RF Design getting me nuts

Hello Fam,

I started my masters in Germany in Electrical engineering this winter semester. One of the core modules I'm taking is RF Design. Right now, I don't know if it's the model of teaching by the prof, or the way the course is structured that is making me nuts.

From the very first class, we started using Cadense AWR which is cool, but the world speed and pace is not manageable for me.

What's your advice and suggestions to get to speed. Also, what resources will help.

The main resource we're using is microwave and RF Design: Michael Steer and RF engineering course by Dr Francesco Fornetti.

Small paid project: BLE + piezo flex PCB design (student budget)

Hi! I’m a student building a thin, flexible Bluetooth LE tag. I’m looking for an electrical engineer to help with the schematic, board layout, parts list, and manufacturer-ready files. I have a very tight timeline and am hoping to start soon (ideally within the next day or so), but I'm flexible once we agree on scope. I have a small fixed budget, so I’d like to start with something well-defined (a design review, or schematic first) and see what’s realistic. I can share the technical details, and I’d like to agree on confidentiality and ownership in writing before we start. Please DM me with your experience, availability, and what you think is feasible. Thank you!

Kindly assist, anyone.

What should I expect in an interview with Mott Macdonald for an electrical engineering graduate role. What questions do they normally ask.

Anyone get hired for an electrical engineering job in the US from overseas?

Asking for someone I know. He has a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and worked in the Gulf, but recently lost his job and is now back in Pakistan.

He’s looking for a company that would hire him from Pakistan and sponsor his US work visa. He’s open to junior roles too and flexible on location.

Has anyone actually done this recently, or know a company that’s hiring people from overseas? We’ve seen jobs that say they offer sponsorship, but can’t tell if they mean only people already in the US.

Would appreciate any company names or leads. Just trying to help him figure out where he has a realistic chance. Thanks!
