways. A venomous spider would be more common to a forest than a poisonous snake. And as far as Cuttet's death goes, it being a small spider instead of a snake makes more sense as well. Cutter feels an itch and reaches to scratch only to find in his hand, the thing, out of all the battles and the long questing and scrapes with humans and trolls and fellow elves, a small part of his forest home would lead to his demise. That it was held in his hand with him looking at it, we the reader didn't see what it was until Rayek did.
